They were a hit! Be warned: these are not personal pizzas; this can easily be shared with 2-3 people. But the pizza is the real star of the show here: they handmake it in front of you, put it in the woodfire oven, and serve it to you fresh.

We were pretty excited to see a Neapolitan pizza and pasta restaurant in Moab. The reviews looked…read moresolid, and from what I remembered from our last visit many years ago, there were not many pizza options in town. We ordered the Salsiccia e Funghi, a sausage and mushroom pizza, along with the mussels in white wine sauce appetizer, homemade Italian cream sodas, and one additional limonata soda. The pizza was okay, but not the quality I would expect from a polished Neapolitan-style pizza place, especially at this price point. The mussels appetizer had potential because white wine sauce is exactly the kind of dish we usually enjoy with bread. Before ordering, I specifically asked about the bread because we like having enough to sop up the broth, the way you would expect at a good Italian restaurant. Our waitress said she would bring as much bread as we wanted. There were three of us, and the appetizer came with three pieces of bread. Given the earlier conversation, we later asked for three more pieces. The request seemed to bother her. When she delivered the extra bread, sensing her frustration, we said she could add it to the bill, and she told us she already had. That was frustrating because we had just discussed it before ordering. We were attempting to be more gracious, and she missed the mark with her response. She could have said ok, or thank you, or "no it's ok I told you could have as much bread as you wanted for the mussels" The mussels themselves were also uneven. Several had not opened during cooking, which is generally a sign that they should not be served or eaten. With mussels, the usual food-safety rule is: if they do not open during cooking, do not eat them. The FDA's consumer seafood guidance says clams, mussels, and oysters should open during cooking, and the ones that do not open should be thrown out. That made us question the quality control and preparation of the dish. The cream sodas were mixed. The berry version was delicious, but the mango version missed the mark. It was not sweet at all and tasted like the mango may not have been ripe. A little simple syrup, or ripe mango, would have helped a lot. The unripe mango soda ends up tasting a little like pine sol smells. We were also disappointed because the prices were more in line with what we would expect from a higher-quality meal. For the items noted above, plus one additional limonata soda, the meal came to over $60. I typically tip over 20%, but I took the extra bread charge off the tip, and the tip was still over 17%. Overall, this was not a terrible experience, but it was disappointing compared with what we were hoping for. The food had some good ideas, but several details felt off, and the service created a communication gap that left a bad impression.

There is a drive to get up to the restaurant, and it's alittle tight. If you have a problem with heights, this might be dicey. My daughter and I got prime rib. Both were cooked to our preferred temps, and they came with horseradish and au jus. They also brought sour cream for the baked potato. It's a generous portion, and I was stuffed. I got a side salad and asked for blue cheese dressing. In addition to the blue cheese, I got a lot of chunks of blue cheese. Yummy! My grandkids got spaghetti and cheese pizzas. They enjoyed them and ate good portions (picky eaters). My daughter got creme brulee for dessert and loved it. Our server was very attentive to us, and offered to bring the kids' food out first if it was ready. Our server also had some rocks that glowed under blacklight, and showed it off for the kids. Worth the stop if you are in the area.

From the moment we arrived, everything was wonderful -- the service, the food, and the atmosphere. The entire place was decorated for Halloween, which was so cute and festive! We sat outside on the patio, which has this really cool little alleyway atmosphere. It was such a fun and unique setting for dinner. I had the Thai iced coffee, and it was nice and strong -- perfect! I ordered the beef yellow curry topped with a huge piece of tempura, and it was absolutely delicious. The portions were generous, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. The prices were very reasonable, especially considering the quality and portion sizes. Our service was excellent, and everyone was so friendly and welcoming. We came from Las Vegas and don't know when we'll be back in Moab, but if we're in the area again, Arches Thai will definitely be on our list! Highly recommend giving this place a try -- especially if you're visiting Moab!

We were greeted and seated immediately, and our server brought us a pitcher of water and a couple of glasses. We ordered the Po Tak Soup with Chicken, Green Curry with Chicken, Lychee Green Tea, and a Coconut Juice. The Po Tak Soup had great flavor and the broth was clean. It was very comforting, especially after a day of exploring. Other than the chicken, it came with mushrooms. Wish it had more vegetables, but it was still a great dish. The Green Curry was also flavorful and was packed with vegetables. The vegetables were cooked well. The Lychee Green Tea was way too sweet. We ended up adding some of the water from the pitcher we were given to help make it less sweet. The Coconut Juice was fine but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, giving Arches Thai a 4/5. Service is good, the space is clean and spacious, and we enjoyed both of the entrees. The entree portions are good for the prices. Would recommend to others and would come back to try other entrees, but likely stick with water as our drinks.

Our server, Karla, was great, very laid back, knew the menu and had answers for our quirky questions (okay mine questions, I'm weird and ask industry questions for my own edification). I enjoyed a housemade lasagna and glass of red. The beer and wine list was great, lots of options and nothing ridiculous and over the top. The seating had indoor, and the bar, and outdoor, so you can enjoy the desert breezes and smell. It's right smack in the middle of downtown, so during festivals and rally's it's great for people or vehicle watching. Will definitely be back. Cheers!

I was there for several minutes as several employees walked by and didn't even look at the waiting customers. Kind of strange because there were several empty tables and seats at the sushi bar. Some of the roles were creative and tasty. The prices were high in my opinion, about 50% higher than what I'm use to in Phoenix. I understand this a tourist town, so I kind of expected this. This is probably a place that I will not return to.

After that, our server's entire demeanor changed and it became really uncomfortable really fast. He was visibly irritated, huffing and puffing, being more aggressive with things behind the counter, and just clearly did not want to be around us anymore. As we were leaving, I also overheard comments being made to another employee about our table, which made it even more awkward because it was obvious we were being talked about while we were still standing there. The way the whole interaction changed afterward felt really unnecessary and honestly pretty embarrassing. It was frustrating because the experience itself had been totally fine up until that point, but the ending completely changed how we felt about the place.
