The good: staff was friendly, tea and hummus were actually great, the pita was soft and pillowy, music was nice The bad: the place didn't seem that clean (a chair was sticky, inside smelled musty and just seemed outdated), the falafel and calamari tasted like they had been fried in old oil, the chicken shish kebab was really low quality (like it had been frozen and reheated or something, the cut wasn't the greatest and the taste was off), the chicken shawarma sandwich was very oily and tough, the milkshake tasted artificial You do get a lot of food here, but it is almost entirely quantity not quality nor freshness...especially for the price they charge, wouldn't recommend read more

Food was good, but pricey for what you receive. There are not a lot of options for delivery in this area so I know you can jack up the prices...doesn't mean you have to..especially since most of the service workers in that area can't afford to live there. Like the quality of everything (including basic hotels) has gone down since the Jeep Peep boom... Just know they are not the only people who visit Moab. Keep living and visiting there affordable to help your community- if you know what that means. read more

Great spot for good food in Moab. We came on the recommendation from a friend and we weren't disappointed. Cute decorations with a casual atmosphere. We got the Gyro Platter and the Chicken Shwarma Platter. The portions were big! We took home leftovers. The gyro meat was very tender and flavorful. I loved stacking meat, feta, and Greek salad on my pita. The chicken breast shwarma was also really good. Our service was quick and the staff we encountered were helpful and pleasant. read more

Friendly staff, our party of 4 were seated right away. I split tzatziki dip with veggies and a chicken shawarma wrap with my mother, others in our party each ordered the chicken shawarma platter which included a side salad, fries, 2 pitas and garlic dipping sauce. The portion sizes of all our food were big; the wrap was plenty to split with another individual and the shawarma platter left 2 adult males full. read more

Coming back to Moab, I was super excited to eat at Sultan again. Did not disappoint! I got a pesto penne dish with chicken shawarma that was delicious. The manakish is still fantastic. Grape leaves got an enthusiastic thumbs up from the group, the olives and pickles appetizer was tasty, and everyone loved their respective dishes. Happy to report the chairs and tables have been changed, I found them much more comfortable. The tiles they used for the ceiling look really neat, too. Service was quick and the folks working there were all super friendly. Will definitely be back! read more

Came on a weekday night and was seated immediately. Honestly I was impressed by the quantity but also the quality. We shared the "two appetizers" order for the table, and they served it on multiple plates with three bowls of pita--I even double checked with the staff that it was just one order because of how much it was. The hummus was so good, baba ganoush was also good but the hummus definitely stood out as a favorite in our group. I got the gyro platter--it was huge. And the gyro was freshly hot and tender, not dry at all. It was definitely my favorite. Everyone in my group enjoyed their dishes--the sultan platter, lamb shawarma, and salmon artichoke. Ended up sharing dessert--the basbousa cake was lightly sweet, faint coconut taste with pistachio bits, and the huckleberry ice cream reminded me of blue raspberry flavor--maybe a little too sweet for me but still good. We had to do three carry out boxes for all of the leftovers. Staff were friendly and attentive. Parking readily available in the lot out front. Decent amount of seating in a casual atmosphere. Overall, a good stop in quantity and quality if you're in the area and craving Mediterranean. read more

It is Christmas day and Sultan was open! We were so grateful for that, after a whole morning of hiking. The place is very nicely decorated, not big but the tables aren't crowded. Service was fantastic! And the food totally hit the spot. We ordered two appetizers: olives and pickles, and traditional za'tar. We enjoyed both of them very much. For entrees I had the stuffed eggplant and my husband had the lamb chops. The lamb chops were absolutely delicious and my stuffed eggplant was really tasty. We even ordered dessert. The baklava is homemade and is served with vanilla ice cream a looots of crushed pistachios. We were hungry and the food was really good! We will definitely come back when we visit Moab again. read more

Would absolutely recommend to a friend if they were visiting Cedar City! Service was quick and the portion sizes were generous. What we ordered: Lamb burger (18) - grilled lamb patty, cumin ketchup & pesto, topped with roasted tomatoes and served with seasoned fries. Gyro (17) - beef, hummus, romaine, tomatoes, onions, feta, and tzatziki served with seasoned fries. read more

One of the few diverse and halal restaurants in Moab. The food is a bit overpriced and ok at best, but then again this town is in a pretty remote area. Don't get the calamari. It's overfried and the breading is too heavy (same type that is used for fish sticks). Not good. I had the sultan kebab which comes with two skewers, rice, and salad. It was ok, but not great compared to what I'm used to having in NY. We asked if we can order kababs individually but they are overpriced ($12 for a single chicken kebab). read more

I just got done having a flavor bomb courtesy of Sultan Mediterranean. I had the creamy hummus appetizer and the Mediterranean ribeye. The spice that they marinate the steak is amazing. I had been deprived of Asian food for 24 hrs. Needed something quick and this was the closest we found. The lunch special came with either fries or rice. I picked the rice, and subbed the tzatziki sauce with garlic mayo. The mayo was more lemony than expected. Rice was flavorless. Gyro meat was 10/10, veggies were fresh and crispy. I would come back here again! read more

We had a very nice time at Sultan Mediterranean this evening. Our appetizers were delicious - hummus and babaganoush, and the pita bread triangles were fresh and warm. The roasted artichoke salad was amazing! The stuffed eggplant was nice - but the ground beef was very oily and the oil seeped into the eggplant, leaving a greasy texture. The Mediterranean bowl had parts that we liked and parts that were less successful. The service was excellent. The interior was spacious and clean. read more

We were visiting from out of State. Almost 5 hours in the car from Park City, having nothing but trail mix or fast food. We needed actual sustenance, like a salad. We looked for restaurants that would deliver to the Hoodoo Moab, and found this place. Everyone in the family was thrilled. Exactly what we needed. The spicy cauliflower was a highlight for sure, and the asparagus salad with grilled chicken was incredible. Don't let "grilled chicken" fool you either. It was well seasoned, more like chicken shawarma than grilled chicken. It showed up in 20 minutes, hot and delicious. Absolutely worth every penny and exactly what we needed after a very early morning hike and a long day in the car. read more

We were super impressed with the great meal we shared at Sultan. We went for light bites and had the baba ghanoush, Stuffed grape leaves and hummus fattah with chicken shawarma and pita. All were delicious. The baba ghanoush was smoky and fantastic! The hummus was silky and shawarma grilled to perfection. The grape leaves were a little denser than my preference, but had good flavor. Huckleberry ice cream was one we had to try and it was gooey, jammy and tasty. The service was excellent and friendly! We really felt taken care of. Awesome place to grab dinner. We ate the baba ghanoush before I could take a photo! :) read more

This place is so good! If you like Mediterranean, you must go here. Awesome dishes & great staff!

We stayed in Moab for a few days and drove by seeing a large amount of cars consistently every night, so decided to try them out. And were they tasty! We ordered their gyro platter, side of grilled chicken, and hummus appetizers. The food was very tasty and flavorful, from the soft pita bread to the gyro meat, we were satisfied with our meals. Ambiance is nice and busy, parking can be somewhat tough so we parked in the back. Service was basic, but the food made up for it & came out quick. Recommend ordering a side of their homemade hot sauce. read more

The restaurant is on the north end of town. It's nothing special in terms of the ambience and decor, a bit dated and uninspired. They make up for it with the food. The best humus and pita I've had in a long time. Same with the grape leaves. The lamb kebobs were perfect. The Tucson shrimp was a bit of a miss, didn't really care for the sauce. Service was friendly and quick. The prices were reasonable. read more

During our recent, "remote work week" we ate at several local restaurants that offer our favorite foods. Sultan is my hands-down favorite this trip. The chicken shawarma platter and the gyro platter were standouts and so much good, fresh food. We've eaten here on other trips and this restaurant has definitely improved with time. Fast and friendly service, updated restaurant decor and large portions of fresh food, made to order make this a win. This town crushes local restaurants at dinner time and if you aren't staffed or don't have your food game down, it' can seem paralyzing as a customer. We listened to others at tables near us and a common theme was one of satisfaction!! The ice cream was a bit of a miss but the core menu delivers. read more

Wanted to try this place since the reviews were good and we love Mediterranean food. However, this place was a HUGE let down. We got the gyro sandwich and lamb platter. I placed a pick up order via phone. The gyro sandwich was the worst item in the order. The lamb meat tasted terrible, and I'm not exaggerating. We took a bite each of the meat and said we couldn't eat it anymore. It was not great quality meat and the pieces of meat seemed old and not seasoned well. We ended up just eating the fries and eating part of the pita bread it came with. The lamb platter was pretty decent! Didn't come with enough tzatziki sauce so it was a bit dry to eat with the rice. The lamb gyro tasted good. Fries were meh, not seasoned well at all, they just threw a bunch of sumac on top of it. Will not be back here and I hope they check their lamb meat quality and improve. Seriously cannot get over how bad that meat was. read more

We are so glad we found this place while we were in town visiting Arches National Park. We love Mediterranean food and this place has so many delicious sounding options. We started with the calamari for an appetizer. It was very tender and yummy. I ordered one of their newer creamy dishes--alpino chicken. The chicken was on top of a creamy, cheesy base with some triangles of bread around the outer edge of the plate. My husband loved his generous gyro platter, once again it had great flavors. The service was friendly, attentive, and top-notch. We sat out on the patio, as it was a lovely evening. Our entire experience was fantastic. If we're ever in Moab again, we will eat here. read more

I ordered the Mediterranean bowl with lamb shawarma. The lamb was tasty. A few of the slices had fat and were chewy. The beets were diced and delicious along with the quinoa. I enjoyed the hummus with the pita slices and the falafel was deep fried. It also had fresh slices of avocado. Instead of the house salad I got grilled vegetables that contained carrots, zucchini, squash and broccoli. The vegetables were cooked el dente in a butter sauce and they were delicious. We were greeted by a friendly host and we chose a table on their patio. The host was also our waiter and we received excellent service. They have parking right in front of the restaurant. Very enjoyable meal! The restaurant has a fun and friendly vibe. read more
