Brick Oven Quesadilla Asked for the chicken to be tossed in buffalo sauce!
    Emily M.

This space is really large so it's usually good for a crowd, and little wait time. I love bringing family here because a lot of them are picky and the menu is diverse bar food. My go to is the quesadilla made with their pizza dough. It's stretched thin so it isn't like a calzone, and I ask them to toss the chicken in buffalo sauce. It's delicious! They serve coke products which is my preferred soda, and the beer list is great. Our server this time around took care of our large 8 person party with ease. Never missed a refill and every order was correct. We will be back!

Our second time here because it was so good last time. We ordered a pizza tonight, a Caesar salad, spinach artichoke dip, chicken wings and a bowl of chili. Everything was delicious, especially the wings and the chili.

Sirloin Dip with sweet potato fries
    Suzanne S.

We dined tonight for the first time in years. Someone on Facebook mentioned they had the best macaroni and cheese, so I wanted to try that. We were greeted kindly by the hostesses and seated promptly. Our waitress was kind and efficient, and the service was fantastic throughout the night. I thought the prices were very reasonable, as well. We started with the fried pickles, which were fried perfectly crispy, but lightly. They weren't too greasy at all. They were served with this jalapeno ranch dressing that was good, but we preferred the plain ranch dressing. I had a salad with blackened salmon. The dressing was a tasty ginger vinaigrette, but the whole dish needed seasoning. I would get it again, however. The macaroni and cheese was the biggest disappointment of the night for me. The noodles were very overcooked and the sauce was gluey. I ate a few bites but that's all I could stand. I wouldn't get that again. My son had the Sirloin Dip and had no complaints. Based on the lackluster food we had, I was ready to give this restaurant a 3 to 3.5, but the service and the prices made me realize that a 4.0 was earned. We will return.

Pizza was really good. Nice crisp crust and overall taste was great. Buffalo chicken sandwich was huge and had left overs to bring home.

All of it is super modern, clean, and well designed. Now onto the food specifically - I heard it was really good so I decided to order some lunch. My only complaint is there's no way to order online so I had to call my order in. I got a burger and fries, chicken wings, and guacamole. The burger was great, I have no complaints at all, and the fries were fresh and flavorful. The wings were jumbo and juicy. I don't think I'll order the barbalo sauce next time, but other than that the wings were amazing. They come with fresh celery and carrots and blue cheese/ranch. Overall I was impressed. And the guacamole was fresh, chunky, and tasted great. The chips were good too, honestly no complaints and would order again. Overall I was surprised how good the food is here being a pickleball facility. The restaurant area is honestly much nicer than most restaurants in the Lake Norman area and I wouldn't think twice about taking someone here for lunch. Everything feels well run, thought out, and I'm glad to see it looks like they're growing fast. I showed up on a Tuesday afternoon and the parking lot was full to the brim - I honestly thought they must be sharing parking with someone else but no, it was just as full of people on the inside.

My server was amazing as we (Im)patiently waited for him. I ordered the roasted beet tower to start. Finely diced marinated beets with a thin slice of goat cheese topped with mixed greens and a vinaigrette. This dish tasted so fresh! My husband's only complaint was chasing the tiny beets around the plate (first world problems) I chose to have a cup of their creamy chicken soup. No rice, no potato filler - cream based, fresh chicken mushrooms and carrots danced around my mouth. Topped with Gruyère (I think) each bite was like a rich warm hug from grandma Our entrees arrived in a timely manner - him having the ahi tuna poke bowl. He chose to substitute the rice for mixed greens. He devoured the entree and noted the tuna being sweet for the longer sear - his fault, he forgot to ask for it to be cooked extremely rare or done raw, poke style as it was to be a poke bowl which is typically served raw. I chose the harvest bowl. A base of rice and quinoa topped with Brussel sprouts, beets, greens, goat cheese, and butternut squash. I chose to add grilled shrimp. Holy cow. I felt like all of the vegetables were home grown from the chef's garden. Perfectly roasted and seasoned. An impressive rice/quinoa topped vegetable ratio exceeded all expectations!!!

Chef Erick + team take every measure to prevent cross contamination for those with allergies - whether seafood or gluten. I also love the way their set up is: order your drinks from king canary, order your food from the Marlee Jeans side. It's perfect for gathering with a group as they give you a number tent and the server/food runner brings you the food as soon as it is prepared. In my opinion, this prevents food from sitting in the windows and getting cold cause "it's not my table." The concept of gathering your own utensils (not plastic) is spot on as it allows those who only want to drink and sit and socialize not feel pressured to order a full sit down meal, thus washing cutlery that's never been used. For this most recent visit, I took advantage of their snow-weather special: $30 for 1 dozen raw oysters as well as their lobster Mac and cheese. Coming out hot and bubbly with a cheese crust, I had to wait for the Mac and cheese to cool off to eat. I sat at the raw bar and watched Chef Erick personally shuck my oysters. My short rib quesadilla was just as flavorful though I think I prefer the short rib panini instead.

I am a Lobster Roll enthusiast, I have eaten Lobster Rolls from every north east coastal state and everywhere else I go - if there's a Lobster Roll on the menu there's a good chance that's what I'm getting. Unfortunately this one was one of my least favorites. There was no hint of sweetness, it was bitter and overly seasoned. The lobster meat itself was fine although I had to pick shell out of my mouth 3 different bites, and the flavors were just off to me. The roll was good, but we all know the star of the show is the lobster and it was just not doing it for me. The wings were dry. That's basically a deal breaker right off the bat, if the chicken isn't tender and juicy it's hard to enjoy them. I also had multiple flats with broken bones. I got the Cajun dry rub which was pretty good, but on a overly cooked dry wing it ends up overwhelming. You need a juicy wing to complement a strong seasoning. My first experience was right after they opened maybe a year ago or so, so I wanted to give them another try. Maybe they do good stuff with other dishes based on the reviews, but my experiences have been underwhelming.
