We visited this location in August 2025 and I am just now getting around to finishing the review. We went for breakfast. The coffee was great, and while the service was a bit slow by New England standards, no complaints here. It was actually nice to slow down, especially while on vacation. The food had classic breakfast flavors and was solid overall. I especially enjoyed my latte, which was easily the highlight of the meal. My kids loved the Lego decorations throughout the space. While we waited for our food and the server, they had fun trying to spot all of them. It was a lovely added experience and made the wait feel shorter. Overall, a relaxed and enjoyable breakfast spot that works well for families and anyone looking to ease into their morning.

    Junkyard bowl - rubbery eggs

On a recent breakfast outing, my wife and I wanted to give them a try. Their eggs Benedict were just OK and the hollandaise sauce is more like pure butter without any acid. We also had junkyard (or something to that effect bowl) and it was just OK. The eggs both for the Benedict and the bowl were very rubbery for some reason. The atmosphere is outstanding, the service was excellent, but the food was just mediocre and for the prices, it was really expensive. There are lots of other breakfast places that offer superior quality food for the cost (or less expensive). Willing to give them one more try but not anytime soon. To those about to dine, we salute you!

Great breakfast spot Came in late morning on a weekday so it was quiet. The people were nice and the service was very good the food was great. GF got a bacon and egg breakfast sandwich that was very good. I got the Junkyard bowl all the way which was incredible. The iced coffee was fresh and very nice flavor.

Average. Not bad but nothing special. There are so many good breakfast spots around the area that this one did not stand out. Note: there are only about 8 tables inside. So get there early or plan on a wait. It's teeny in there! All the girls I interacted with from my carryout order were very nice :)

The food is always good. The waitress was friendly and offered some recommendations. The ambiance is a basic Cafe that is clean. We enjoy going there on the weekends

3.5 stars, rounding up, because Rise only uses pasture-raised eggs. My husband and I visited The Egg at this location a couple of times before the change in ownership to Rise Cafe, but everything with the transition was seamless. The menu is the same, except Rise has higher prices. We've visited here a few times since the change in ownership, and they are consistent. Rise has a small dining room, but since we eat earlier than most, we've never had trouble getting a table inside. I like the mixed grill omelette, which is an American cheese omelet with diced ham, bacon, and sausage. This omelette is FULL of meat, but the cheese is a bit sparse. I learned that cheddar can be used in place of American, so I'll ask for that the next time. I like their hash browns, especially since you can get shredded cheddar as a topping, or add onions and peppers. You also get toast, and I prefer their sourdough. (Note: They pre-butter the toast.) My husband likes their corned beef hash with over-medium eggs. While not a huge portion of corned beef, you can tell it's house-made, and it's delicious. He gets their homefries--served in soft cubes--which can be spruced up with cheese, onions, and peppers. Their English muffins are really good, too. I have to mention that this is the ONLY restaurant I know of that uses pasture-raised eggs from Vital Farms. The proof is in the beautifully orange yolks. We only use pasture-raised eggs at home, and appreciate that Rise serves only the best eggs. Service is friendly, and their food is freshly-made, so you may have to wait a few minutes before getting your food. But it's never been too long. The coffee is hot, but weak (in my opinion). I really prefer my brew to be stronger, and since the owner shared that they have espresso, I'll add a shot of espresso the next time. We will return!

We visited Rise for breakfast last weekend on the recommendation of my kids who said it was so yummy...and they were right! We arrived around 10 am, and of course, the place was packed. We opted to sit outside, and it was very windy. I can see that being a pleasant place to dine when the day is gorgeous. Because we were chilled, we ordered steaming cups of hot cocoa. What a decadent treat that was! So full of punchy chocolate creamy goodness! Our meals were delicious too. I had eggs, hashbrowns, ham and biscuits with gravy. Really yummy, but it was a lot of food, but I was able to share. We also tried pancakes, which were fantastic as well. Service was attentive and kind. My only complaint was the music they play. I always feel vaguely uncomfortable when religious music is playing. It is of course, their prerogative, but it seems like you might want to be a little more inclusive in 2024. Not uncomfortable enough to keep me from going back, mind you.

First time trying Rise on Mother's Day and it was a decent experience. We were seated quickly but had to wait a while for our food. Inside is small but there is also outdoor seating. We ordered the Iced Chai Tea Lattes, the Fried Green Tomato Bene with Hashbrowns, and the Junkyard. The Chai was pretty good but it comes with a ton of ice so it was watered down quickly. The Fried Green Tomato Bene was really good, but the hashbrowns were salty. They also gave out tasty mini deserts for Mother's Day. After getting our bill we were gifted a $5 off coupon for our next visit which was nice. Overall it was a good experience and I would visit Rise again.

After riding around trying to find a brunch spot on Mother's Day that did not have a 2 hour wait, we stumbled upon Rise Cafe. It's a cute little quaint spot. There is ample seating outside, a bar that seats around 7 and several tables inside against the wall. It would be hard to sit a large group of more than 5 or 6. We walked in and were immediately greeted. There was about a 10 minute wait for a table and we were promptly seated in about 10 mins. The ambiance was casual and artsy with a nice variety of Christian music playing in the background. We ordered the iced Chai Latte. It was good but had extremely too much ice. I'm not a fast drinker and like to drink along with my food. By the time our food came out the chai was watered down. It did take a while for the food to come out, we weren't in a rush, so that didn't matter much. I ordered the Junkyard with a pancake instead of toast. It's a bowl with hasbrowns, ham, sausage, salsa, mushrooms and gravy. It was nice and heat hot. This was actually a good combination, but the hasbrowns were extremely salty, and made it hard to enjoy. The pancake was in the shape of a heart, great touch, but it was cold to the touch. The butter would not melt. I would suggest keeping the pancake under a heat lamp until the entire dish is ready. For mothers Day, there was a complimentary homemade chocolate rose, filled with lemon custard, and raspberry sauce dessert and a $5 coupon for our next visit. Delicious! 10/10. That should be an option on the menu. Overall, the staff was friendly and checked on us a couple times. There are a ton of other menu items, if I were to return, I would try other options.

This is a conveniently located, quaint breakfast spot. While the inside is cozy there is outdoor seating. The service and timing were amazing! Our sever Fabiola was so sweet and had our order correct from start to finish. I ordered a veggie/western omelette with hashbrowns and subbed French toast. We finished with the Ultimate hot chocolate- I was literally licking the cup lol. I love that there were vegetarian options, the playlist was popping lol and you could honestly feel the love there.

Back again to enjoy the wonderful food prepared here. Instead of breakfast we tried their Lunch menu. They did not disappoint, their hot dog was delicious!

Let's talk FOOD. That omelet? Fluffy like it trained at egg boot camp. Stuffed with sausage, ham, bacon, cheese basically the Avengers of breakfast. The home fries were crispy golden cubes of perfection. Not soggy. Not greasy. Just straight-up breakfast excellence. The ham slices were thick and flavorful like they meant business. That biscuit sandwich? Soft, buttery, and holding everything together like a breakfast superhero. And those cheesy grits? Creamy enough to make you emotional. Add melted cheddar and it's basically Southern comfort in a bowl. Portions? Generous. Flavor? Elite. Coffee? Flowing like we were at a caffeine convention. Now let's talk about Jonathan Jonathan delivered AMAZING service. Attentive without hovering, friendly without being forced, and on top of everything like a breakfast conductor running a delicious orchestra. Drinks stayed filled, food came out hot, and he made sure our whole crew felt taken care of. That kind of service turns a good meal into a great experience. The vibe inside? Busy, lively, happy breakfast energy everywhere. You can tell this is a spot people return to again and again. Final verdict: We came hungry. We left full. We left smiling. And yes... we'll be back. This spot delivers exactly what it promises, making it a reliable choice for the area. To start, the coffee was great--hot, fresh, and strong. For my main dish, I opted for a Western omelette. It was perfectly fine, a solid choice, if not spectacular. My husband had the egg, bacon, cheese breakfast sandwich and thoroughly enjoyed it. The only reason I'm docking a star is for the side of corn muffins I ordered. They were, unfortunately, a complete letdown. They were hard, dry, and truly tasted like small stones. Even piling on the soft, fresh butter couldn't save them. However, the excellent service and the positive experience with the main dishes and coffee easily outweigh one bad side item. We had a good meal overall, and I would definitely go back again (and just skip the corn muffins next time!).

First, we arrived at about 8:30am and there was about 3 other parties already seated. After being setting, we waited about ten minutes before anyone came over to offer coffee or a menu ; as I watch all of the wait staff in back just having, which looked like a bunch of chatter because something was very funny to them them all. I felt it odd that 3 to 4 tabletops were covered with dirty dishes. They definitely had not been pre-bussed and no one had been to the table since the customers had left. There was clearly not a bus person anywhere to be seen. It was a gorgeous morning and we sat outside for about 20 minutes or so, and nobody had greeted us. One waitress walked by our table, but didn't say a word another waitress saw the mess on the patio and came out and started cleaning, but also did not greet us. I detest complaining, but after losing at paper, rock, scissors, I was definitely the one who had to go in and address the issue. I finally went inside to ask if the waitstaff knew that we were seated outside. The blonde lady behind the register said she did not know who our wait person was and that she was trying to find out at that moment. We waited patiently for at least 10 to 15 more minutes and finally my boyfriend went in and asked the same question. Unfortunately, he was given the very same answer that I was roughly 15 minutes earlier. Finally, a waitress appeared and apologized and stated that nobody had told her that she had a table on the patio. Things were looking up, so I thought. She brought the drinks that we had ordered and placed our breakfast order. Then delivered the drinks, but we had nothing to mix sugar into the coffee. I returned inside the restaurant once again and requested a spoon to stir the sugar. There was a counter full of silverware that was sitting right next to the register, but the blonde lady said that she would have to have someone bring me a spoon. By the time we finally got the spoon the coffee had started to cool. Our breakfast arrived shortly after and the waitress looked at us and asked if we needed anything else. We mentioned that we did not have any silverware and she said that she would be right back. Again, we waited for what felt like an eternity and then went inside and retrieved silverware. My boyfriend was standing at the counter again, waiting on the lady with the blonde hair and in the meantime, the waitress finally did appear with utensils, but breakfast was already getting cold. The taste of the food was good. The portions were generous, but my last bite had a portion of the avocado seed that causing me to cough until almost gagging. I don't like to leave negative reviews! Something was definitely off today. It felt as though there was not a manager at this location and that at least 1 bus person called in sick. This might have been the first day for the lady with the blond hair working the counter at First Watch. I am so disappointed! There are numerous restaurants that we could've chosen to have breakfast at this morning. I dare say that I've had a much better experience at the local Waffle House.

My server was amazing as we (Im)patiently waited for him. I ordered the roasted beet tower to start. My husband's only complaint was chasing the tiny beets around the plate (first world problems) I chose to have a cup of their creamy chicken soup. No rice, no potato filler - cream based, fresh chicken mushrooms and carrots danced around my mouth. Topped with Gruyère (I think) each bite was like a rich warm hug from grandma Our entrees arrived in a timely manner - him having the ahi tuna poke bowl. He chose to substitute the rice for mixed greens. He devoured the entree and noted the tuna being sweet for the longer sear - his fault, he forgot to ask for it to be cooked extremely rare or done raw, poke style as it was to be a poke bowl which is typically served raw. I chose the harvest bowl. A base of rice and quinoa topped with Brussel sprouts, beets, greens, goat cheese, and butternut squash. I chose to add grilled shrimp. Holy cow. I felt like all of the vegetables were home grown from the chef's garden. Perfectly roasted and seasoned. An impressive rice/quinoa topped vegetable ratio exceeded all expectations!!!

Despite the crowd and line, the employees moved quickly and kindly. Pleasantries were still exchanged and things made-to-order were out in a timely manner. The people here work very hard. It's a hectic job but they do it well and they do it without sacrificing small niceties or helpfulness. The interior was nice, too. Tables were kept clean and there was a nice area for little ones to occupy themselves while parents enjoyed their drink and meal. Books, some plushies, and pretend-play toys were there. No tablets or items that could make them hyper. I very much enjoyed my experience after a hard night and morning. Thank you to everyone that works at Cocotte for showing up and staying kind. With tip, for two people you can expect to spend around $35. Not a terrible price for a great brunch experience with great environment + people. I recommend 100%. Though, maybe come early in the morning while everything is fresh. Others have different experiences late in the day it sounds like.

I actually went in to buy a Napoleon but there weren't any. I was told they don't make them all the time. I purchased a chocolate eclair instead. Very fresh and quite large. I'd like to try the food next time I visit. Everything looked delicious from other customers in the cafe.

This is a nice restaurant situated in a little old single-story house that faces onto an inner courtyard in the old part of Huntersville. Breakfast, lunch, and a full bar pretty much can take care of whatever you're looking for. The main dining room is furnished with an eclectic assortment of mismatched chairs and tables, but it all seems to work. There is also a short bar for those eating alone. Kids are welcome, and they even have a box of toys for kids to amuse themselves with while others dine. Everyone in our group had some kind of breakfast offering ... and they offered some really creative choices. Service was on point, and everything came out together and hot. The only misstep was the lack of onion on one order. Coffee was hearty. They have a lot of outdoor seating in back facing the courtyard, and even some in the front yard: these outdoor arears effectively double the seating capacity of the restaurant, and both are totally dependent on the weather. We wouldn't hesitate to return. Recommended.

Went in tonight with my husband for a nice dinner, and this place has been on my "must-try" list…read morefor a while now... and let me tell you--it did NOT disappoint From the moment we walked in, the space itself set the tone. It's absolutely beautiful inside--warm, cozy, and intimate in a way that makes you feel like you've stepped into a little escape Perfect for a date night or a relaxed evening out. We were seated pretty quickly, which is always a great start. Our server, Ashlene, was an absolute gem Her sweet personality and warm smile made the whole experience even better. She was knowledgeable, attentive, and gave some really great recommendations (we love a server who knows their stuff ). We kicked things off with drinks I had the spiced cherry mule, and my husband ordered a margarita--both were genuinely delicious and well-made. For starters, we shared the artisan bread (perfectly done, soft with just the right texture ) and a shrimp cocktail. The only tiny note: the cocktail sauce was a little on the bitter/strong side, so just go easy with it When it came time for the main course, my husband kept it light, but I went with Ashlene's recommendation--the Cajun chicken pasta--and WOW They make their pasta fresh (HELLO YES ), and it was flavorful, creamy, and not dry at all. To wrap things up, we shared the Budino for dessert and it was the perfect sweet ending. We both loved it. Overall, such a great experience from start to finish. Beautiful atmosphere, amazing food, and standout service--definitely a spot we'll be coming back to

The filet also had no flavor and the mashed tasted like absolutely nothing. The salads that came on our plate were covered in blue cheese, which I can't stand. So I barely ate it. The drinks and chocolate cake (which was $7 more) were the highlight of the night. The server was great. Patient and really friendly. The stocky, middle aged man walking the floor all night, coming up to tables multiple times asking how everything is was....odd. Leave us alone to enjoy our meal. Go run food or drinks or maybe help season those awful mashed potatoes.

He heard good reviews so i figured he knows me well, so why not. As soon as I went in, I was greeted and seated. The menu looked great but I was stuck between 2 items. The waitress encouraged me to get both and even substituted my pancakes. Everything tasted great and it took no time for me to receive my order. The Caramel Apple Crisp Pancakes were amazing, even though I should have asked for syrup, it was great without it. I also tried the Coastal Crab Cake Benny with grits and I was full right after. The ambience reminded me of home, everyone appeared to talk with everyone, it wasn't loud, the waiters and waitresses were speaking to customers like they knew them for years. I will definitely return and try some other items, but I definitely recommend anyone to go!

All of it is super modern, clean, and well designed. Now onto the food specifically - I heard it was really good so I decided to order some lunch. My only complaint is there's no way to order online so I had to call my order in. I got a burger and fries, chicken wings, and guacamole. The burger was great, I have no complaints at all, and the fries were fresh and flavorful. The wings were jumbo and juicy. I don't think I'll order the barbalo sauce next time, but other than that the wings were amazing. They come with fresh celery and carrots and blue cheese/ranch. Overall I was impressed. And the guacamole was fresh, chunky, and tasted great. The chips were good too, honestly no complaints and would order again. Overall I was surprised how good the food is here being a pickleball facility. The restaurant area is honestly much nicer than most restaurants in the Lake Norman area and I wouldn't think twice about taking someone here for lunch. Everything feels well run, thought out, and I'm glad to see it looks like they're growing fast. I showed up on a Tuesday afternoon and the parking lot was full to the brim - I honestly thought they must be sharing parking with someone else but no, it was just as full of people on the inside.
