I went with my dad here for breakfast and it was just ok for me. Staff were great, very friendly and the place was clean and packed with customers. But my omelette and hash browns fell flat for me. My dad seemed to have enjoyed his fully. Wasn't much flavor to me with mine. I opted to not get toast or biscuit and added on one pancake. That was delicious. Light and fluffy.

Our last day in Salisbury, NC and we wanted a filling breakfast. We stumbled upon this gem and they exceeded our expectations. We were short on time so we sat at the counter. The service was efficient and the hospitality was top tier. I couldn't believe how affordable everything was. The place was packed so that's always a good sign the food and atmosphere is good. Looking forward to our next visit.

This place is as close as you can get to your grandmas breakfast! ----and it's reasonably priced! Visiting family and stopped by here and it did not disappoint. Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. The bananas foster pancakes were to die for (warning you need to have a sweet tooth to enjoy). The bacon was cooked perfectly, and the grits and eggs were fine. The biscuit was a little on the dry side but nothing a little jelly or gravy couldn't fix. The home fries were also delicious--great seasoning on them. Definitely try this place out if you haven't!

I love this place. One of the best restaurants in Salisbury. Great place to get a delicious affordable breakfast. They also have sandwiches and salads. Lots to choose from so perfect for the whole family to enjoy, including my vegetarian sister. I appreciate that this establishment remains consistent how they prepare their food. I think consistency is what makes a restaurant exceptional.

My friend said they have great breakfast here, and breakfast is my favorite meal. He had me at livermush! I cannot buy livermush where I live in Florida:( When we walked in, the place reminded me of a brighter, fresher baby cousin to Cracker Barrel. The place was packed, but it was expected on a Sunday morning. Two seats were available at the bar so we just sat there instead of waiting for a table. We sat next to a friendly regular named Ron. While the staff obviously treated him well and already knew his usual order, they treated us with kindness and attentiveness too. Our order was taken in a timely manner. The server was patient with helping my friend get a platter with all the different food options he wanted for the most sensible price. None of the prices were high though. My livermush was cooked with a crunchy outside. Yummy! Iykyk. This is the only way livermush should be served. I made a biscuit with mine. Satisfaction. This place may be in my rotation going forward when I come home. Ron had a toasted croissant I may try next time with my livermush though. I actually preferred the bar seating so I could see what some of the other food selections looked like. The restaurant looked clean in the front as well as in the food prep areas.

We had family in town from Oregon and they really like the Breakfastime near our home in the Hanes Mall area of Winston. Breakfasttime is a tried and true favorite of ours and whenever we have visitors we at least go a minimum of once. This family visit we went to our local Breakfastime, but also discovered when we were exploring areas of our state there is a Breakfastime in Salisbury. When we discovered this our visiting family once again said, "Yes, let's do Breakfastime"! We arrived about 10am. This particular location looks very different from other locations we have visited. It looks similar to an old residence or log home with a huge porch which even allows for outdoor dining. The parking lot is ample and we didn't have a problem finding a place to park. We checked in with the hostess and were told it would be about a 10 minute wait. The lobby area was pretty crowded so my wife inquired if they have a speaker system allowing guests to wait outside on the porch and hear their name called. The hostess confirmed and we proceeded to visit on the porch while we waited a few minutes for our name to be called. We were seated, our drink orders were taken and we were provided menus which appear to be the same offerings as our neighborhood location. We ordered some of our favorite dishes and our server was friendly and efficient. Once again, Breakfastime for the win. It is consistent, yummy and very reasonably priced.

Love this every time we go! The parking lot looked crowded, but there was no wait and we were seated immediately. The waitress was so nice and friendly. Our food was delicious! If you are a chocolate fan get the pancakes! They are the best!!

There was a small wait. Yet, it was handled very well. It was PACKED & they had seating upstairs however, I was with my mother (87) and stairs were not an option. The meal was delectable. I ordered multiple dishes at different times during the meal. The prices were extremely reasonable. The vibe is very eclectic and old-school. Very very nice. I really really enjoyed it! I definitely will be going back again

6 stars out of 5. Price is reasonable, big portion, healthy menu items, and service is quick. It is similar to a Denny's with better service and decors. They only open from 6-3pm, so if you want a good breakfast and lunch, you have to try here. Parking lot is full all the time but the floorplan is very big so therefore you rarely have to wait during peak hours. If you are health conscious, there are sensible sandwiches or steak/eggs you can choose from.

I love this place. I stick to my usual favorites, waffles, French toast, hash browns, soup, and sandwiches. The bacon here is cooked between chewy and crispy. I prefer mine crispy and when I ask for it, it's always cooked perfectly for me -- not quite falling apart when you touch it. Everything I have tried is great. The servers are usually attentive and very friendly. The cakes are sitting in a case near the register and are very rich and decadent. You can get a refill of your drink to-go if you're not asked. It can get loud inside at times. I usually come after they first open, during a weekday lunch, or on the weekends after 1:30 to avoid a long wait. There is a second level seating area accessible by stairs. The host is usually good about asking if sitting up there is an option for you/your party.

If you are EVER looking for a great breakfast, I mean, the best breakfast you can get, Look no further! It doesn't get better than breakfast time. They have several locations and I have visited 3 of them. They are all fantastic, consistent, and the service has been excellent at all of them as well. The breakfast is huge. You can add an additional egg at NO cost and that is unheard of. I wish they had on in kernersville or oak ridge. Until then, I will continue to drive to Winston.

Service is always wonderful! Food is good - I prefer the lunch items even tho it's called Breakfastime! Great place

So we decided to get a bite while we were in the area.My wife wanted the coconut Shrimp. I decided on the wings. I just about got the Lasagna. It's all ways been good over the years. I had a salad to go with my wings. Salad was fine. My wife wanted the sweet sauce for her coconut shrimp but it came with some other dipping sauce. Which neither she or I liked. Her Coconut shrimp were cooked that had it been a piece of meat it would be Well Done. There was no sign of coconut on the shrimp. And the dipping sauce wasn't even good. My wings were cooked to death. I was rolling them in the wing sauce to possibly give them some moisture. They were cooked dry I was having to wash each one down with my beverage. As we sat there talking to each other about how disappointed in our meal. I called our youngest son to see if he and his wife had eaten there in a while. And his first remark was we sure have a the quality of the food had gone down in flavor and quality. Not sure if we will get give DJ's another chance or not. Out waitress was spot on with Tea or anything we needed. A very pleasant young lady. Not sure what has changed. Had they been just slammed with customers but at 4 in the afternoon.

Food and drinks are pretty good, and the atmosphere is also nice. Service was very good.read more

Our server, I forget her name, was the epitome of hospitality and service. She anticipated our needs (refills, to go containers etc) - chatted about the history or the restaurant and town - providing suggestions not just for dinner but attractions on our way to our destination. She was just so very cool. The food was great - I opted for Greek Spaghetti. Different than I've had before but enjoyed it all the same. It was like the flavor was liquid or broth form, pooled at the bottom of the dish. Another version I had was dry, like Pesto. Anyway - when I figured out all the goodness was at the bottom of the plate - it was all over from there. Mixed it up a little. Toss in a little crushed red peppers for taste. Then inhaled it all until it was all gone. The al dente noodles. Charred chicken. All just right. The service for me made it an excellent experience. Food was good and I enjoyed it enough that if I'm ever in the area again, I'd definitely stop in - but not before trying other places first. But if I lived in the area, I'd be a regular.

However, this was my daughter's last night visiting us before returning to the West Coast, and we have fond memories of eating at CB during our family travels when she was MUCH younger. We arrived at this location an hour before closing, which I try to avoid with any restaurant. The parking lot was sparse at that hour, so parking wasn't a problem. We were immediately escorted to our table after making our way to the host station. There were still several tables occupied, which made me feel less guilty about our arrival time. Drinks were promptly brought to our table and then we placed our order. Now comes to the one-star deduction explanation. By my phone, at least 30 minutes went by before I asked our server if our food was coming out or did we need to go elsewhere. Up until this time, our server hid in the kitchen. While he appeared geniunely polite, I think he was honestly afraid to ask the kitchen crew what was taking so long. Our server's supervisor came out and apologized for the delay explaining that our order had been lost (our server later told us the order printer ran out of paper and no one seemed to notice). In an effort to make it up to us, the supervisor stated he would take off the priciest meal on our ticket. Within a few minutes, our order did come out and thankfully the food was delicious, which actually was this restaurant's saving grace. I don't normally travel through this area unless headed to the Charlotte airport, so it's unlikely I'll stop again at this CB location. My recommendation though would be to come during busier times of the day when the staff seemed to be more "on point."

And it seems the servers get pressured from management on this and it negatively shows to families with children who come to this location. And if you ask for an extra plate to share all sorts of negative emotions are displayed from servers. This has happened on multiple occasions. With young kids who do not eat much anyway, not sure why this location wants to pick battles with families with kids. All of this doesn't just flow from the servers, it comes from the management/owner(s) who instead of finding a way to balance margins and customer service, they sacrifice customer service for minimal margin gain by directing their staff and probably reprimanding them for these kinds of situations. We have visited multiple other longhorns over the years and this is the only one that displays a noticeable stinginess and negative attitude with extra plates and kid's meal orders. All other longhorns have provided excellent service when we order the same thing at any other longhorn we go to and have no complaints; the Salisbury location however today decided to seemingly cut one of our kids meal steaks in half and serve one steak as two on separate kids meals. Our server today was sweet and very nice until we ordered, then a noticeable shift took place in the tone and atmosphere, and the staff seemed to try and "get back" at us by providing us with the tiniest steaks possible, literally half the size of a normal kid's steak we have ever received in the years we have been going to Longhorn and getting kids meals. With 3 young kids all over 2 years old present; ordering 2 kids meals and an extra plate with our family of 5 should not be met with this kind of disgruntlement from staff. This kind of stinginess flows from the higher ups at this location and it shows. And of all the days to deliver a passive aggressive retaliation on kids meals to my kids, they chose Father's Day. We will not be returning to this location as it is not family friendly. So now, losing customers and revenue over this pettiness doesn't seem so good for the margins anymore does it?
