Walked in to this coffee shop since I was a bit early for the Cheerwine Festival. It was a very small space, the decor was interesting. I ordered a sausage egg and cheese breakfast sandwich on a crossaint. I also ordered the cheerwine frappe. The sandwich was hot and yummy, it was really good! The Cheerwine frappe got a few sips out of me, then went straight to the trash. I did not like it at all. It was extremely bitter and not sweet at all. The service was just okay. The frappe took no time to be prepared and I waited quite some time for my breakfast sandwich, however I don't mind since it was hot and fresh when I received it!

Cute local spot we found while charging our vehicle in Salisbury. Friendly service. Interesting local art exhibit on display. Loved that! Enormous list with interesting coffee selections. Coffees were all good and hot! I had an Americano and the coffee was rich and delicious. Everything was served quickly and hot! My boyfriend had a French connection and a cherry danish, both were tasty. I had a bagel with bacon, egg, and cheese and enjoyed every bite. Great spot! Highly recommend!

There are a couple different cafe/coffee shop near downtown, they all have different vibe, and each of their own. Mean Mug kinda artsy. Food choices are limited compared to Koco or Tia. But you don't go to a cafe for food anyway. Drinks wise, they have more choices than others, menu also Starbucks like so very diverse.

I came here during the Cheerwine festival. I got the Cheerwine frappe which was delicious. It was only $5.00. Everyone was very friendly. It is a cute spot. They even have live music.

Coffee shop in downtown Salisbury rhat serves a variety of coffee drinks as well as smoothies. They also offer a selection of lunch items and baked goods. We walked in and were able to go right to the counter to order. I ordered a latte and couldn't decide what flavor, so told the barista to pick 2 flavors and surprise me. She did not disappoint, and I had a delicious butter cookie latte! Husband ordered the orange Creamsicle smoothie and said it was delicious ( I did steal a sip to make sure, and it was fantastic!) They feature local art on the walls and have some fun t-shirts and things for sale. No seating outside but tables and chairs inside if you want tomsit and sip. There are 5 in NC, so now I'll go.find the rest!

Nothing better than a cup of coffee and a morning stroll through downtown Salisbury! Nice staff, customized my coffee to fit my taste without any issues. If I didn't have somewhere to be, there is plenty of seats and tables to relax.

I was on my way from Charlotte to Raleigh for business meetings, and decided to get some coffee to support a local shop in Salisbury, a cute city located 25 miles northeast of Charlotte. This place is in one of the city's main streets. I ordered a 16 oz. café con miel latte (sweetened with honey) with an extra shot and it was delicious. The server was super friendly and my fellow patrons were locals who helped give this cute coffee shop a true local feeling. You should give it a try if you are in town!

INTRO: Mean mug café is a nice café in downtown Salisbury. They have some unique flavors like hibiscus and cheerwine but my experience was disappointing. Cheer wine Latte (5$): Salisbury is known for Cheer wine given they have Cheer wine Latte. Mean Mug offers Cheer wine Latte. Unfortunately, all it was Starbucks latte with a pint of cheer wine. Menu are decently priced. Parking/ Location: This will be located right in downtown Salisbury, so parking can be an issue unless you get street parking. Ambience and Service: The place is clean however it was too noisy. I was on a date and the coffee maker machine dwarf the conversation. They have an outdoor seating with steel chair and table but depending on weather you can decide your preference on whether to seat indoor or outdoor.Table outside are woobly

This is what it's supposed to look like. Please get it together and don't give Guatemalan food a bad name

People from North Carolina are easily fooled by wanna be Guatemalan food.. Refried can beans from Ducal refried beans, which, by the way, they are good, but canned beans nonetheless. The plantains tasted sour, were served whole instead of sliced and oily. I am sorry, but this is not good authentic Guatemalan food. The place is cute and it has a good ambiance. There is potential. Their bagel and English muffin sandwiches were good.

I was looking for a local coffee shop to have a cup of coffee and get some reading done and ran in to this place. I figured I'd order a cheerwine latte since cheerwine is based out of Salisbury and I'm glad I did. The coffee was great! I even took some coffee beans to go. Although the breakfast I had could use some more flavor, I like the place a lot. The service was great, the place was nice, and comfortable enough to hang out and read for a while.Would definitely go back for a cup of coffee!

My date and I both love jazz and this spot was recommended to us in passing. I am so glad we listened because it was absolutely amazing. The vibe is swanky and super cute. When you walk in the walls are lined with photos of different jazz artists including the performers for that night. It felt so classy and welcoming. There is a hostess at the front who seats you based on your ticket and yes you buy your tickets online. I saw some available on third party sites but we purchased directly from the Middle C Jazz website. The venue itself is intimate. I would say maybe 100 people fit comfortably. No matter where you are seated you can see the stage. There truly is not a bad seat in the house. Some tables are reserved like the couple celebrating their anniversary who were seated right in front of the stage. We were off to the side but the view and sound were still perfect. When you arrive you stand in a short line and then get seated. If you are a party of two you might share a table with another couple which I did not mind at all. They have small bites you can order and there is a little light on the table you tap when you are ready for service. I had the crab cakes they were okay and my date had the sliders. I also ordered a glass of wine and everything paired nicely with the music. And the music... wow. The band played for about two hours and they were incredible. That night was a Stevie Wonder tribute and they absolutely delivered. I hear different bands play each night which makes me want to come back again and again. It was my birthday weekend but we were mostly there for the date. Still it felt like the perfect way to celebrate without even trying. The sound, the atmosphere, the intimacy, everything was so cute and so well done. Parking was easy. There is metered street parking or a garage right behind the building for ten dollars. You can either pay inside the jazz club or at the pay station. Just a heads up the pay station does not take American Express so if that is your card of choice handle the parking payment inside. This was honestly one of the best nights I have had in a long time. The music was fantastic the venue was beautiful and the whole experience felt special. Anytime someone visits me in Charlotte Middle C Jazz will be on the list. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I didn't see that with the construction and detours, so I parked in a tow-away zone right in front of the eight-foot monument. No, I didn't get a ticket, but I didn't stay as long as I would have liked either. The statue is 8 feet high, made of bronze and created by Thomas Jay Warren. The statute depicts Coltrane with his tenor saxophone. It was dedicated on September 20th, 2006, on what would have been Coltrane's 80th birthday. I liked that there was a storyboard about John Coltrane and his career to read, and that there was a nearby historical marker. "My music is the spiritual expression of what I am ~ my faith, my knowledge, my being." Coltrane was born in Hamlet, NC, but moved to High Point as an infant and grew up living with his extended family. Coltrane grew up with music; his father played the ukulele, and his mother was a trained singer and pianist. Coltrane first started playing the clarinet and alto horn. Then, at William Penn High School, he joined the band and started playing the saxophone. Coltrane found solace in music after the deaths of his father, grandfather and uncle. Coltrane moved to Philadelphia and joined the Navy. He collaborated with other legends like Miles Davis and Thelonious Monk. He overcame his addiction to drugs and alcohol. His "spiritual awakening" led him to more spiritual music. Coltrane's career was cut short as his untimely death from liver cancer took him at age 40. But he left a lasting legacy with albums such as Blue Train, Giant Steps and A Love Supreme. .

The Cajun pasta had the best sauce I have ever had in a pasta (and I just recently come back from Italy) along with the perfect blacked chicken. Seafood gumbo blew me away with the flavor and spice, everything in it was so well blended together. The mashed potatoes were a perfect addition and balanced out the meal. For my entrée, I ordered the blackened catfish with mashed potatoes and andouille sausage. The fish was pretty bland--I could taste the Cajun spice, but there wasn't much depth of flavor beyond that. The mashed potatoes, surprisingly, were the highlight--well-seasoned and delicious. The sausage was just okay, nothing special. For an appetizer, we got the Cajun popcorn (crawfish), and that was actually really good--well-seasoned and something we definitely enjoyed. I also had the New Orleans Iced Tea, but it had too much ice and ended up tasting watered down. My date didn't care much for their meal either and the lack of seasoning was bland too (even though I forgot exactly what they ordered), which says a lot about the overall experience. One thing to note: parking is rough, but they do offer valet. The valet attendant working Saturday night was very kind and did a great job handling everything on his own. There are definitely better seafood spots out there. This one just didn't hit the mark for us.

This needs to be addressed on the FAQ page on their website, insane it isn't listed already. The drinks were the most meh drinks I've ever had. Their menu looks incredible, but the cocktails were so mediocre. Nothing special, I didn't even like my Pear Cosmo it just tasted like straight lime juice. Two of my friends got the Spicy Margarita and they tasted completely different. One was insanely spicy, the other wasn't spicy at all. Took 15 minutes for a server to come over and acknowledge and take drink orders. Seemed like lots of miscommunication on which servers had which table. As one would come over, the other would check in less than 30 seconds later. The vibe inside is cute but super strange that they didn't steam/iron the green curtains which are a big centerpiece for the room... you can see the crease marks on the curtains from where they were taken out of the package folded. Jazz band was awesome. However, for this being a lounge it was too loud. Couldn't hear the person sitting next to you talking because it was so loud.
