Self-serve vegan/vegetarian food that didn't have an hour and a half wait?? YES PLEASE. The food was delicious, so many options, so many flavors; just plate anything and everything and go weigh it and pay at the bar! Loved the concept of the place, good vibes all around, friendly and attentive staff. It was pretty expensive at dinner time, not sure if the weight of the plate had anything to do with it? My plate was £18 alone. Well worth it though, because we were starving and there was no wait on a Friday night. Would definitely return but maybe not on an empty stomach.

Outside is great on a warm day!

Awesome food and great location. Hidden away in a secret alley is Regent street's best food secret. Seriously tasty food excellent drinks and plenty of choice for vegetarian vegan and ovo lacto aware eaters. I'm not picky about my ingredients but I am picky about my quality and Tibits is a great food and drink refueling spot.

Everything is so fresh and neatly presented! The carrots with their secret recipe were so good, I went and got a whole bowl of them! I also love that there is a lot of vegan options I'm defiantly coming back for lunch or dinner

It's time for an updated review. I come here regularly because it's an absolutely beautiful, delicious restaurant in a great location. Tibits has a wide variety of delicious vegetarian and vegan cuisine. It's set up buffet style and you weigh the food once you've piled everything on. It's very large with beautiful seating on the main floor and downstairs. Whenever I come here I always want to try a little bit of everything because it's all absolutely delicious. They even have a cook book which I've been cooking from! I love it, and I've made one of my close meat-eating friends a lover of this place as well. Tibits is one of my favourite places in London. :)

Huge selection of offerings. The problem is fitting it all on your plate!

I am not fond of buffets. An obscene amount of food all cooked mediocrely and left to sit under a plethora of warming lights for God knows how long? Various cuisines mixed in together due to overzealous patrons dropping some of their scoops? Unnatural colors that look more like they belong in a bucket of paint? Yeah no thanks. Even in Las Vegas, the heart of buffet food, I actively shudder at the mention of attending one. Thankfuly Tibits is not that kind of buffet. Upon walking in, one is greeted with the smell of fresh food that is beautifully prepared and labeled accordingly. Everything looks good. I don't think I've ever stuffed my plate with so many different options. And it's all vegetarian! From a variety of salads (loved the Asian slaw and beluga lentil salad) to entrees (mmm spiced vegetable & chickpea tangine) to desserts, there's plenty for everyone. My husband and I went here when we visited London a few years ago and couldn't wait to go back on our most recent visit. Yeah, it was that good. You also pay by weight so there's no need to overstuff your plate just to get your money's worth.. Just be careful, with so many tasty looking options, Tibits can get very costly!

While I am a known carnivore amongst my friends and vegetarian restaurants seem to me like they are missing the main course, Tibits is one vegetarian restaurant that I actually really like. Initially I enjoyed the novelty of having a buffet that you can pick and choose what and how much food you want on your plate, I loved that in hotels when I was little, and the fact that you just pay by weight, so there's no dish that's more expensive and you can pay according to how much you wish to eat. The food itself is all delicious and you get to try lots of different dishes so there is something there for everyone. They also have a very nice juice selection and organic beer. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the furniture looks very pretty in pastel colours and rustic elements. When it's warm you can sit outside and enjoy the sun and fresh air and it does make you forget you are at the heart of central London.

Wanting to escape the madness of Regent Street, I took shelter at Tidbits, a vegetarian buffet restaurant where you pay by weight. I wasn't quite sure what to expect of this place, but I was pleasantly surprised when I first walked in. A large bar was to the right and the buffet to the left. The place had a stylish club/lounge feel to it - a little on the sexy side, inviting and the kind of establishment you'd want to linger around after dinner. Is this really a vegetarian place? ;-) Being my first time there, the host said to grab a plate, fill it up with food, take it to the bar area to have it weighed, order drinks if desired and pay for everything. Easy as that! The hot food was on top and salad/cold food on the bottom. There was a good representation of dishes available - Asian, Italian, Middle Eastern and Indian. You'll need to be careful, as it can add up quickly wanting to cram your plate with everything. I was able to escape with a plate of food and a drink for just a hair under £10. Overall the food was good, and if money wasn't an object, I would have gone back for seconds and thirds! Gluten free options were available, including bread. Dessert was also on the buffet, with fresh fruit, cheesecake and blueberry muesli.

The food was tasty. I liked that they marked everything with gluten-free, vegan and nuts. I did as recommended from other Yelp-ers and took first one plate with a little bit of everything. And later one with more of the things I liked most. The total price was much more expensive as a whole meal in other restaurants. Unfortuanetely I didn't get the impression that I got more for more money. Maybe this is normal with buffet-restaurants, but for me this was a unpleasant surprise.

PERFECT PLACE !!! Yes, it's really THE perfect place for people like me who loves to try and taste EVERYTHING but And here it's totally what you can do. You just pick everything you want in the smallest bites if you want and the price will be made from the weight of your plate :) I took a little bit of almost every single dishes and it cost me less than 7£ !!! PLUS, the quality of the food is AMAZING and very HEALTHY !!! A TREASURE place where I will go often !!

Fantastic vegetarian restaurant in a beautiful pedestrian street in the heart of London, just second away from Regent St. Basically you pick up a plate, to choose he food from the buffet style display and then you pay by weight. I tried a bit of everything and everything was very tasty. There is a big variety of cold and warm dishes!

Pasta is always a good choice

I went with my mum as a birthday treat before going to the theatre and the food was absolutely DELICIOUS!! It's in the Regent street food quarter, just next to the ice bar, off regent street. Very easy to get to with lots of tube stations nearby! It's a buffet style, pile it on and then take it to the till to be weighed. There is a massive range of food from all around the world available and it is all lovely and fresh. Pricing is pretty reasonable, a meal for my mum & I + 2 glasses of prosecco came to around £40, which we were pleasantly surprised about. The staff were friendly and helpful. And I will most definitely be visiting again. If you want to read more, I wrote a review about it on my blog: http://eatsleepluisarepeat.co.uk/food/tibits-vegan-vegetarian-goodness/

Vegetarian brunch, little bit of everything!
    Bianca W.

Brilliant! I love buffet style restaurants and this one is top notch! All dishes are vegetarian, many vegan and gluten-free, everything is properly labeled and the selection is vast! There's so much to choose from, all dishes are fresh and seasonal and they even have a selection of tasty desserts. You pay by weight, so you don't feel a need to overeat as with many all-you-can-eat buffets. Though the selection is so good and delicious, you may still load up your plate way too much. Definitely worth a visit!

My beer and plate was £19. Ouch!
    Morgan H.

I love trying new vegan foods and was excited to try different things since it's set up like a buffet. However be warned its not exactly a buffet. You pay by weight and it is NOT cheap. The food was good but not amazing. The warm dishes could have been warmer (hence the missing star)

Widely regarded as one of the city's most popular vegan restaurants, it delivers food that is satisfying, hearty, and packed with flavour. I ordered the Chick+n Caesar Burger, which featured a plant-based chick+n patty, Caesar mayonnaise, lettuce, and red onion relish. My wife chose the Beetroot Carrot Vada Burger, made with a masala-spiced beetroot and carrot patty, mango lime slaw, green chutney, and tamarind chutney. Both burgers were served with a generous portion of fries and made for a very filling meal. What stood out most was the quality of the flavours and the portion sizes. Every ingredient felt thoughtfully chosen, and the combinations worked exceptionally well together. As someone who regularly eats meat, I was genuinely impressed by the texture and flavour of the Chick+n Caesar Burger. We also ordered two fresh juices: the Cucumber, Celery & Apple and the Pineapple, Apple, Ginger & Turmeric. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking to try something different, Mildreds is well worth a visit. The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the overall experience demonstrates just how good plant-based dining can be. It has to be some of the best Indian food I've had outside of India. The little complimentary chai while you wait in line is such a thoughtful touch and really sets the tone. Even though there was a queue, it moved surprisingly quickly. Once inside, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. As for the food... every dish we ordered was outstanding. Rich flavors, perfectly balanced spices, and you can tell a lot of care goes into every plate. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. If you're in London, don't overthink it. Just get in line, enjoy the chai, order what sounds good, and have a fantastic meal. We'll definitely be back the next time we're in town.

In my opinion, there are 2 main things to know about Dishoom: it's an Indian restaurant that is a chain, with 11 locations worldwide. The food is really good for a chain, bit it doesn't begin to come close to a restaurant that takes care of of its individual customers. Walking in, there's lots of energy. People are having a good time, there's no question. We were seated upstairs where there must have been around 40 tables. All of the staff are walking around in a hurry, cause everything here is in a hurry. The intention is to get you our in less than an hour. They want you in, through, and out. I saw this with multiple tables. Our server Yanko came to our table quite promptly and helped us make selections, both for food and drinks. For the first time in my experience eating in a restaurant, the appetizers arrived minutes before our cocktails. They came so fast that we didn't even think it was our order. And then moments after the drinks arrived, all of the main dishes and sides were placed on the table. With no way to keep anything warm. All of this with 10 minutes of placing the order. I appreciate prompt service, but this takes it to an absurd extreme. Our appetizers included the house Chaat and prawn koliwada. I enjoyed the prawns more but the flavors were facile, not close to what I expect and have enjoyed in excellent Indian restaurants. The main dishes were the Goan monkfish curry and Sali Goan. These were also just OK, absolutely nothing special. The cheese naan was soggy, though the flavor was good. This was an unacceptable texture for a naan. Dessert was Basmati Kheer, flavorful Basmati rice with fruit compote on top. In between and unneeded, was a thin layer of creme brulee. I did enjoy my tea: ginger, lemon and honey and my wife liked her mint tea. I do not know the restaurant scene in Edinburgh, we've been here for 4 days. But this is just not a place I'deven consider returning to. It's really a factory that feeds folks, not a restaurant that cares for its customers. The business model had been optimized to maximize income with lots of throughput. What's been almost completely lost in my opinion, is the heart and soul of the dining experience.
