Set menu-first course of hummus, lebnah and bread

Hands down one of the most incredible meals of my life. Every dish was so thoughtfully crafted, each ingredient was intentional and beautiful. The service was perfect, our waiter was adorable and so fun. Tiny restaurant but they had everything timed perfectly so it worked. Loved the music choices. Would love to try the Al la carte menu, and the other location, definitely try over the holidays. Loved this place.

This was definitely one of the HIGHLIGHTS of our food adventures in london!! So glad that our friend recommended this place. When we got there, they told us since there were three of us, we could mix and match between the vegan and vegetarian options vs. just choosing one (with two guests they ask that you make a decision). We decided to go fully vegetarian, but the waiter threw in a couple extra dishes for us. One of the BEST dishes was the labneh and lafa. The labneh was literally to die for. So flavorful and came with roasted garlic and another herby sauce. Pro-tip: you can ask for as much lafa as you want. We definitely took advantage and got 3 rounds of it... still dreaming about it! Hummus was also solid. Second highlight was the aubergine with date sauce and a mint-like chutney. All the flavors worked so well together. My fiancé doesn't even like eggplant, and he loved it. Lastly, the halloumi was top notch. The sauces worked so well together (another thing my fiancé typically doesn't like, but loved this time around). I would say everything else was great, except for the mushrooms. It had a more burnt taste and didn't live up to the rest of the items. We had all of this with a bottle of wine, and were extremely pleased and happy with the service and food. The inside vibe was great - small downstairs portion (a little tight) and looks like they had more seats outside. 100% coming back when we visit london again.

This was easily one of the best meals of my life! As a vegetarian with food limitations, I don't always have the most flavorful options when I go out to eat, and every bite was interesting and delicious here! The staff was super accommodating (not judgey) at all about my allergies and marked up a menu for me. The halloumi, hummus, labnah with zataar, grilled leek and amba, grilled fennel, and desserts were ALL amazing! I wish I had more room in my stomach to try more dishes! Will definitely be back on my next trip to London.

Incredible restaurant, and I'm saying that as a meat lover. Everything I had was fantastic. I'll never forget the burnt butter hummus, best hummus I ever had. The halloumi in honey was great, not the chewy salty halloumi I'm used to. Falafel were also among the best I ever had, fresh, moist, perfect. Roast aubergine also excellent, just the right amount of seasoning.

Amazing. That's all I have to say. Went in there not knowing what to expect besides the fact that it was an entirely vegetarian menu. We got the set menu, and everything delivered. The mocktails were also delicious paired with the menu. Only downside was I was lowkey swatting away fruit flies nearly the entire time, I don't know if it was cause we were seated in a corner or something else; that being said, it didn't take away from the experience. It's nature right, lol Don't have many pictures after the first items because I put my phone away but here area few pics of the bread and hummus and array of pickled items.

While visiting London, we were looking for vegan and vegetarian options in the area of Spitalfield's Market, and although there are many food stands with a myriad of choices there, it was a very hot day and very crowded at lunchtime. We happened upon Bubala's as we were searching online, thought the menu looked intriguing, and sought it out. Were we glad we did! The ambience is cool and relaxed and the food far surpassed anything we had expected. While the restaurant was crowded with young professionals on their lunch hour when we arrived, by the time we finished lunch the crowd had cleared out and we had a chance to chat with our knowledgeable and congenial waitress, Annu, about how much we had enjoyed our meal. We began with Chili Crunch Hummus accompanied by hot, deliciously seasoned laffa bread for dipping. Among the best versions of hummus we have ever had. We ordered two of the Oyster Mushroom Skewers and they were delectable. We ordered a second laffa so as not to waste any of the sauce. We are almost always plant-based, but could not resist ordering the halloumi with black seed honey. We splurge with dairy products sometimes when on vacation, and this cheese option was definitely worth splurging on. The Falafel platter was excellent and the patties were green with fresh herbs, which is the way I prefer them, and not greasy, which could sometimes be the case. After consuming all this, we were stuffed, but intrigued by the dessert menu. Although we had asked for the check, Annu subsequently brought us a complimentary bowl of the frozen coconut malabi, which we managed to find room for anyway because it was so light, delicious, and unique. This is definitely a place to which I would like to return. Its imaginative and tasty interpretation of what are usually ordinary dishes make it a place which is well worth seeking out.

Mains: Chicken Pastilla - This was my favorite dish of the meal, as the chicken and other ingredients were enclosed within this crispy exterior - very tasty. Lamb Kofta - This was basically like lamb sausages, which were good but nothing that special, although the sauce did add some nice flavor as well. Sides (or as they call them, salads): Aubergine - Came with 2 slices of aubergine; I liked the white sauce on top which gave it a little extra creamy flavor Cauliflower- Very standard so not much to comment on here Mushrooms - Pretty nice pairing with the lentils as well Butternut Squash - Well cooked with some parmesan shavings on top My main issue here was the value, as each combo of main + 2 sides costs 29.50 GBP, and the portion sizes were rather small (refer to my photo). In fact, they even combined 2 sides into 1 small plate because the portions were so small. The interior is very nice though, as it is an elegant yet minimalistic type of design. It wasn't too busy for lunch even on a weekend. The staff are fairly friendly and attentive. The service speed is pretty quick. Overall, the pros of Ottolenghi are that the food is pretty good and the environment is nice. However, the cons are that the portion sizes are small (so value might not be great) and the lunch menu is fairly limited. Therefore, all things considered, I am giving Ottolenghi 4 stars.

I haven't been at a market though for ages and haven't have any arancini for longer - so I was happily excited to see the Arancini Brothers logo when I was killing some time looking around the shops at Liverpool Street station. I immediately went up the stairs into Broadgate and was rewarded with a tiny little shop with a limited menu - stew box, salad box, or wrap. I do think they did more but I was blinded by the arancini... I really only wanted a box of 4 arancini with their lovely garlic mayo but thought I'd counteract the starch with some salad and went for the salad box. £4.50 I believe, for 4 arancini and some basic - but tasty - salad. As I went late in the day and they were going to close soon, the girl behind the counter gave me a couple extra arancini. They were as good as ever, but as it was late they were a little on the hard side. However, they were still delicious and I didn't leave a scrap of the arancini. The salad was fine - a lettuce mix, topped with shredded carrot with chickpeas, and then some jalapenos and crispy onions. I'm definitely going to be going back soon during lunch time to get some arancini done up nice and fresh, and hopefully will be able to update this to the 5 star review I know they deserve when they're on point.

FOOD 10/10 I haven't eaten Indian food much, but was thoroughly impressed. From my mango lassi which was perfectly sweetened and tart to buttered buns, fried okra, black Dahl, garlic naan, and lamb skewers, everything was delicious. I esp loved the lamb skewers! The food was exceptional -- aroma, flavors, spice levels, portions; everything was perfect. While visiting London, a local friend invited me to Dishoom, knowing how much I love Indian cuisine. We arrived on a Sunday afternoon around 5PM, and the place was already packed. They don't take reservations for dinner unless you're a large group, but trust me, the wait is worth it. They have a fantastic bar where you can grab drinks while you wait for a table (they give you buzzers). I tried the Negroni and another tequila-based cocktail (sadly I can't remember the name), and both were phenomenal. Shared plates are definitely the way to go at Dishoom. We ordered the gunpowder potatoes (incredible), an appetizer with potatoes and pineapple (not my favorite; the pineapple threw me off), monkfish curry (amazing), and chicken curry. It was a lot of food for just two of us, but I couldn't stop eating. I seriously wanted to bottle up that sauce! The service was surprisingly impeccable, especially considering how busy they were. We ended up spending about £110 for an incredible dinner, and we nearly couldn't finish everything. Lastly, the ambiance! Inspired by Iranian cafes in India, the atmosphere at Dishoom is eclectic. I loved the dim lighting, unique decor, and the lively pace of the restaurant. Just go!

In that case I suggest you go for the falafel salad in a box. For extra protein and deliciousness, I'd add an egg for an extra 60p. (And if you really want to go crazy, add that dollop of tasty guacamole as well!) 2b) You're hungry? Go for the classic falafel sandwich in pita bread - make sure to get the wholemeal pita, as your health will thank you for it! Now, last but not least, please make sure that especially if you're going for option 2b, you take plenty of napkins with you - as you will need them!
