Great American restaurant in a spacious setting with large portions. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan ($18.79), which came with a typical chicken parm in addition to a bunch of cheesy linguine and garlic bread on the side. I can't imagine how someone could eat all that in one sitting, but it was definitely great value for the price. The chicken parm was tasty, although the linguine was just average in quality. The restaurant itself is very large with lots of seating and a parking lot in front. Our waitress was super friendly and attentive. The service speed was also fairly quick. The vibes are very casual/chill inside. Overall, Dewey's is a very solid choice for American food in Moab, especially if you are hungry for a large portion. read more

Went to Moab for Jeep week with the boys. Amazing little town. This place looked great. Clean to the eye, walked in and got sat no problem during dinner rush. Menu had some great options. Ordered a drink and man was it tasty. We're all on board. Appetizers came out. Checked all the boxes. Super tasty. I ended up ordering the meatloaf as it was noted to be a menu favorite. Wasn't the most appealing plate when it arrived but I had nothing to eat all day and was hungry so it did its job. Went home to rest up for the next day only to wake up at 2am, then 3am, then 4am full bore evacuation, fire hosing our air bnb bathroom. For the next 24hrs me and the porcelain became great friends Somebody needs to go into this chef's walk in and peep meat before someone else gets it. If you're a gambling man and have 24hrs to spare on a vacation then go for it. Otherwise I'd keep stepping. read more

We came to Dewey's upon arriving in Moab for our trip. The service was great. I do wish the cocktails were a bit stronger. My husband and I both ordered a Mule (2 different kinds). My friend got a Margarita which seemed to be a little stronger than our drinks. My French Dip was good, definitely on the saltier side like sandwiches with au jous usually are. I was totally not expecting Dewey's to be this good! My boyfriend and I popped in after a long day of hiking which I'm sure is common for most people given the proximity to the two national parks and the state park just outside of town. The restaurant is really large, spacious, and felt very bright. We were greeted quickly upon walking in and informed that the bar was self-seating and to help ourselves. Our server was incredibly friendly and everything we ordered came out pretty quick. Prices were more than reasonable, especially considering how much of their business I'm sure is from tourists. I had the shrimp alfredo which was really delicious, al dente, and a generous portion with two slices of garlic bread that were tasty. My shrimp was also not overcooked. My boyfriend had a chicken sandwich and onion rings both of which he raved about. Our cocktails were also pretty good and super affordable. I wouldn't hesitate to stop back here next time I'm in Moab. read more

After checking out the menu we decided to come here for dinner. Decided to sit in the bar area. Was debating between the poblano burger and the pecan crusted trout. Burger more popular but trout more dinner portion we were told. I chose the trout. Was a little apprehensive as wasn't sure it would be good. But it was actually cooked well. Fish moist on the inside and crunchy outside. I chose to have the house made Dijon mustard cream sauce on the side and that made the difference to me. I don't like a lot of sauce on my food so it helped me be able to regulate it. The baked potato didn't come with anything so I asked the hostess for some butter. The veggies were nice and light. His shrimp tacos had too much red cabbage and the rice was meh. Dry and not much taste to it. But it wasn't bad. Restroom was clean but small stall. Hard to maneuver in it. Server was nice. Great food, great service! Local spot. Came here for dinner one night and had a very nice experience. We were trying to avoid all the tourist traps in town and saw this one is more of a local spot. We got lucky and came on a Thursday and it was $9 burgers Thursdays, so we got burgers with soup and onion rings. The food was good portion size and tasted fresh. We recently visited Dewey's restaurant for a quick bite to eat just before the dinner rush arrived. We were greeted with a friendly smile and quickly seated by the hostess as soon as we entered. Service was pretty prompt as we ordered drinks and food fairly quickly. We just needed a small bite so we ordered a few items to share: Cajun dusted fries, pistachio chicken and blackened blue burger. The portions were generously sized so we're glad we planned to share. Unfortunately, some of our photos didn't come out so we only have a burger photo to share. Our food was tasty and hot which we also appreciated. The dining room wasn't fancy but it was warm and welcoming which was exactly what we needed that night. We sat in the bar and had an excellent waiter (Blaine). He was attentive, professional and very polite. They were slammed to say the least. He kept us aware of what was going on plus the drinks came out quickly, with a little wait. We ordered the Poblano burger with Cajun fries. It meat was super tasty ( good quality) the poblano was perfect and set the burger off. Also ordered the Salmon salad- it was good. The dressing was yummy. They were to accommodate a group of 12 within a few moments, and even better, once we got our orders they were all correct! Amazing service, tasty food and a good selection of local breweries drinks. Pretty sure everything is frozen and then defrosted and cooked. Veggies were uneven, some hot/some cold, like when you cook frozen veggies. I had about 2 bites of the meatloaf. Some warm, some cold. My family and I traveled across the entire portion of southern Utah exploring the Mighty 5, and along the way eating at many restaurants. Deweys in Moab was the only place along the way that I will give a negative review. I am the type of reviewer who always finds something good to point out even if the overall experience was disappointing. However, I will not be able to do that for Deweys. First, the service was slow and we were nearly the only ones in the restaurant. The waiter, Nick who we later learned was the owner's son had to be asked for everything and even "hunted down" for these requests. When the food finally arrived it was cold. The 4 of us all ordered something different and 3 out of the 4 entrees were average at best and the 4th one was uneatable. In Utah cell service is hit or miss and so it took me nearly 30 minutes after we left to get in touch with the restaurant to let them know that I had left my 350.00 dollar sunglasses on the table. I was told someone would look and be in touch with me. Noone ever called me back so the next day we went back to the restaurant. Nick told me that he remembered us and would ask the busser when he came in because he does NOT bus his own tables. When we asked when the busser would be in he said that he wasn't coming into work today so I asked him to ask his manager to give the busser a call. The manager who was then brought up to speed on everything informs us that the busser didn't work the day we were there and that Nick had bussed the table. OK so at this point I just calmy looked at Nick and said you know I dont care about the why I just would love to have my glasses back and he called me F@#$ing annoying pulled out a wad of cash from his pocket and said I dont need your glasses and then told me that we needed to leave. I called the police hoping that it would scare him enough to just give me my glasses back. Shortly before an officer arrived the owner arrived, this is when I found out who the waiter was and when it became clear as to why manager was allowing him to be so verbally abusive to me. The owner walked right by me not speaking. He was totally agitated by me like his son and very put off that I demanded for the officer to view the security camera footage which just as luck would have it was ata view that ended where our table began. read more

The House made Meatloaf is FANTASTIC. It is covered with a brown gravy and blue cheese crumbles. I had it with the mixed vegetables and mashed potatoes. The vegetables were fresh, grilled, and crisp. I will be back to try other house specialty items. read more
