Had the worst service today. I will probably not be returning to this restaurant and will tell all of my friends to do the same. When we first arrived they gave us a high chair and we put it at the end of the table so we could help feed my one year old. The very rude hostess came over and told us we had to immediately move the high chair somewhere because it could not sit there. This place is AMAZING!! First, our waitress was Kaitlyn (the tall Kaitlyn) and was wonderful-- The food was off the charts. I had the Greek omelet with a side of grits & collards. (Because I can never resist collards even with breakfast) My husband had the country fried steak--cook to perfection--okra, best I have ever had at a restaurant, mashed potatoes which were epic and sweet potato casserole which was like my mother's. The biscuit was better than my Mother's!!!! We left nothing behind--we wanted to lick the plates clean but too many folks close by. Okay. Been wanting to try this place out for over two years. It's ALWAYS busy! Wife and I went this morning for a late breakfast. I ordered eggs Benedict. I know eggs Benedict. Canadian bacon only. Canadian bacon is usually priced higher than regular bacon but I wanted to try it. I've ordered in several places who advertise the same thing: authentic eggs Benedict. Bottom line: ham steak, not Canadian bacon. Eggs not poached thoroughly enough - too much uncooked egg white visible. I ate it but wasn't exactly happy with it. IF you advertise eggs Benedict, GIVE eggs Benedict; it's like advertising for a Rolls Royce and getting a Beat up model A. Putting two pieces of ham steak on the toasted English muffin did not make up the difference in TASTE for ME. Will I go back? Possibly. The additional side of select fruit was excellent as was my wife's scrambled eggs, bacon and French toast. Overall: disappointed . read more

Our family recently ate breakfast at this restaurant on a Sunday morning. The food was fine but nearing the end of our meal we had just been poured another coffee to drink. Our son had joined us late and was not quite finished. Our server came to our table and started tapping it and looking around and said "I have people who would like this booth buuut, I guess maybe they could sit at a different table." She made us feel very uncomfortable and basically as if we are being asked to get up and leave before we were done. There were currently four clean, empty tables in the same section we were sitting in. So lack of seating was not a problem. Needless to say, we won't go back because that caused a very poor view of the restaurant. I like this place so much that I'm going to give them five stars even though my waitress was kind of surly. It was super-busy - always a good sign - but they seated me at a table per my request within a few minutes. There's also bar seating which is handy for overflow and solo diners. The restaurant has the look of a big country cabin, rockers on the porch and lots of clean finished wood, with a vibe like a more intimate version of Cracker Barrel. I had a basic breakfast with a side of sausage gravy. My eggs were cooked perfectly and I took the extra egg option (it's free - what??). Nice thick tasty bacon, excellent home fries. Great wheat toast; I forgot to request dry toast, so it was smothered in what tasted like real butter. The gravy was delicious and tasted freshly made. Very disappointed. I was seated and sat in my booth for over 10 minutes with multiple servers walking by me more than once, and one even made the comment " have y'all been helped?" And when we answered no , we still weren't helped!!! Just had to walk out and find somewhere else to eat. read more

Stopped in for lunch - nice place with that farmhouse feel. Log cabin style construction, finished nicely inside. Although they were busy, we were quickly seated. Good menu - I'm always after the meat & two veg - I had the chicken fried steak, fried squash and green beans with cornbread - all of which were very good! Price was good also. Ok. It's pretty hard to jack up breakfast but it can be done and this place proves it !! Ordered a western omelet and biscuits with a tea. I don't know where they learned how to cook an omelet but you don't scramble the eggs and mix the ingredients into the eggs. Taste of the So-called omelet was rather nonexistent. On the positive side I didn't get sick so there's that to consider. In town for the SE Regionals and looked up places to eat when this came up. My family was wanting breakfast during lunch time and since they serve breakfast all day, we decided to give it a try. So glad we did. Everything we had was delicious and they give you a great deal of food. We ordered 2 stack of pancakes with chocolate chips, side of sausage patties, 2 sausage gravy biscuit plate, eggs Benedict and a side of bacon and a cheeseburger and fries. I have never been so appalled, our waitress took a statement and turned it into a racist tryst, a waitress that I knew was going to be a problem during our last visit. A child was using a phone at full volume and I had difficulty hearing my wife and daughter, I tried to get the mothers attention but she ignored my attempts to get her attention. So my wife went to management and politely asked to get them to turn it down. They offered to move us but I said no it's an easy fix no need to play musical chairs just have em turn down the phone so I can hear my wife and daughter speak Within 30 seconds we had the assistant manager at our table shamming us for being racist, now the manager is there saying it's a public place and they can do what they want (by now the adults understood what was needed and had the kid turn turn the phone down) Meanwhile I'm still getting crap for being racist by a 20 Hispanic female who only will listen to the waitress and not the different ethnicities in front of her (our daughter is adopted) This Breakfast Time is in Kannapolis NC near highway 85 on the northbound side, the owner really need to contact me, all over a waitress that put her own spin for reasons unknown. I work at a local dealer, we are in the 3 times a week and I bring my sales team in there on Saturdays as a thank you for their hard work. Today we decided to have lunch there, me and another co-worker. When food was brought out, the waitress accidently spilled HOTT syrup on him, was on his hand, work a shirt and work pants and also shoes. Now things happen, we weren't bent out of shape but it took 10 minutes or so to wipe down everything and get all syrup off and to cool down the hand. Food was then cold from having to get everything situated, but we were crunched for time, and ate it. I then received the bill, and noticed that there was still a charge for his meal. I then said, hey I got this i'll meet you outside, I then go to the counter explained frustration on what happened and since we are in there all the time why no accomodation on the spilled syrup,. He has to go 20 minutes home just to changes his clothes then come back to work. so an hour gone. I asked if they would cover his part of the meal. Wasn't about the money, but the service and all that transpired. I then spoke with a hanah or shanah and she said she would get in trouble if took it off b/c he ate his meal and offered a cake. Told her it was not about getting anything for free. Why should the customer have to ask for an accomodation, what if hott syrup was spilled all over you and clothes. She would not get her manager either and told me we had to pay. I then paid, but lost a loyal customer who spends at least $400 a month there. If that's how do business then i'm sorry. It's sad, my team likes it there but terrible service and bad decision made on how to take care not only of a customer but a repeat 3 times a week customer. read more

First time visit today. Server was excellent and friendly,,, 5 stars for her. However, one of our two orders was wrong twice. The food was warm, not hot. Taste was ok except for the hash browns. I think these were deep fried frozen cakes of potatoe. I guess we're spoiled by a few other local places that aren't open on Sundays. .
