Looking for a good breakfast place brought my husband and I here after reading the reviews. I was deeply disappointed in the food. The service was okay, seated immediately, the waiters seemed to could not decide who was going to wait on us. Once the gentleman took our order we were off to a good start, the coffee and real half and half was wonderful. Food came out in a timely manner, I had the 2eggs scrambled with tenderloin and hash browns. The tenderloin seemed to be a frozen dropped in the fryer version, and the hash browns were cooked ahead , so was the toast, it like eating leftovers. My husbands omelet was mostly filled with onions. Everyone has different taste I know but for us we will not be returning. read more

We went to Palms Café last Saturday night about 45 minutes before they closed. When we went in, there was two other couples eating, but the restaurant had plenty of seating for their more busy hours. The menu had lots of options to choose from, but it wasn't overwhelming. Our food was delivered to us quickly. I was very impressed with their Greek salad and salmon. My daughter's got a hamburger and chicken nuggets. The fries were great, and they also had an array of homemade cakes. I really regret not getting one. Our waitress was great looked after us and answered all our questions. When I go back to Salisbury, I won't hesitate to come here again. read more

The Grecian tips are absolutely horrible. What I was served was some UNSEASONED thin and dry pork chop medallion with peppers and onions. This has to be the worse thing on the menu. When I think of Grecian tips I'm thinking of Greek MARINADED beef or pork strips (wish they specified on the menu). At least put a grain of salt and pepper on it. I'm writing this feedback not to bash Palms Cafe but to hopefully get the owner and/or cooks to taste test their food from time to time. I also ordered buffalo wings...tasted like they were cooked with zero love. Heated in an oven or microwave and DRENCHED/SWIMMING in buffalo sauce. Wings should be fried crispy and tossed in the sauce. If anyone think I'm exaggerating go there and order the Grecian tips and buffalo wings and tell me I'm not on point with my review. I've been a customer of the Palms Cafe since it opened, and have always loved whatever I ordered. The everyday special is fantastic to pickup for lunch during the work week, but the reuben is one of my favorite comfort foods. The omelettes, waffles, and hash browns are also amazing! The staff is always friendly, and the kitchen is quick to get orders out. Locals already know this is the restaurant to go to, but I highly recommend it to visitors! read more

Service has always been great but Management doesn't care about a once loyal customer. Marjel is rude and very disrespectful. He took our ticket and walks off after we pointed out the issue. He never saw the issue or even started to listen to our request. We decided to walk out, due to his attitude. He demanded we pay or he was going to call the cops and they would be at our door in an hour. I'm sure a business like this is very stressful but you should know who your customers are and take care of them and not be rude to them. This was my first time coming to Palms since they had the changes! I didn't love palms before because the menu was overwhelming and you needed a mega magnifying glass to read it. Now, it's a whole new world! Sit down dining, with waiters/waitresses. I love that they serve breakfast all day. My dad got French toast, eggs and bacon and it looked yummy! I got the Buffalo chicken wrap with chips, which was delicious! I'm picky about homemade chips, and these were cooked to perfection. They have a good selection of Gluten Free options which is the main reason we started coming here. Rarely post take out reviews, because I don't think they're always fair. Was quite ill with a migraine and had lunch delivered. It was a decent sized club sandwich with homemade chips and ranch. The food was good, nothing spectacular. The only thing I have an issue with is that a sandwich and chips cost $16+ which I find quite pricey. (That's not including fees for delivery-food only). When looking for middle ground to meet a friend coming from Greensboro (I was coming from Charlotte), we settled on Palms Cafe. Not going to lie, I mostly picked it for the promise of house made gelato. Imagine my disappointment when I walked in to find the gelato cooler empty. Womp, womp. The cooler was broken. No gelato for me. We both ordered coffee and settled in to catch up. We asked for the coffees in mugs since we knew we'd be staying a while but they came out in to-go cups. My cappuccino was solid. My friend seemed to enjoy her almond milk latte. Overall cleanliness of the restaurant was lacking. I wonder if we only noticed because we were there for a few hours and had time to look around. The table we sat at was pretty sticky and grimy. As others have mentioned, the only menu in the place is on a chalk board around the cashier area. Hard to digest all the options and I felt pretty overwhelmed and rushed when ordering. Not to mention, a lot of the choices featuring gelato weren't available. Have I mentioned that I was really looking forward to the gelato?! When dinner hour rolled around, we ordered sandwiches. The chips on the side were delish and tasted homemade! If I ever found myself back in Salisbury, I wouldn't totally rule out a return visit to Palms. But, I certainly wouldn't make a special trip, either. read more

Although I haven't branched out from my typical order, they also seem to serve breakfast all day. Pancakes make a perfectly acceptable lunch. I brought along my two year old daughter. We all enjoyed a delicious lunch. My daughter ate all of her food quietly. As my friend was enjoying her dessert and as we were catching up, my two year old did what a two year old does... squeal, cackle, and laugh. The people behind our booth even played peekaboo with her. I am mindful of the noise and have worked on quiet voice with her. I tried to find things to keep her occupied and distracted so we could finish catching up, but she was excited and other people were engaging her. Was she loud, at times, yes, but I did my best to keep her quiet and distracted and she would settle back down. She wasn't having a tantrum, she was happy and excited to eat with her mommy and a friend. An older lady who I am assuming was a manager, ran up to our table almost frantic. I thought something was wrong or maybe she knew my friend. The lady shouted frantically "People are complaining!" My friend probed her "About.. the baby?" "Yes!" And nothing else was said as she walked away. I was mortified and didn't know what to think in that moment. The lady acted like we were a nuisance and my child was unwelcome there. We quickly packed our things, and as we walked out we noticed there were maybe 4 other tables occupied as it was closer to 2. I understand people enjoy quiet lunches, but I was doing my best with my daughter who had been mostly quiet and pleasant during our lunch. I did not appreciate how I was approached by this lady. There is respectful way to address this if there were true complaints. I would not leave a negative review if she would have had a conversation with me. We were customers too. I honestly think she just wanted us to leave the restaurant and there were not any complaints. As much as I liked the food, I won't go back to a place that made me feel unwelcome. read more

I got my food delivered by DoorDash. My order was $65 and some change. The driver arrived before the suggested time. Like..: my fries were still hot! I ordered turkey on croissant with cheese, lettuce, onion, and tomato. I got a stale crumbled croissant, it was cold.. as if it had been in a refrigerator cold. The turkey and cheese was slightly warm. Not even a hint of any of the vegetables... My wife had the French dip sandwich with home fries. She said it was good. She also ordered a slice of red velvet cake... a slice... was $10! And it was NASTY! It taste like... refrigerator! For $10 for a little slice of cake it should.. at the very least.. be fresh... and/or be stored with an .90 box of baking soda to soak up that taste! By far the worst $35 I have spent in a long time! The dog wouldn't even eat the croissant! (Just to put it in perspective) My wife's food was good... the DoorDash driver was great! I learned my lesson! If you don't know.. you don't know...
