I wanted to give this place 5 stars but I just couldn't move myself to do so . Let's talk about the bad first . I understand this is a vegan establishment. My friend who is not vegan was with me and she had some outside food with her . One of the guys asked her if it was meat she said yes , and he told her you can't bring that in here . It was tasteless . Now if he said no outside food I would understand but he was very abrupt and it just wasn't necessary . If you want others to be vegan then show some kindness . I think I may have went in around lunch time when others were on break because there were many waiters but it took a bit for someone to take my order . My server was a very nice man . The food was very tasty and delicious I enjoyed it but the lemon ginger tea was literally hot lemon water . I hope the next time I visit London and this establishment it's a bit more warmer

Expensive and the food was alright but not great. Looks pretty for a pic but just didn't taste very good. The staff was very nice though and a great ambiance! Maybe other things on the menu taste better?

I have heard so much good things about the brand before I visited it. However, it still outdid its reputation. The variety of food provided was decent and the staff was friendly. My dog was offered water right after we walked in. The avocado toast was normal, however the katsu hot dog was amazing - flavorful but not artificial. We ordered three mains, a starter and three drinks it's was £65 in total.

Back in London.... it's been a while so i obviously had to go to my favorite restaurant Mildred's. Decided to switch it up this time, walk up the canal and drop by Mildreds Camden . Same great service and amazing food, different atmosphere and bonus no lineups. They also have a different menu for people with allergies where allergens are written in bold red letters.

The food was very tasty and the service was very nice. We ordered a table two days before we went there via e-mail. But we didn't get a response. So we went there and it was very full. We had to wait for about 30 minutes until we got a table. The table was next to the door and every time somebody went out or in it was getting very cold. This was propably just bad luck. I recommend therefore to ring them and book a table in advance. In the time we had to wait to get a table we had some drinks in the bar, which were very delicious. I would definetely go back to Mildreds, because their menue was very promissing and I liked the food and the drinks. But next time I'll call and book a table in advance.

I'm a big fan of Mildreds in Soho, but the place always takes ages to get into if you want to eat at regular meal times. So I was excited when I heard that they will be opening another restaurant in Camden, and hey! 50% off during their opening month? What a deal. My partner and I went for lunch and ordered two sides to share, a main each, and shared a dessert. For the sides, we ordered the chips and guacamole and the sweet potato wedges. The guacamole was THE BEST guac I've ever had - fresh and light. We really gobbled it up! The prices are a bit higher than what you'd like to pay for in a vegetarian restaurant, but I must say that the portions are generous. The burrito was delicious, as I'd remembered it, and my partner really enjoyed his curry. For dessert we shared the Bailey's cheesecake, and boy were we glad we did because it was so dense and filling! I liked it a lot, but I think my partner didn't enjoy it as much as I did, so I guess there are mixed reviews there. I agree with him, though, that their creme brulees are special and was a bit disappointed not to find it on the menu. (But it's good to try different things, I guess!) The restaurant is very spacious and open, so it's a great change from the packed Soho location. Definitely recommend for hungry stomachs!

On the edge of the excitement of Camden is this remarkably uninteresting office type building. It's faded windows make it is harder to see in and it's lurid green window frames are perfect for putting people off. However if you are fortunate enough to see the board outside and perceptive enough to see through this shrouded window, you will see this occupant. It is a great example of how to do vegetarian cooking is inside. The recipes show how with a great variety of ingredients, spices, a little bit of oil, gentle cooking so it is both cooked but the flavours are retained. Dishes can be made which are really nice. The stir fries are fantastic, as are most of the dishes. The soup of the day was impressively thick and hearty, but the massive contrasting and conflicting tastes were not for me, others may love it though. The decor is the current trendy designer, artistic, traditional feel with a small slant of shabby chic. The decor is nice, but it does feel like they tacked the minimal amount onto the the boring soulless white walls. However the designer of the decor is evidently perfectly talented nonetheless. Vegetarian food is low calorie, so need to order all 3 courses if you have a high metabolic rate so it can end up at £30 per head excluding alcohol and service. The service is good, although the staff appear busy, they are very open, friendly and personable. They also seem to have an appreciation for what the place does! If you are onto vegetarian food you will be ecstatically happy . For others it is a genuinely pleasant experience and a good way to experience how it should be done.

Widely regarded as one of the city's most popular vegan restaurants, it delivers food that is satisfying, hearty, and packed with flavour. I ordered the Chick+n Caesar Burger, which featured a plant-based chick+n patty, Caesar mayonnaise, lettuce, and red onion relish. My wife chose the Beetroot Carrot Vada Burger, made with a masala-spiced beetroot and carrot patty, mango lime slaw, green chutney, and tamarind chutney. Both burgers were served with a generous portion of fries and made for a very filling meal. What stood out most was the quality of the flavours and the portion sizes. Every ingredient felt thoughtfully chosen, and the combinations worked exceptionally well together. As someone who regularly eats meat, I was genuinely impressed by the texture and flavour of the Chick+n Caesar Burger. We also ordered two fresh juices: the Cucumber, Celery & Apple and the Pineapple, Apple, Ginger & Turmeric. Both were refreshing and paired perfectly with the meal. Whether you're vegan, vegetarian, or simply looking to try something different, Mildreds is well worth a visit. The menu is creative, the food is delicious, and the overall experience demonstrates just how good plant-based dining can be. It was clean and roomy, and I liked the overall vibe. 4/5 SELECTION: It's all vegetarian (but they have labels for which are vegan, along with some other allergy notifications) and it's like a hot food bar, where you put whatever you want on a plate and then they weigh it, and you pay per 100g. There are 40 different dishes offered daily, including salads, hot dishes, and desserts. They also have drinks and cocktails. 3/5 WHAT I GOT: From what I remember/can see from my picture, I got white rice, mixed greens, bok choy, a grilled veggies mix, a green beans mix, a potatoes and peas mix and some of an artichoke dish. All of the stuff I got was vegan. It was all pretty good and tasted fresh and of good quality -- in fact, it was probably the best buffet/hot food type bar I've ever been to. None of it tasted like it'd been sitting out for a while, and none of it was undercooked or tasted too processed. The only complaint I have is that I wish they refrained from using oil, but it actually could've been much worse, so that's that. 3/5 SERVICE: The employees seemed friendly. I mean, we didn't really need to interact with them much, given the style of eatery, but they seemed nice lol. 4/5

It has to be some of the best Indian food I've had outside of India. The little complimentary chai while you wait in line is such a thoughtful touch and really sets the tone. Even though there was a queue, it moved surprisingly quickly. Once inside, the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. As for the food... every dish we ordered was outstanding. In my opinion, there are 2 main things to know about Dishoom: it's an Indian restaurant that is a chain, with 11 locations worldwide. The food is really good for a chain, bit it doesn't begin to come close to a restaurant that takes care of of its individual customers. Walking in, there's lots of energy. People are having a good time, there's no question. We were seated upstairs where there must have been around 40 tables. All of the staff are walking around in a hurry, cause everything here is in a hurry. The intention is to get you our in less than an hour. They want you in, through, and out. I saw this with multiple tables. Our server Yanko came to our table quite promptly and helped us make selections, both for food and drinks. For the first time in my experience eating in a restaurant, the appetizers arrived minutes before our cocktails. They came so fast that we didn't even think it was our order. And then moments after the drinks arrived, all of the main dishes and sides were placed on the table. With no way to keep anything warm. All of this with 10 minutes of placing the order. I appreciate prompt service, but this takes it to an absurd extreme. Our appetizers included the house Chaat and prawn koliwada. I enjoyed the prawns more but the flavors were facile, not close to what I expect and have enjoyed in excellent Indian restaurants. The main dishes were the Goan monkfish curry and Sali Goan. These were also just OK, absolutely nothing special. The cheese naan was soggy, though the flavor was good. This was an unacceptable texture for a naan. Dessert was Basmati Kheer, flavorful Basmati rice with fruit compote on top. In between and unneeded, was a thin layer of creme brulee. I did enjoy my tea: ginger, lemon and honey and my wife liked her mint tea. I do not know the restaurant scene in Edinburgh, we've been here for 4 days. But this is just not a place I'deven consider returning to. It's really a factory that feeds folks, not a restaurant that cares for its customers. The business model had been optimized to maximize income with lots of throughput. What's been almost completely lost in my opinion, is the heart and soul of the dining experience.
