Disappointed the sirloin was inedible. Extremely tough -long wait not worth it. The chix salad was huge but tasteless

For Moab tourists, the cavernous log cabin feel of this restaurant makes for a great setting to take in a family meal - with a large fireplace, local photos and (of course) ubiquitous broken raft oars. The servers are authentic, know the menu well and ensure you feel like a valued guest!! As for food, one theme stood out: Bacon and Range. Our family steered toward the wonderful chicken sandwich (gluten free bread was solid) and the Cobb Salad. The sweep potato fried are topped with a homemade sugary syrup (a bit sweet for my palate). While the food is not Five Star, it surely made for a solid meal in Moab.

We stopped here for dinner. They are dog friendly and have a great patio with heaters to sit outside. Our golden retriever loved it and they brought her out a fresh bowl of water along with our waters. We had the pleasure of being served by Melena. She was fantastic and super helpful! She made great recommendations for beer and food. I had the salmon that came with veges and mashed potatoes. The sauce was sweet and spicy. Cooked well. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. He gave it a 4/5. Sweet potato fries had a syrup drizzle that he said was too sweet and not needed. Hot sauce was great but the bun was a little thick. Overall good food, great service, and clean restaurants.

The Broken Oar has a cozy, woodsy cabin vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a bit warm inside in the summer, but it cooled off as the evening went on. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus; delicious, though the potatoes came out a little cool. My husband enjoyed the burger's char, though the fries were just okay. Our waitress, Melena, was excellent....friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, good food and great service, and I'd likely return.

"Westwater" Burger (close), Miners Cabin burger (far). Apologies for the bad photo.

Had 2 burgers, the "westwater" and "miners cabin" plus like 3 beers. Total came out to near $70, which is a little pricy. But the burgers were cooked to near perfection, not too overdone and not too pink. You get tons of toppings for them as well. Mushrooms on my burger didn't have much to them, no seasonings and maybe even no butter. So burger kinda came off as "dry", as a whole. Sides were good too. Employees are quick and on the ball. Place was kinda like log cabin decor, no loud music but probably gets noisy with a full house.

Food was good with decent portions. We split the pulled pork (delicious!) and each got a side -- only got 4 onion rings. Sweet potato fries were as great as they said they were. Our friends got the beast burger, and they thought they were scrumptious. Little bit of miscommunication regarding being told we could be sat outside, and confusion with my drink. Ambiance is on the right track.

Fun place to eat with great outdoor seating right on Main St…read more Service is good, menu is large and prices are normal for the area. Food was good both times we went. But the "crunchy" chicken sandwich i got the second time was not even close to crunchy.

It is a large restaurant on one side a bar and on the other lots of tables for all sized groups. The bacon burger is what you want to order as it is large and tasty! My table mate loved it with the fries! The beer cheese soup is made in house and I had high expectations. But I would only rate it a 2 out of 5. Pizza was a great deal as it was the daily special for only 12$ with one topping and comes with honey. Pretty neat as I had never heard of dipping the thick crust in honey but it was delicious. The place is pretty cool vibe and you can tell they have a lot of regulars! Our waitress spent a ton of time talking to people that have turned into friends that frequently visit and sadly ignored our table most of the evening. It felt like all we did was wait. Drinks were served, then we waited 20 minutes for the waitress to return to take our order. Our food delivered to the table super fast which was unexpected. Then we enjoyed our meal and waited another 20+ minutes for the check. It was ridiculously slow and the restaurant was not crowded. So if you have a lot of time and don't mind chilling for over an hour and a half for a meal, this is the spot!

This restaurant is known for their Eggs Benedict, Swedish Pancakes and their thick bacon. We…read moreordered 2 of these items and agreed with the recommendations. The Eggs Benedict are really so delicious. They use a non-traditional hollandaise sauce which, amazingly amped up the flavor of the eggs! And the eggs were perfectly made so that the whites were thoroughly cooked and the yolk was runny. Odd, but this is a difficult thing to get in a restaurant. The meal was served with delicious home fries where the potatoes were moist and flavored. We also ordered a side of their thick bacon, which had a bit of a different flavor - very nice. The bacon was perfectly cooked. We took a chance on the egg scramble, which had lots of promise with the many ingredients listed, but the eggs were overcooked and dry, so the other ingredients couldn't compensate. They served the eggs with a very nice bread for their toast. We almost didn't come here as we only saw the side of the building, which was a very small house looking structure. But as you continue down the street, you can see that they have expanded their restaurant to include the dining area: an "inside" area and a patio area. All of this new structure is glass or plastic windows, they have heating and cooling to accommodate for the time of day and they did a great job of making a pleasant eatery. Everyone we met at the restaurant was pleasant and kind. It was such an enjoyable time. We have a few more days in Moab, so we will be back.

Got seated but then had to wait awhile before we got asked if we wanted anything. Ordered 2 cups of 5 buck coffee. It was decent. Then we ordered a stack of pancakes (4). It was 15 bucks for very basic pancakes. Pricey. Ordered side of bacon (3) strips for 8 bucks. This was some of the best bacon I've ever had. Very very good. Ordered a omelette. Omelette was small but good. Toast was super cold. Potato's were cold and had very good flavors. Spicy. Perfect however cold. Overall this is not a typical greasy spoon restaurant.
