Their sign that says they sell vegan pizza by the slice.

Earlier post: They say they sell vegan pizza by the slice, but was told just now that they don't on the weekends...sometimes during the week. They said other people have asked for a vegan slice today already. Seems like a missed opportunity. Edit: So, I was passing by and thought I'd pop in and see if they happened to have a vegan slice despite my earlier experience. They were in the process of making a vegan pie because apparently they made one earlier and it sold out. I waited a few minutes. Got some slices and am happy to report they were delicious.

I was reluctant to try this spot out at first because I always chafe at having to pay fancy prices for pizza, but I'm glad I did, because the pizza here is genuinely fantastic. The interior has limited bar seating, but it was pretty empty when we came for dinner on a weeknight. The bar seats themselves are also plush and feel quite upscale. I like the diner-y pizzeria feel of the inside, with tons of what look like family pictures framed around the place. We tried two slices of the Nonna Mena, which is probably the most expensive slice there for the size (nearly $5 for a small rectangle) because it comes with nice, aged cheese. It was tasty, but not so much better than the regular slices (which are cheaper and larger) that I'd opt for that again. In addition, we got two regular slices of pizza and the pepperoni pinwheel, which comes jam-packed with pepperoni and cheese. Overall, I think the best bang for your buck are the regular (rather than specialty) slices. What makes this place special to me is the pizza dough -- they're somehow able to get it perfectly crispy and even a tiny bit fried on the bottom, so the texture is excellent and addictive.

We stopped in recently for a few slices to bring over to the bar we were at. We saw their window display on the way over do the bar and it looked delicious the Roni Giusepp' Giusepp' NY style, and the DOP margherita were all good. Definitely hit the spot.

This pizzeria was on my to do list for pizza and I finally made my way out here on a Sunday afternoon. The pizzeria's interior had a nice and cozy vibe to it. I ordered a Mushroom Shallot slice. The slice was fantastic and the mushroom and shallot complement each other perfectly with the ricotta. Tom and Jason really did well for themselves with this and their staff was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a destination pizzeria and a must visit when in Brooklyn.

Portnoy didn't disappoint.... That pizza was awesome... thin crust, beautiful developed sauce and great tasting cheese.... Not oily. One bite???? Nope more like three slices!!! Hahahha my daughter and I travel from Long Island just to have the pizza bc we were bored and it was worth it!!!!

It's a good slice of pie at a relatively reasonable price. Unfortunately, I got the special slice. The crust is really nice, super thin, crispy but not too crispy. The sauce was very good. The cheese was very good. The meat quality was very good. I did not like the ricotta florets on it. It had squeezed ricotta on it, and I just thought it distracted from the pie. This was just their special pie, so I'd just say don't get something with ricotta on it unless you really enjoy ricotta. I felt like that really dominated the pie. If anything, I would have put hot honey or basil or something on there instead.

Hands down the best from A-Z. We did a mini pizza tour of Brooklyn and this place came out on top in my book. Massive, fresh selection of different pies. You know they're all fresh because they just kept pumping them out. Service is bar none. The woman there as extremely helpful and asked if I wanted any recommendations, which I ALWAYS go with with the house recommends. She recommended the seasonal slice, which was squash, stracciatella, anduille sausage and Mike's hot honey. OMG. That's all I can say. It worked perfectly. It was so good, I has to go back in and I was able to grab the last slice to bring home to my wife. If in the area, don't snooze on this place. Top notch.

Been ordering these pies since Tommy was slinging them out of his apartment kitchen. One of the best slices in Brooklyn, let alone NYC and I'm glad these guys are getting their flowers. What started off as basic pies done extremely well has expanded to seasonal specials and fresh baked bread. Fear not, unlike our dear Icarus, they haven't strayed too close to the sun. My go-to is a plain Giusepp (Brooklyn style), but this time I spiced up my order with garlic knot meatball sliders because why the hell not?? Not sure what more there is to say.

Mmmm my favorite spot to grab a slice. The pepperoni is the best - I love the small little crispy rounds! I also tried the broccoli roll, which is okay but too dry and very broccoli forward. It's best to just stick to the pizza which is so good! The staff is really nice too, one of the slices were kinda small so we got comped another slice to make up for it!

    Chrissy M.

Came here two months ago and the meatball sliders were double the size! $16 for these 4 small sliders? That's crazy. One tiny half of a meatball on each. Very disappointing how drastic a change from my last time I was here. Service was nothing special. And I like their comfy seating.

Great dough. It's perfectly crispy and chewy and really truly a 5/5. I'm giving them a 4 because the flavors were a little bland. It was yummy but not super interesting. Maybe I just need to order a red sauce or spicy one and I'll like it better. Still, a great spot that I would come back to and recommend to others if they're in the park slope area and looking for a slice.

I tried looking up this pizza from Target Richfield for a review, but it sent me to the NYC location, so forgive me if this review is in the wrong thread. Anyway, wow. I've been to New York City and ate at the original Joe's Pizza. What an epic slice of pizza. Now back home in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the great white north of snow that never ends, I finally tried the frozen Di Fara pepperoni pizza from Target no less. Sorry Joe's, but this is on par with your pizza (if it was frozen). Dave Portnoy was right with his high review. This pizza is very good. The thick cut pepperoni, great basil, and the crisp chewy crust was excellent for a frozen pizza. Nice under carriage as well. I cooked the pizza at 480 degrees in an electric pizza oven for 10 minutes, and the result was very good. I added a drizzle of hot honey, and it was spectacular (okay, I also added some fresh picked jalapeños as well). The pizza was hot and melted in the center, and the crust was very crisp, but still had some chew. Wow. This was the best frozen pizza I have had. Bar none. New York, you spoiled me when it came to pizza. Now I can get a taste of New York at home. Great job! I may or may not eat the last 3 pieces currently sitting in the fridge before bed.

He would pull the pans with his bear hand out of the oven and generously drizzle olive oil from a rustic copper container over every pie. He would then meticulously inspect the dough for bubbles. Dom has now passed but his legacy continues. I've always compared the then pie vs now. And like most things,, nothing beats the original. This is still a very good slice. I once rated them as the best in NYC. Unfortunately, its not at the very top but still on the podium. Coming back feels like you are saying hello to an old friend. We ordered a whole pie half plain and half pepperoni, which is only $2.50 more. What I notice right away is the zesty tomato sauce, which Has love. However, I must admit that the crust was a bit too hard for my taste. Yes! It was crispy, but biting through it was somewhat difficult. Fresh mozzarella, a nicely thin crisped crust, sweet tomato sauce, and fresh basil makes this simple pizza taste great. The fried calamari also impressed. It tasted notably fresh--light, clean, and not overly chewy like pre-frozen versions can sometimes be. While I can't say for certain, it had that just-prepared quality that makes a difference. The Caprese salad was a great way to start the meal, with fresh tomatoes, creamy burrata, and a balsamic drizzle was a nice light start. The atmosphere leans old-school Italian, which adds to the charm and character. Service was fine--nothing remarkable, but no major issues either. That said, my overall rating takes a big hit solely for the restaurants ridiculous tipping policy choices rather than the food itself. The automatic 20% gratuity added to the bill was frustrating. The menu does indicate that 18%, will automatically apply, or will be 20% for parties of six or more. We were only three people, so it felt inconsistent and unnecessary. On top of that, the added cost for credit card usage didn't help. I don't mind tipping for good service! In fact, I tip well--but I prefer having the choice and I'm old school so it's the principle of the matter. Being forced into it, takes away from an otherwise enjoyable meal. Bottom line: the food is strong and worth trying, but the billing practices leave a bad taste. If those were adjusted, this could easily be a higher-rated experience.
