Giving a one star purely for the hostess with a tattoo on her arm was rude AF. The people before us she told 10-15 min wait. Then tells me and my family it's a 30 minute wait. I got a text 5 minutes later telling me to head to the hostess station which we did. She looks at us and then I get a text saying our table will be held for only 2 minutes and she processed to sit a couple who was behind us when we originally checked in. It's clean and spacious and pretty friendly with decent value, but a few problems. 1. That is not two eggs. That's 1.5 eggs tops. 2. I didn't know it would be funky toast. My own fault here though and should have asked if they had non-funky toast. 3. There was a nine-inch hair that I pulled out from the toast in front of the waitress. 4. They weren't going to do anything about the nine-inch hair until I mentioned it. 5. They gave me 20% off for the nine-inch hair. I didn't say anything but since it wasn't comped, they lost a customer and now everyone reading this knows about my nine-inch hair experience (wouldn't have mentioned it if comped meal). The three stars is for food. It is always excellent. The problem here is the online wait list. It is never ever accurate. Like to the point where you might as well not use it. Multiple times we have put our names on the list before leaving the house with a 30-45 mins quoted as the time. Get there almost 30 mins later. Walk in and I'm still 20th on the list. Happened today again. Waited 30 mins before leaving the house and got in and it was still another hour. The lady behind me had the same complaint. There is no point to it if it doesn't help and isn't at least close to accurate on the time. Biggest reason why we don't come or leave after checking in and finding out it made no difference to do this. We could still talk without shouting or straining to header. Our server was attentive and friendly but not obtrusive. She checked on us but didn't interrupt our conversation unnecessarily. Salad was also great, dressed perfectly, looked and tasted fresh. I ordered the crab avocado toast with over easy eggs. Eggs were perfect - cooked whites, medium runny yolks. Mashed avocado was both chunky and creamy. Lightly seasoned to let the avocado flavor shine. Some places make them too puréed which is a texture I don't like. The toast was thick, warm, lightly toasted. The whole thing was topped with crab flakes - the real stuff - and pickled red onions. First time I've ordered this here and loved it. I've been to the First Watch in Huntersville but this was a much better experience with the delicious food, exemplary service, and pleasant ambiance. read more

The service, while super friendly, is usually slow, and often the server will forget something. We were there on Sunday at 11:00 - a peak time for sure - but there was only one person at the register, and a line 10 people deep waiting to pay. Eggs up with set whites and green sprinkles in exactly too much butter; lightly seasoned tater blocks, browned and softened but still got a little tooth; large split biscuit with a generous pour of meaty gravy, spicy but not too spicy, thick but not too thick; not sure what's up with the dish o' ketchup though - maybe a carolinear thing? anyway, the food was delicious, the pace appropriate, coffee black, service attentive but not hovery. not sure about the overhead but it's seasonal and we're in season and it'll probably change with the weather. read more

This place is new and delicious. The menu offers so many choices and I want to try them all! The service was attentive and my questions were answered with ease. Had breakfast here for the first time. My hubby and I both ordered from the Fall Menu. I had the Pumpkin Pancake platter - it came with an egg and a chicken sausage patty. My hubs had the Brussel sprout, bacon, potato and egg concoction. He liked it, but wouldn't order it again. He wasn't a fan of Brussels for breakfast. The service was great! Everyone we came into contact with was extremely nice - we felt welcome and cared for. My only complaint is that they only offer sugar and stevia for coffee sweetener. I know other sweeteners are not great for you, but I only like Splenda in my coffee. I'll bring my own next time. Not a huge deal, just know to take your own if that's important to you. Nice interior, clean and modern. There's a nice patio area as well. read more

Host next to us told the host where to seat us. After 30 minutes we went to check our place on the list and they couldn't find us. Customers who arrived long after us were seated before us. Where is management? Nowhere to be found. Horrible experience and will never return to another First Watch and will recommend anyone I know against going due to the horrible service starting from the host stand. The Million Dollar potatoes were great, home fries with a tasty gravy and chopped bacon on top. Highly recommend you try this. Had the eggs Benedict. Hollandaise sauce was too heavy on the lemon, poached eggs were nearly raw, slice of tomato was unnecessary. The coffee was abysmal. It's been 20 years since the coffee revolution, there's really no excuse for bad coffee any more. Service was great, dining room is great, and even has a counter to sit at for the traditional coffee shop experience. The menu is creative, you can tell these guys are trying really hard. I have eaten at First Watch more than 5 times since their opening a few weeks ago. Although, depending on when you go, you might have to wait, I assure you it will be worth it. Mooresville lacks a consistently good elevated place for breakfast or brunch, so I was hoping that First Watch would fit that bill (and it does). First of all, the menu is amazing. Definitely start out with a Kale Tonic or a Tangerine Dream. Either are amazing. I've had the BLT Eggs Benedict, the Sausage Gravy and Biscuits, the Elevated Egg Sandwich and the Chickichanga. My husband has had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, the Yogurt Bowl and the Roast Beef Sandwich. The Sausage & Gravy Biscuits and the Chickichanga are my favorites. You definitely do not want to miss the Million Dollar Bacon....it's next level! Our service has always been great. Our servers were smiley, attentive and always ready with a good recommendation. Roger & Shannon have been our favorite servers so far. The restaurant is clean, nicely decorated and open-airy. Definitely a must-try in Mooresville. read more

First Watch restaurant is my new go to after my second time trying. I met a friend for brunch and knowing there may be a wait, we took the chance. The wait wasn't too bad for 11:00 am on a Saturday. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating (both times). This visit we both wanted to try the million dollar bacon which is 4 pieces of thick cut glazed and cooked with maple syrup, cayenne and black pepper. My friend and I both loved it! We both had an egg meal, hers with peppers and Italian sausage and I ordered the Italian rustica frittata. Everything so fresh and my gosh, we overdid it with the ooey, gooey, cheesy, delicious cheese grits! Not only is the food good but the dining area is super clean and very well maintained.
