This might be a hot take but I like the chicken here more than the donuts! Don't get me wrong, I like the donuts too, but I didn't think they were that special. They come in lots of fun flavor. The crumb in the cake donut needs a little moisture, though the yeast donut texture is nice and sponge-y. The chicken on the other hand is hella good. I think they fry to order so it was piping hot when it came out. It's got lots of crispy, craggley bits. It's been seasoned on the inside (chicken) and the outside (batter) so there's tons of flavor. We got the plate which comes with either waffle fries or coleslaw. If you're sharing get one of each for some variety, but if you have to choose, definitely the waffle fries. I love Doughbird and make a point to go when in Moab. New this trip: the sandwich comes on a doughnut instead of a bun, which I'm not enthusiastic about. But it's still excellent for bfast and lunch. Not a lot of standing room for ordering and waiting, but small inconvenience for the style and experience. read more

This is a must visit when coming to Moab. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. We love coming and grabbing donuts or swinging by for their signature chicken and donut sandwich. There is nowhere to eat inside but there are some picnic tables set up next to the building. read more

I saw this storefront one of my first weekends in Moab and knew I had to come back. It didn't happen until a month later, right when we were about to leave back to California. I saw on Instagram that they were closing for the winter season on the day I visited. The business owner herself was there. I think it's awesome they combined two of the best food items into one business. I bought 2 donuts but wish I could have afforded more. The fruity pebbles one was my #1, followed by #2 the glazed one, and the third one I think was a pumpkin caramel one my friend got. An adorable doughnut shop that also sells chicken sandwiches and coffee. Service was great, quick and friendly. Food was just ok. I think it's pretty overhyped. We got the medium Nashville fried chicken sandwich but it wasn't spicy at all. I recommend getting it hot if you like it spicy since the medium was not spicy at all. I got extra hot sauce on the side which was just a lot of oil and not a lot of sauce. The waffle fries that came with the sandwich were tasty but nothing out of the normal range of waffle fries. We also got 2 doughnuts - the churro one and Reese's. Both looked better than they tasted. They don't even taste that good and are just below average tasting doughnuts but the presentation makes it look like really good doughnuts. Stopped by here for breakfast about a month ago while visiting Moab. We had heard wonderful things about their donuts, and Doughbird definitely lived up to the hype! Their donuts are incredible - so many different creative donuts combinations to choose from. Their Oreo Cheesecake was our big favorite, but of our dozen, not a single one was bad (which is pretty impressive). They are definitely on the sweeter, richer side - so we had a lot of donuts to save for later. We really wanted to try their chicken sandwich, but we unfortunately arrived too early as they only start serving them at 11am. So if you want one, make sure to plan your visit accordingly! Came in on our last day in Moab. You walk in and the donut counter is to the right. No tables or any place to sit inside. The woman behind the counter started off all cheery at first, asking "What's looking good!" when it was our turn. We ordered 5 different donuts: Boston cream pie, vanilla old fashioned, vanilla glazed, salted caramel crodough, and maple glazed. We asked if we could have separated bags for each donut, and her smile quickly disappeared and was replaced with a side eye. -1 point. We get to the register to be rung up, and the cashier guy gives out this big yawn, mouth open and exhaling right over our open bags of donuts. -1 point. We take our breakfast donuts away to eat. The Boston cream pie donut was the first one we tried. We're from out of town so not sure if this is a local preference, but the Boston cream pie was salty! -1 point. The other donuts unfortunately weren't much better. The vanilla old fashioned was overly dense, even for a cake donut. The salted caramel cronut was chewy, not flaky. -1 point. Who would have thought to put fried chicken between unsweetened doughnuts. Apparently these guys did and now I wish that every fried chicken restaurant did it. The chicken was great and very crunchy. The employees were so friendly, they got the food out quick, and offered free samples of a very delicious churro. The building itself was quaint and had great vibes. Disappointed. I saw the reviews of Doughbird and had to try.. I arrived at 11:30 for a doughnut & coffee. I had to ask for cream as it was behind the counter. Ate outside with the birds. Churro crounut with chocolate drizzle. Good crunch and well sugared although the reviews and signage promised butter all I tasted was oil and probably seed oil. The coffee was rich/fine. What do you do before heading to Arches National Park all day? You get doughnuts, of course! We saw DoughBird the previous night, so we knew where we were heading in the morning before our timed entry was over. When you walk in, seeing a full display case is heaven. I look for anything chocolate, and they gave us some ideas of other popular items. The pleasant person behind the counter asked us the hardest question of the day...how many doughnuts did we want? The answer would result in a box vs. paper bag, so of course, we asked how many were needed for a box (6, BTW). We ordered 7. We had to be quick to make wait in the queue for Arches, so we paid, got our stuff, and headed back to the vehicle. The box didn't last more than a few seconds before it was opened and the doughnuts sampled. Yum! For those long hikes in the park, you need energy. DoughBird provided that energy. read more

We arrived at the doughnut shop when it opened and the counters were filled with delicious looking doughnuts! The friendly counter servers were eager to take our doughnut order and were helpful describing them. There were so many creative flavors and they all looked beautiful! We went in for just a couple but ended up leaving with a box of seven. The blueberry filled powdered doughnut was my favorite. It was loaded with a delicious blueberry compote filling. Solid donuts and fried chicken, waffle fries with fry sauce. The flavors were sometimes off (maple was too salty, frosting sometimes too sweet) and not super inventive or special, but is all around very good if you want a donut. Don't order the chicken too early online or they might make it super early and it'll get soggy (what happened to us) but I'd like to imagine if we ate the chicken fresh it would have been superb. Well seasoned for sure. It's not likely going to be the best donut or fried chicken you've ever had but it'll be up there as say, top five, at least for me.
