Good food ... good service ... good prices ( value ) ... all add up to a good experience. We will return for more! :)

so it's been a week and business is good but not slammed and I get sat immediately and get coffee, water, and a menu (by the time I leave there's a couple larger parties waiting for tables to open) I go for a country nest with two eggs up on a bed of cheesed grits plus a biscuit. grits are a little creamier than I am used to but maybe that's the gravy talking? don't matter cuz it's still good with the eggs and a dose of the red and there's a biscuit too! still smiling because breakfast is good :-)

Breakfast Bowl- Fried Chicken

My boyfriend and I stopped by Happy Egg on Sunday for a late breakfast/brunch and absolutely loved it! It's a smaller spot, but already super popular -- and I totally get why. I ordered the fried chicken breakfast bowl, and it did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy, the eggs were cooked perfectly, and everything had amazing flavor. But honestly, the biscuits stole the show -- big, fluffy, buttery perfection. We both agreed they were the best part of the meal. The staff were friendly, and the food came out fresh and hot. Definitely adding this one to our regular weekend rotation!

Kaitlyn is super helpful! Honestly all the staff are really nice. The food is good and I love that you can get lunch at 7 am if you want. The whole menu is served all day. Whatever you're in the mood for you can have! Very homy and comfortable vibe.

We go out for breakfast/brunch 4 to 5 days a week in the Lake Norman area. We're always delighted for another option. Especially in Mooresville. The new Happy Egg didn't disappoint. Clean and new and opened by an excellent chef formerly from another breakfast/lunch restaurant in the LKN area. We had a special version of Huevos Rancheros. Great! Service with a smile from Meredith made our breakfast even better. Good coffee, too.

Good food selection, pricing is fair. Owner is a former chef at local high end restaurants, I heard.

Great food, great service at a reasonable price. So glad we found this place! And the fact it's close to home makes it even better.

Very good food and portions. However, don't go there expecting moderate prices. This is not fast food. $12 cheeseburger, $10 hotdog.

When our server Layla asked how everything was we shared w her and she showed concern and before we knew it we had a remake of the steak and eggs super hot and even more delicious thanks to Britt. Too much hollandaise and it was kinda cheesy? Knife had an old tomato seed stuck on it but I wiped it off and persevered. Server was super polite. Not sure if I will return. Well maybe I'll try lunch next time.

Once to food came it was ok...but not worthy of the 4/5 stars that others have offered or the ranking as a great brunch place. My omelet and biscuit were good enough (but not hot enough...did they sit around waiting to be expedited...short servers?). As for the grits. They ran out. How does a breakfast place in NC run out? They finally came after I had finished the omelet. Sigh. THEN the single slice of lukewarm French toast came. After the grits. After she was long finished with her eggs. It WAS delicious though. The hostess greeted us immediately upon walking in and showed us to our table. Their kids menu is nice and simple (burger, tenders, grilled cheese and even salmon). My kiddos chose the classic chicken tenders and fries. Their meals came out pretty quickly. Each plate came with three large tenders and a very generous amount of fries (which were well seasoned and tasted great). My husband and I started with the Spinach & Artichoke Dip. It was nice and warm and was also a great portion size. It would probably be sufficient for four people to share. The entrees took a while to come out, but in their defense, they got really busy. For my entree, I tried the Shrimp New Orleans. The presentation was great and again, it was a nice side. Although the meal tasted fine, I'm not sure about "the best on the menu". The service was great. All staff members were professional and attentive. The dining room and restrooms were clean. I love the patio and breezeway seating for nice days. Overall, I enjoyed our visit.

Fresh Egg - Where Diets Go to Die (Happily)…read more Our group of 4 1/2 (yes, somebody only ate half their plate because self-control showed up late ) walked into Fresh Egg thinking we were just grabbing breakfast... and walked out needing a nap and a moment of silence. Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).
