We took a friend for my birthday it was great the service was on target and tourists should visit

We went on Thursday burger night. The burgers were a little small in my book. The service was great and fast.

Fresh chef is a cornelius CLASSIC. Its so delicious, fresh (as per the name), and welcoming. The service is great. There are plenty of options, (my personal fav is the salmon wrap and kale salad). Mind you, this kale salas is so unbelievably good that there are reddit threads on how to recreate the recipe. Im not kidding and I know this for a fact bc I have contributed to them! I think about this salad a lot, quite possibly at least twice a week. My only note is that it is so dark in there - like Abercrombie and fitch circa 2012 type dark. Eat outside if you enjoy light! So I go here on a regular. The service is phenomenal, the food I've ordered has been good. But I've been twice these last past weeks and the A/C is still broken. Not sure what the issue may be but it's very unfair to us paying customers and those hard workers. I feel like it's been broken for almost a month now and that's ridiculous! So make sure you check the status of the A/C before dining there, cause it's very uncomfortable eating in the heat. read more

Food is usually good but be prepared to get something in your order incorrectly. Happens often. We have been to this restaurant over probably 30+ times since we've lived in the area. They never seem to get the order correct even after double checking the order via phone. Every time they blame it on the girls in the front, which I do not blame. I blame it on the people in the back who are preparing these orders and the manager who should be holding these people accountable not the girls who are in high school and not working full-time. After tonight, I don't think we'll use this restaurant any longer as it has become such an inconvenience and we are not ever getting consistency. I think they can improve but their process needs to change. It sucks when your order is not right and it's dinner time :( read more

We love Fresh Chef -- both the Cornelius and Mooresville spots -- but today's visit in Cornelius was next level! The service is always amazing, but today it was seriously above and beyond. Jeanette (the manager) and our servers, Kendall and Chloe, were all so kind, fast, and genuinely fun to talk to. They made us feel totally taken care of and somehow managed to keep things running smoothly and entertain our wild toddler at the same time. Jeanette even showed off her Halloween-themed earrings to our daughter. It's rare to find a place that nails the food and has a team that makes you feel like family. First time at this establishment and it was a really good experience. The inside was warm and inviting. We stopped in for lunch while shopping near by. The servers were quite pleasant and very attentive. The food was fresh, abundant and the quality was very good. The inside seems more like an upscale restaurant, which I was worried about for lunch but the prices seemed very reasonable. I had the salmon wrap with fries ($15) and the presentation was great and I only ate half given its size. Great value in my mind. The fries were thin and crispy (Yum!) and quite tasty, haven't had that in a long time, brought back fond memories. The manager stopped by and greeted us(nice touch) and offered us a free dessert option! My only criticism would be I also tried the clam chowder soup and it was not very good. It was thin (not a lot of flavor) and had too many large potatoes and lacked clams(I maybe saw a couple?). I was expecting a tasty rich soup with flavor, unfortunately It was lacking a lot. Fresh Chef is awesome, the food is fantastic, the service is fast and friendly. If you are in the area you owe it to yourself to stop by and get something to eat, or even if you have to go out of your way it's well worth the trip. Okay here we go. So many wonderful reasons to check them out. Great service from the moment we walked in the door. I love how everyone pitches in to make sure you're good. We did not want for anything. Lots of booths. Not a lot of seating for groups larger than 4. The manager, Seth checked on our table and took the time to chat with me, which I appreciated. I also noticed he checked on all of the tables. He told me they have 10 locations, never saw them before. We tried a few dishes. Crab cakes-real crab meat- delicious. Fresh fruit, yummy biscuits. My husband didn't care for the eggs or potatoes. They just started serving breakfast so maybe there will be some tweaks. Jada did a wonderful job of taking care of us and has a great sense of humor. 11:00 on Saturday and we were seated quickly. We'll definitely be back. There's more we still want to try but I want more crab cakes, my husband wants more shrimp and tea. He said it's the closest to homemade sweet tea he's ever had. Check them out! read more

Fresh Chef is one of the few places I can literally say "I can't wait to get that salad!" They have a full menu with burgers, etc and it's all good, but I love that I can eat healthy salads there that are literally worthy of looking forward to. The herb shrimp salad is my personal favorite. The prices are fair and the service is always great. read more

Make it make sense. I was just charged $14.00 for a grilled cheese. Just 2 pieces of bread and cheese. On the exact same order the cheeseburger was 12.00! I guess there is a discount if you order meat?? WTF?? I live just down the street from the restaurant and it has always been the got to when I don't feel like cooking. Have not actually been in a sit down restaurant for some time and while this was not the first, it was nice dining in again. My new Doctor had wanted me to take a Pulmonary Fitness Test to add to my baseline. Appointment was at 4pm at Novant Hospital in Huntersville. I had mentioned to my wife that morning, it would be nice to dine out after a hectic day. She agreed with all the preparation for moving, cooking dinner was the last thing on her mind. She suggest Fresh Chef which was one of our favorites if they were open. They have been doing curbside for sometime now but was not sure about either dining in or dining outside. Checked an they were available for all of the above. While I was at the Hospital, she was picking up the obnoxious Corgi from Doggie Day Care and we both got home within a minute of each other. She took Watson for a walk and I checked the mail and we left for dinner shortly thereafter. Walked in and were promptly seated. They are doing a good job spacing patrons out and wearing masks etc. The inside dining area was sparsely occupied because out of caution, with the mild temperature, most patrons preferred the outside dining. They also were doing a very brisk curb side pickup business with cars lined up picking up dinner. My wife order the soup of the day which was a Potato Soup and while she only wanted a cup of soup, it only comes in one size and that size is enormous. For her entrée, she ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich which was also huge. Guess what she is having for lunch tomorrow? I ordered the Black and Bleu Salad with the steak cooked medium rare. It was perfect and the Blue Cheese Dressing was extraordinarily good. Portions again were huge and I did post pictures from my cell phone at the time. Service was outstanding as always. Glad they are open but at the same time both the restaurant and the customers must take equal steps to remain safe and in doing so, makes for a pleasant dining experience. read more

This is the last straw. We were seated this afternoon and no one came to serve us. We waited what we believe to be an appropriate amount of time and still no one. The restaurant was not busy. We got up and left. Told the hostess we had not been waited on and she let us go. I am very cautious of strip mall restaurants.... This is very happily an exception. Dillon was my server...he was so dang speedy, super polite, and did an excellent job. Dillon made the excellent suggestion of the Chicken Parmesan. The chicken was lightly breaded and cooked very well. Very tender and flavorful. It was served on a bed of angelhair. The marinara was amazing and had just a little kick. I asked for more in a separate bowl. I would definitely recommend eating here. read more

This is a new cute spot in the area. The food is delicious and the specials are a great deal. Tuesdays they have Taco specials and they are delicious. The Kale salad is amazing. Their service at the table and for carry out were both helpful and quick. I look forward to going back! read more

Make sure you stop here to eat when in Cornelius! The staff was beyond friendly and provided prompt service. Place was in a shopping plaza and was busy for lunch. All of our dishes provided large portions and tasted fresh and yummy! Prices were acceptable especially to the portions sizes. We will definitely be back soon! read more

Chicken salad was pretty good but ruined by very stale bread. Excessive amount of fries were given and tea was good. Friends burger was cooked proper and taste was good, also had excessive amo unt of fries given. Service was very poor as our server visible seemed bothered by our presence and rarely came by. Really good blackened chicken Caesar salad! I am usually worried to order grilled chicken out because it can be dry or chewy. This one was cooked perfectly and very flavorful! They put a lot of chicken and Parmesan cheese in the salad. It was really big too! I got the creamy garlic dressing instead of Caesar and I loved it. read more

My husband and I wasn't to sure about this place because we have had so many bad experiences with many restaurants out this way but we took a chance. Omg! The food was so delicious. The appetizer was awesome(guacamole and pimento cheese) Husband had the black and blue it was tender,juicy so flavorful. My shrimp dinner was amazing too.
