Surprisingly affordable and they have a great selection of everything you might need--produce, pantry, cooking supplies etc. The deli section is especially wonderful. Lots of different types of sandwiches and salads that you can pick up for a hike. They even have kombucha on tap! If I lived here, I would definitely shop here and have fun doing it. read more

We wanted to get some food to go. I was concerned the butter chicken in all those spices maybe too much heat for me so I asked the gentleman in the kitchen and he offered us a sample. Needless to say that's what I got and it was delicious and packed full of flavors. That man was very helpful and kind. I also bought a honeycrip apple for later and it was juicy and refreshing. We came back the next day and I got their freshly made chicken salad and it too was great. Great place for on the go eats and a great grocery store. read more

We happened to park by Moonflower Co-op and popped in to get snacks and sandwiches for the next day. For a small store, they had a good selection of snacks including Lesser Evil Himalayan salt popcorn which I had never had....and was so delicious. They had a lot of different premade foods, including sandwiches (I had the chipotle chicken which was tasty and had a bit more kick than I was expecting), which make it a perfect spot to stock up for picnics or hiking. read more

The family wanted a light dinner after hiking all day. We also needed a break from fast foods and other restaurant meals. This healthy grocery was located next to our hotel and it fitted our need. If you're ever in Moab, you definitely need to stop at this co-op. The prices reflect the quality of the food and other products within the store, but I'd argue it's worth it. I got a delicious Italian turkey sub and a yerba mate, but I could've spent hours in the skin care and supplement aisles. The cashier at the front was super friendly and seemed to care about the customer experience and our overall trip. He even recommended a couple hikes to hit on our way out of town. I gave Moonflower a 4/5, only because of the lack of fresh bakery items. We ended up finding a cafe across the street to satisfy that desire, but it would have been nice to get everything we wanted at one stop. read more

I love a co-op although this seems more like a health food store. Name brands and factory packaging a plenty. Still it had a good selection of organic veg and nice bulk item section. Great place in Moab for health food items. It has bulk nuts, dried fruits, fresh produce and quality meats along with hot food items to take on a hike. For a small store it has a huge variety of items. It was right next to our hotel so we came by often to stock up on healthy options. The cashiers were friendly and reminded me that they don't have bags but you can repurpose one of their boxes to carry your groceries if needed. They also had a bin out front where people placed items they no longer needed that are free for people to pick through which is a great idea. read more

Wonderful experience here. I stopped in to find out if Moab had anywhere to drop off compostables. They pointed us to the Youth Garden Project. This is, I think, the first and only organic market in Moab, maybe in all of Utah. It is a small store with TONS of product. And they have a daily lunch menu, with vegan and not, that you can see and order online. Lots of pre-made lunch items too if you are hitting any of the hundred of trails in the area. read more

We recently stopped here for a resupply on our road trip and just LOVED this store. This grocery spot catered to specialty diets like gluten-free, organic, vegan/vegetarian. The staff was easygoing and everything was Covid-minded and hygienic - the pastries were individually wrapped, masks encouraged and everything was clean - which overall made for a pleasant shopping experience. The selection here is amazing. Lots of hard to find items even for us in Denver, and the prices are pretty good too by comparison. Things like gochujang, tinned sardines, yellow curry bouillon (my love) - just an equally awesome selection for home use or backpacking and camping. We definitely took mental notes to stop by again in the summer. Definitely don't dismiss the prepared foods. I got a blondie for a road trip snack that had pistachios, cranberries and cardamom - it was perfect. And some locally made kombucha by the ounce too - the Lavender Grapefruit was particularly delicious. read more

Hopped in for a few snacks before I left Moab, I was so bummed I hadn't been in earlier on our trip. Their organic, fresh snacks are lovely. I've never had such fresh, delicious dried mango. They also have a wide variety of vegan jerky, which is always fun. The deli looked delicious! I was also in awe of all their teas and natural bath products. Very cool store. read more

Great store with a good hot bar and snacks. Got sweet potato enchiladas from the hot bar, a brownie, and cheese and garlic, sesame sticks for snacking. If you want hot bar, you need to get there early. Their hot dishes and soups sell out! They even have a "free"box at the front door for the public to give or take unwanted items (e.g. clothes, household stuff etc) . Very community oriented. read more

Well stocked store with excellent high quality grocery items. If you're in search of organic, allergy friendly, speciality things, Moonflower is the place to shop. I bought some tasty treats there a couple of days ago and have been enjoying them on my travels. The chia pudding is fantastic, sweetened with organic cherries and strawberries, and made with coconut milk. The choc pb vegan mousse (tofu base) was also stellar, and protein packed. Healthy meal stand-ins that taste like dessert! I also picked up some chicken from the deli and made a sandwich using that and a nub of fresh ciabatta. So good! They have prepared salads and sandwiches ready to go, as well as a small hot bar. I saw tamales and soups there the other day. A la carte ice cream is also sold, and lots of vegan/nondairy options. read more

What an amazing natural food store. After specializing in exercise science and nutrition I had come to find out just how many major manufactures put chemicals and preservatives in our foods. These chemicals and preservatives cause a wide array of health problems like cancer, bone disease, GI distress, endocrine disruption etc. Let me say, if I had the funding to open a moonflower cooperative in every town, I would in an instant. Not only do they provide a wide array of unprocessed, whole food ingredient options, but they also support local growers. The bakery in the back offers freshly made salads, breads and baked goods. The fresh herb and tea area could absolutely destroy 1/2 of the pharmaceutical industry and they have kombucha on tap from a local brewer just a few blocks away. Great service, great sustainable options and a great place to stop on your trip in Moab. read more

While we were in Moab. We were on a canyoneering trip and was bought sandwiches from moonflower. The sandwich was delicious that we decided to visit this place and grab a couple of sandwiches. Not a lot of place you can get a sandwich for 7 bucks in Moab. The service was awesome, the store had a very welcoming feel to it. If you're in the area, give this place a try. read more

This is the perfect stop before your hike. They've got sandwiches, soups, pastries, and all the snacks you could need. While it has the standard fruits and vegetables of other grocery stores, you can't beat the collection of flours, drinks, bars, etc. You can also refill your containers if you're cutting down on plastic waste. read more

What a breath of fresh air among a town that just didn't feel like it had good vibes. The first thing my friend and I see upon walking in: two massive fridges full of tons and tons of kombucha. Automatic five stars for me. They had your usual national brands but tons of locally made booch from surrounding areas. I was in booch heaven. They have a wide variety of health-conscious products such as supplements, oils, natural medicines, and more. Along with that, they have tons of food for those health-conscious individuals. I wish I lived here so I could support this amazing business every day. In addition to that, one of the employees was giving out free samples of a delicious salad, vegan salad, and chocolate. So thankful to have had this place to go to for groceries, sandwiches and snacks while in Moab for the week. A very cute little co-op with lots of natural groceries, products and fresh produce along with a prepared food and bakery section (our favorite). I got the tofurkey and cheese sandwich here for lunch twice during our stay and the husband also got some non-vegan sandwiches. Perfect convenient lunch for on the go between adventures. I also got the vegan banana chocolate chip muffin and the vegan muffin (which had peaches and raspberries), both of which I thoroughly enjoyed. This wonderful CoOp market and deli looks inviting to enter from the outside and is even more special once in the door for the super friendly helpful staff, sparkling space and great selection. Conveniently located in downtown Moab, about a block off the main drag; the side parallels the lot for the Homewood Suites. Given we eat a largely natural foods diet and were staying at Homewood, Moonflower was our "go to" for good eats like fresh organic fruit (some local), beverages, bin items from a nice selection and delicious prepared foods from their "scratch kitchen" deli. Highly recommended! THE DELI... is particularly convenient for take out and it also has a bright, cozy seating area inside with a handful of tables with chairs and local art on the walls. From the CoOp's web site they say this about the deli section: "Eat healthy on the go...Salads, sandwiches, soups, and a variety of side salads make for great prepared meals...Our deli staff is highly aware of specialized diets.  We do our best to accommodate every need. " The salads of all kinds were fantabulously fresh (mixed green or quinoa with peanut sauce or pasta salads as examples). They also had soups, from vegan options like carrot ginger to omnivore friendly chicken Thai, and dishes like vegan tamales or vegetarian mac n cheese in hot containers and multiple varieties of house made hummus. They had grab and go sandwiches made with vegan, vegetarian or ominivore fillings and options on gluten free bread as well as with gluten bread. Prices were really reasonable, from roughly $3.50 to $8.00 per item. OTHER THINGS... a good sized selection for a store of this size of really fresh produce and bulk items too plus ranch raised, natural animal proteins, like local lamb, in a freezer section. Also, a really impressive assortment of packaged goods, health products like supplements, and home supplies too or if you need some for the travel cooler. IF I COULD WAVE A MAGIC WAND... it would be for them to have fresh baked bread to take along. They did have brown and serve baguettes near the deli, but while the suite we stayed in had a nice kitchenette, it lacked an oven. I imagine if they baked up some of those baguettes they'd find visitors might buy them for take along.. THIS N THAT: 1) PARKING; Angled on street parking in the front. 2) ACCESSIBILITY: Level in the door from sidewalk, all on one floor, ample aisle space, seating in deli is standard height, accessible loo. City of Moab didn't have accessible parking in front but there are a couple of spots in the adjacent Homewood Suites lot. read more

i like the co-op business model so when I saw there was a co-op in Moab, I was thrilled to check it out. It's a health food store and I found items that I haven't had before and I love trying new things so the thrill was stacking. AND THEN! They have prepared/packaged foods or locally made bakery items in the back.. (with plenty of them being vegan). I was exploding with joy and to even taste what I had bought and liked it? Great joy. Love their Mac Salad.. came back another day and it was discounted (i guess when they're on the last day(s?) they'll discount to move the product..idk).. Fan of that mac salad though.. Earl Grey Scone.. Rice Krispie Treat.. I loved it. I'll return every time i'm in Moab. read more

Excellent selection of diverse products. Lots of good cheeses, salads, pasta, fruit, and vegetables. Good selection of to-go items. Indian foods are available, many in sealed bags and in cans, if I recall correctly. Wow! Moon Flower has vegan chocolate mousse. And ... It's delicious! I bought buckwheat yakisoba noodles to make the dish at home. I understand that the most authentic yakisoba is made with buckwheat noodles. I live about two hours driving distance from Moab. It's worth the drive to shop at Moon Flower. read more

I was visiting three national parks that week in Utah. Utah is beautiful! I saw the beehive shaped route signs all over and wondered to myself. I asked a Utah resident and was told Utah is a bee state and making honey is popular. So I had to get local honey and this is where I ended up. Nice local food store. This place is amazing! Better than any coop in Seattle or the SF Bay Area (WAY better than Whole Foods). They have amazing vegan deli selection (get the kale salads) and their vegan baked goods are delicious (the scones and apple cinnamon bread ). I'll be dreaming of this place from home. read more
