Disappointed the sirloin was inedible. Extremely tough -long wait not worth it. The chix salad was huge but tasteless

For Moab tourists, the cavernous log cabin feel of this restaurant makes for a great setting to take in a family meal - with a large fireplace, local photos and (of course) ubiquitous broken raft oars. The servers are authentic, know the menu well and ensure you feel like a valued guest!! As for food, one theme stood out: Bacon and Range. Our family steered toward the wonderful chicken sandwich (gluten free bread was solid) and the Cobb Salad. The sweep potato fried are topped with a homemade sugary syrup (a bit sweet for my palate). While the food is not Five Star, it surely made for a solid meal in Moab.

We stopped here for dinner. They are dog friendly and have a great patio with heaters to sit outside. Our golden retriever loved it and they brought her out a fresh bowl of water along with our waters. We had the pleasure of being served by Melena. She was fantastic and super helpful! She made great recommendations for beer and food. I had the salmon that came with veges and mashed potatoes. The sauce was sweet and spicy. Cooked well. My husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich with sweet potato fries. He gave it a 4/5. Sweet potato fries had a syrup drizzle that he said was too sweet and not needed. Hot sauce was great but the bun was a little thick. Overall good food, great service, and clean restaurants.

The Broken Oar has a cozy, woodsy cabin vibe with indoor and outdoor seating. It was a bit warm inside in the summer, but it cooled off as the evening went on. I had the pork chop with mashed potatoes and asparagus; delicious, though the potatoes came out a little cool. My husband enjoyed the burger's char, though the fries were just okay. Our waitress, Melena, was excellent....friendly, attentive, and quick. Overall, good food and great service, and I'd likely return.

"Westwater" Burger (close), Miners Cabin burger (far). Apologies for the bad photo.

Had 2 burgers, the "westwater" and "miners cabin" plus like 3 beers. Total came out to near $70, which is a little pricy. But the burgers were cooked to near perfection, not too overdone and not too pink. You get tons of toppings for them as well. Mushrooms on my burger didn't have much to them, no seasonings and maybe even no butter. So burger kinda came off as "dry", as a whole. Sides were good too. Employees are quick and on the ball. Place was kinda like log cabin decor, no loud music but probably gets noisy with a full house.

Food was good with decent portions. We split the pulled pork (delicious!) and each got a side -- only got 4 onion rings. Sweet potato fries were as great as they said they were. Our friends got the beast burger, and they thought they were scrumptious. Little bit of miscommunication regarding being told we could be sat outside, and confusion with my drink. Ambiance is on the right track.

But this place wasn't just good, it was amazing. We started with the focaccia bread with compound butter. The butter offerings change, our selection was spicy peach, roasted garlic tomato and vanilla cinnamon. They were all so delicious, but my favorite was surprisingly the garlic tomato. I had the filet, with roasted potatoes and broccolini. I don't know if I will ever order anything else from the menu there because it was all perfect. Others in our group got the short rib, and loved it. The lobster Mac, and the open face prime rib sandwich, which were all yummy and well prepared also. The caramel carrot cake was divine! This is a great addition to Moab if you are looking for a more refined meal. I can't wait to come back next time we are in town.

Salad with goat cheese and grilled chicken (we split)- good, better if the chicken was warm. Cocktail selection was good- tried the special - 'du jour' of the night and was delicious- like a cold apple cider with a kick- cinnamon and ginger. Apple crisp - good, thin sliced apples. Overall a good experience.

If you like crunchy fries, this place nails them. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the space is huge-half of it is set up as a restaurant, while the other side is considered a pub, where you can order drinks without food. Since we were hungry, we ordered food anyway. The bartender was friendly and attentive, and the hostess even brought Luna a treat, which made her day. We stayed inside so Luna could cool off before heading to Arches National Park. The only downside for me was the margarita, which was far too sour for my taste. Still, the overall vibe, great fries, and pet-friendly attitude made this a solid stop in Moab.

I loved their juicy IPA and we all decided to get dinner so I had the hipster veggie burger and I genuinely think it was one of the best veggie burger I've ever had. It was crispy and veggie filled and so delicious with the toppings and sauces. The fries were also really good especially with their house made sauces. My friend got the kale caesar which was also amazing, highly recommend. This place is a little outside town but totally worth it and service was great. I wish I knew about it sooner, I highly recommend.
