The service is excellent. The waitress couldn't have been more accommodating! I haven't been here in a while, and they have added more booths tables for when they're crowded! But I quit going because the food just wasn't good anymore, but I had a long morning and I didn't want to drive to my usual place as it was further away so I decided to go to the Sweet spot a try again, oh what a mistake! They now charge you $.65 for vegetables that you add to the omelette! I want grits, but the grits are only instant to come out of a package! If you do breakfast every day, go ahead and make a pot of grits. It's not that hard!!' It wasn't crowded in there, but my omelette came out just horrible. Obviously the person in the back doesn't know how to cook. It was brown. It was greasy. It was practically burnt on the bottom. It was just nasty as you can see by the picture! Makes me remember I quit going there and I definitely will not be coming back! They need to do better like their sister restaurant right next-door Pippa's! read more

I took my family who was visiting from out of town here on the 4th of July. It was a party of 5 and automatically the 20% gratuity was included. We like to tip on top of the added gratuity but in this case we didn't. The server did bare minimum. We asked for 1 water and she didn't bother to ask if anyone else wanted one . Overall the service was lack luster. Pro: The food came out fresh and was OKAY but I've had better . We won't be back . read more

Came here for a late breakfast and had a good experience overall. The service was friendly, and our food came out quickly. Everything tasted good, though the biscuits could definitely use some improvement. In North Carolina, a breakfast spot should really have outstanding biscuits. That said, the pancakes were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. I'd definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

I took my mom to the Sweet Spot for breakfast and I have to say I was a little underwhelmed.. Our server was Amelia and she was pretty much doing everything; she was waiting tables, cleaning tables, and seating people and with so much on her plate some things slipped through the wayside. We ordered chicken & waffles, which came out hot, fresh and were very tasty, but the coffee was definitely a little weak and needed an expresso shot, but the Expresso machine was not working. They have an array of Java drinks on the menu board, but with one of the main pieces of equipment down selections were limited. The tables still had dishes and leftover food on them and needed to be cleaned but surprisingly the bathroom was in good shape. I'm not counting them out and I would definitely give them another try if I was in the Huntersville area. read more

We wanted some coffee and the Sweet Spot popped up as an option we never had so we decided to try it out. Since we originally only went for coffee and decided we wanted food once we got there, this ended up being a to go order experience. The server that helped us was nice and the place had a few people in it for a weekday morning, but wasn't busy and we didn't have to wait to long for our coffee and food. I ordered a latte, it was fine. Nothing spectacular but it hit the spot. I also ordered pancakes and bacon. When we got home the first thing I noticed was my 2 pancakes were huge and fluffy, so that was a plus. I also noticed my order of bacon was supposed to be 4 pieces and was actually like 8. So, that was really fun! The reason for my 3 star review is because that beautiful surprise double order of bacon also had a surprise piece of thick long black hair.... That really put a damper on the food mood once I saw it. I saw it after the fact so, yes I had already eaten most of my food. The hair was in the bacon box on the extra slices. Can't say I'll be going back to this spot any time soon. read more

I wanted to like it but it's really not worth the quality to price. Drive a little further for proper breakfast. Service was friendly but slow but looks like they hire high school staff so not a deal breaker. The food was bland and this could be such an incredible place to eat if they stepped it up. Breakfast is so challenging to mess up. read more

It's been awhile since I last ate at the Sweet Spot. I will be the first to admit that my expectations were pretty low. However, I was shocked to see that they were packed on a Sunday morning. Thankfully we were able to be seated immediately at what looked to be the last available table. I took that as a good sign. We sat for awhile before our server came to greet us. We hadn't realized that the menu was via a QR code on the table. Once I pulled it up, I was pleasantly surprised to see a menu that was a bit more elevated than the traditional diner food that I remembered before. Just a note that the menu definitely favors carnivores. I ordered the Cali Breakfast Bowl but switched out the cheese and asked for my bacon on the side, which I gave to my son. My daughter ordered the fruit crepe. My son was happy to take advantage of the gluten free French toast. The food was good. My kids ordered an iced chai with oat milk and a hot chocolate with oat milk. Neither were blown away. So I probably would stick to basic drinks like juice or coffee. All of the servers appeared to be high school/ college girls. They were all polite. I have no issues with returning again in the future. read more

The inside, quite appropriately, looks like coffee shop. Indeed there is a section of the restaurant devoted to being a coffee shop. My daughter and I stopped here for breakfast. She ordered a chicken sandwich and I ordered the biscuit and gravy bowl. We also both ordered a side of grits. There were a few shortcomings with service that I would not have expected as I have found those to be rather standard for a sit down restaurant. For instance, there was no creamer on the table. We had to ask for it. Then when I asked if the scrambled eggs were from fresh eggs, as opposed to poured out of a carton, the waitress smirked at the suggestion. The grits were not creamy and did not come with butter. When I asked for butter I was given some sort of butter substitute which tasted awful. Finally, we were only given one refill of our coffee during the meal. That being said, my daughter enjoyed her sandwich and seemed to like what she was served there. I was not terribly impressed, however, and don't plan to return anytime soon. read more

We went to The Sweet Spot on a Friday morning around 10am. We were greeted quickly and placed a to-go order at the counter. The server was friendly and knowledgeable. We had an omelet, Nashville Scrambler Breakfast Bowl, and basic scrambled eggs and bacon. We enjoyed everything. The Breakfast Bowl had Nashville hot sauce which was so good. It had a sweet element and smoky spicy ness to follow. The restaurant is a small place but so homey and relaxing. Lots of soft lighting as well. Can't wait to try other menu items. read more

THEY ARE STEALING PEOPLES MONEY & THEY BLATANTLY LIED TO OUR FACES. I placed an order over the phone today & during the call she said that she was only able to take payment over the phone, not when I got to the restaurant. I paid the fee & upon retrieving my food I noticed that a gratuity fee had been added to my bill. When I made them aware of this they brought out the manager & he appeared to have an attitude. He then proceeded to tell me that there was nothing he could do because the food was already prepared and he stated that information about being charged gratuity for orders placed over the phone was located on their website. I then went to the website to verify this information and it was NO WHERE to be found. This will be my first and last time coming to this establishment. Their attitudes are very lackadaisical and rude. read more

Almost empty restaurant. Semi full staff. 4 filled tables.... After long wait, someone from the bar area finally said seat ourselves. Ordered drinks, did not receive menus. Didn't know menus are only available thru QR code because no one mentioned it or even where to find menus.. Overheard it (while waiting forever for water and coffee) from another waitress who sat the table long after us. Coffee was bitter and couldn't eat pancakes - no flavor at all beyond bread. Syrup was watered down so much, it was no longer sweet nor represented maple flavor. If food was good, I could easily overlook the service. But food was below a 1 star rating except for the bacon, which was a 10. Menu says "all items ordered will remain on your check" so my advice is don't bother complaining, just pay the bill and don't return. read more

Was in Concord running errands and wanted a good hearty breakfast. So decided to try them out. Wait was over 30min since such a small place and was pretty crowded. I got the omelette/pancake combo. Basic, bland food for high end price. They are also famous for hair in food. No reason to go there ever again.

Great service! Great food! DISAPPOINTED they no longer accept Clover where you could receive $5.00 off the current meal from your previous meal payment. 50 points = $5.00 off. I have 500 points. I hate shitty changes. read more

This establishment deserves a NEGATIVE 10 for a rating. THEY ARE SNEAKILY STEALING MONEY!!!! After walking in to pick up the order I noticed NO ONE in the kitchen was wearing hair nets which should have been a sign. My daughter paid for the food but wasn't able to go inside to get it so I planned to do so. After retrieving the food & receipt I noticed a gratuity was added. I was puzzled because I HAVE NEVER seen a restaurant add this to a called in/pick up order. And it WAS NOT mentioned on the phone. She had the entire conversation on speaker for me to hear our orders being placed. I brought it to my daughter's attention because she paid for our food. She was not happy and asked that I get a refund. If there is no transparency about the service charge being added, then it is illegal for a restaurant to do so. And that is considered stealing by adding additional charges/money without informing the person. I explained my complaint/concern and the manager was brought out. IMMEDIATELY his body language was all wrong and he appeared bothered. He wasn't happy about my complaint but I voiced my concerns about the gratuity being added without us knowing. He said(quote) "it is on our website" AND "there isn't anything I can do because the food was already cooked ". WORST, UNPROFESSIONAL response you can get from a manager!! Basically, he didn't care and he wasn't ashamed to show it. He then asked his employee if she made the caller (my daughter) aware and she BLATANTLY LIED and said yes. I confronted her and told her she did not disclose anything about an added gratuity and stood my ground. She then admitted she didn't say this and apologized. The issue IS NOT about money as the amount didn't break our banks. And I never mind paying for anything up front as long as I know beforehand. It is about the company not disclosing this information, having an attitude when it is brought to their attention, the employee back peddling and lying (not taking responsibility/ownership) until she realized I was not goi g to sway my words AND the bogus, bothered manager. To top things off, on the website it has this message - "Please be kind and respectful to our staff. They are working hard to take care of each and every customer ". I'm the 1st to say THIS IS THE BIGGEST LIE that could have ever been displayed. The employees are not kind nor respectful, but have the AUDACITY to place those words on their website. I don't understand how you would be rude/disrespectful to someone but EXPECT different reciprocity. And to add to all of this. The food is mediocre and flavorless. I will not be returning to this restaurant. read more

Get an omelette and the home fries. That's it. That's the post. Just kidding... but seriously, I've come to this place for years and I think they have some of the best omelettes. The service is sometimes hit or miss, but they are extremely generous with their omelette fillings (meat and veggies). The portion size is huge and I always have leftovers. The home fries are also some of the best. Again, generous portion size and they are seasoned well with peppers and onions. Service was fantastic and food was great. We had a family group of 6 and we got a variety of brunch options on a Sunday. Our server Stacey, was fun, attentive, and took great care of us. A couple of us got omelets, which were nicely filled with our selected fillings. My wife got Avocado Toast, which was very fresh and tasty, topped with scrambled eggs. The two kids in our group got waffles with banana and strawberries, along with some toast and hash browns. They gobbled it all up! A few of us also got the home fries. They are tasty with a decent mix of veggies added. The serving sizes of these was huge! We really enjoyed it and there are lots of coffee and ice cream options if you're in that mood. read more

Busy for a Sunday Brunch and a bit of wait but worth it. Went last Sunday from Brunch and while it was busy and we had to wait a bit, they did an excellent job of moving things so the wait was totally tolerable and understood. We were seated promptly and given our menu's and our server came back shortly but we had still not digested the menu items. We did not realize they do not served a Lunch Menu of Sunday which was a disappointment for my wife who was looking forward to Meatloaf. Stick with the Breakfast Menu. I had the Biscuits and Gravy which were good but not outstanding. Biscuits had a bit of doughy consistency and the gravy was very neutral. The Hash browns which were my side were good but would have like them to be cooked a bit more on the flat top. Should have asked that myself up from. Wife enjoyed the Waffle with Blueberries and the side of Bacon was good. It's really a good place from Brunch if a traditional Brunch is what you are looking for. Will have to go back some other time and try a Lunch Menu so my wife can have her Meatloaf read more

This was our last meal in Concord since our vacation was coming to an end. Service was good. Prompt, friendly (bordering too much chit-chat), attentive. The atmosphere is that of a regular diner; nothing unique that stands out. Definitely a little dirtier than I'd prefer (my youngest dropped her sunglasses onto the floor under our table; they landed in a pile of old eggs). I love a good, strong, fresh cup of coffee - especially in the morning. After taking a sip of my coffee, and then my salty ice water, I looked at my eldest and said: "if the food is anything like the drinks, we're screwed." Lol. The coffee was weak to say the least. It literally tasted as though old grounds had been run through several times over until there was nothing left to brew from them. Breakfast took a while to be served which is a bit unexpected considering there were only 3 total tables and the chicken tenders, biscuit and gravy were obviously premade/prepped and likely came frozen. Overall the food wasn't bad, but it wasn't great for sure. This is run of the mill, basic, you-can-make-this-at-home, breakfast. I will say the scrambled eggs were really good, but the over-medium were way overdone. If you visit with the right expectations, you won't be disappointed. read more

To start off, if you want good food. You're better off going to the hospital cafeteria. For the money spent, you might as well have cooked at home. My boyfriend and I wanted something new for breakfast/brunch. We both got shredded hash browns with our meals, and they were tasteless. No seasoning. No crisp or crunch. They felt fake as hell. The scrambled eggs on his sandwich were flat and nasty. I ordered a iced latte with double shot to make it less milky. They literally brought me caramel flavored milk. It was whiter than my ass. I just kindly let her know it wasn't my preference if I could get it taken off and she told me that they couldn't take it off but get me something else. So I paid $5 a plain cup of coffee , since I was worried about getting a specialty drink. The waitress otherwise was super nice and attentive. The sweet host and our waitress was the best part of the visit. Everything else was a 0 out of 10. read more
