I haven't had a good dirty chai in a while so I'm glad I ran across this shop. It's extremely cute and welcoming with plenty seating options inside and out. The icing on the cake is that you can get a nice size cup of coffee for the bare minimum in price. That's pretty rare these days. The barista was very friendly and informative when I told her this was my first time. Thankfully this is close to work so I'll be stopping here quite often. There also a rewards program. read more

I would like to start off by saying the food, staff and ambiance is excellent, some staff members are more friendly and outgoing than others. What I did notice was the way the staff was treated, I find it very disrespectful and demeaning to talk down to the staff is who is making you wealthy. Everyone should be treated the same and if you have something to say do it in private. I witnessed a staff member get very embarrassed why being spoken to by the owner in a very humiliating manner. You don't even pay them what they are worth $2 hour, come on that doesn't even buy a gallon of milk or gas. I will not be returning to the place friends and I have enjoyed coming to for food and wine, we will find somewhere else to go. And maybe take your staff with us. read more

Fun stop on our way down to CLT! Enjoyed the mimosa flight, garlic cheese bread and caprese panini. Good place to sit and relax. Small but cute and cozy space. If I lived closer, I would be a regular here. It's incredibly comfortable and they have such a wide variety of options for food if you want something light or heavier. The staff is incredibly kind, and the chef actually gave me some mustard made from scratch to take home for my Cuban-food loving partner to try! Because I said I knew he would be excited about the Cuban on their menu. The wine list is extensive and impressive. I got the brown sugar latte, and it was great! What a great, family owned place! I got the half sammie and soup $11.50. I chose the grilled 3 cheese that was so cheesy, the bread gave way before the cheese. The tomato bisque was very flavorful and the balsamic drizzle was a wonderful touch. I ate every bite. My Aunt got the half sammie and side salad. She chose the Turkey Gouda as her sandwich. We celebrated my birthday here tonight and it was perfect. We were greeted upon walking in and everyone was so warm. It's a small business owned by a husband and wife that love doing what they do. The weather was nice so we sat on the patio which had plenty of space. We ended up ordering the rosé flight and a small charcuterie board to start then moved on to entrees and the red wine flight. The salmon was delicious as well as the harvest flatbread with chicken! Our flights included 2 oz of 4 various wines then you chose your favorite out of those and get a complementary glass. A review I should have done a while ago, but Grounds & Vine is certainly a hidden gem in the area. I have now been a handful of times for both lunch and dinner (I have not been yet for breakfast or coffee) and I have had a great meal each time! While not huge, the space is cozy and has enough room for what it is inside. During the wintertime a nice fireplace to make it cozy and a decent size patio for the warmer months! Service here is great! All of the servers are pleasant and knowledgeable, and I think the owner/chef has come out each time I have been there to check on everything and to let you know about other things on the menu for next time! Each meal I have had there is very good for a place that really is more catered to coffee and wine! I have had a few different sandwiches, flat breads, and my wife's favorite is certainly the asian meatballs! They have a decent range of options and all are great and consistent each time I have been. If you need help making a choice on the menu, my favorite sandwich is the Triple G. I love the sauce on it which is both sweet and hot! Give Grounds & Vine a try if you are in the area and I think you will very happy with both the service and the food! read more

Great family owned small restaurant. Stopped by for a business lunch. We ate outside on the patio. I had the Concord Sammie and half salad. Mark had the chicken salad sandwich. Tried Grounds and Vine today for a quick breakfast and coffee and was not disappointed! I had a gingerbread latte and the ham and cheese croissant and they were great. I want to come back for lunch and wine sometime because the options looked pretty solid. It's a really cute place and the staff was nice. Prices seemed very fair. The ONLY negative thing I have to say is it's tough getting back to 85 after. I ended up just taking back roads over to Odell school road to get home. I'm adding Grounds & Vine to my list of local favorites! I absolutely loved our first visit. They literally did everything right. 1. The drinks and food were great. We around lunchtime. I ordered a Chai Latte that tasted amazing. I also ordered the Turkey & Gouda sandwich that was perfectly made. As much as I liked my meal, my husband's Mexican Street Flatbread blew my mind. It was SOO good. 2. The entire staff was genuinely friendly. You can tell they're just "people" people. Our waitress greeted us as soon as we walked in and was very attentive through the whole visit. The owners even came out to speak to us. I'm sure they do it for all the guests, but they really made us feel special. Other highlights: The prices are pretty reasonable. G&V looks great and I wish I actually got to try it. We stood at the front waiting for 10 minutes without being acknowledged. I understand if you're busy but even a "one moment" would have been nice. It felt like the 2 employees today were doing everything to not acknowledge us. We had a group of 4 and 2 other people behind just waiting for 10+ minutes without a word. The food was five star. The owner and chef greeted us and spent a few minutes to get to know us. He gave us a sample of his BBQ sauce after finding out my wife was from Texas. The complex sweet full flavor followed by a soft heat met my wife's approval. They use quality ingredients. I had the Reuben, a special for the day. The corned beef was excellent, not stringy, a common problem if you don't know how to cut the meat. The cheese was melted on the inside and slightly crispy on the outside along with the perfectly toasted bread. My wife had a flatbread pizza with sliced apples, blue cheese and bacon bits. This was a delicious and sweet combination that was to die for. The blue cheese was soft and not to overpowering. Another sign of quality ingredients. My daughter had the salmon. She devoured the perfect portion that came with a remoulade sauce that my picky child loved. My only critique is on the asparagus that came with the salmon. It was a little wilted and the pepper seasoning can be a little strong for those that don't like a lot of pepper. As the name suggests, they have a large wine selection. We rarely drink, but the vibe I got just walking into the restaurant made me want to try a glass of a local North Carolina Childress blackberry sweet wine. It had a soft sweet flavor, perfect for someone who does drink wine frequently but looking to experience a local flavor. This is the well kept secret that is inviting and intimate, with a quiet and simple setting. Their prices are very reasonable. Honestly they should be charging more as I felt it was a steal to walk out easily under $90 for a family of four (two teen girls). Keep in mind that included one glass of wine that was priced under $10. read more

Great hidden gem if you love coffee,  wine,  pizza, soup... anything edible! We have gone for brunch twice now. Their coffee options are great. I'm a Chai Latte guy and they make a good. Now, I haven't been to many coffee places that have mouthwatering Flatbreads. Their street corn Flatbread is one of a kind.  The location is great with a cozy indoor space and a nice outdoor extension. The owners are super friendly. I had a great birthday lunch here today with my sister. The weather was great so we took advantage of the outdoor seating. We ordered the charcuterie board for 2 and the Harvest Flatbread pizza with chicken. The charcuterie board was satisfactory, not the best I've ever had. The pita chips were hard and tasteless but the rest was certainly ok. The flatbread pizza however was amazing! It came out hot and perfectly loaded with the described ingredients. And our waiter was awesome as well as the young lady that greeted us. I will definitely be back to try more. read more

Our first experience at grounds & vine was great - the owner was there and was very friendly. the food was delicious. upon returning my second time, just last week, the experience was different. I waited over 40 minutes for a SANDWICH to be made when I was told it'd be 15-20 minutes. I decided to try the small cheese board and really couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it. The packaging is misleading - when I saw it in the bag - I thought oh wow this cheese board (my very first one in NC) is going to be SO GOOD!!!! well, upon opening the package I was sooo disappointed. I couldn't believe this was it, I mean, even if let's say the packaging wasn't meant to be filled maybe the way the cheese and other food is laid out could be different so it doesn't look as empty? I also asked for extra jam and didn't get any as you can see. The pita chips with the cheese board are delicious tho! read more

Friendly most of the time ish, sometimes you feel like you're bothering them or not really welcome, like you walked in someone's home accidentally. Most of the time I do not get speedily acknowledged by the barista's and they move so so so slow sometimes, but the latte is delicious and the place is very convenient. Did dinner here once and I found the ambience a little harsh bright lights not romantic for dinner, and the food overpriced, but the wine selection is really good and is a small business so I will support it. read more

Amazing little place! Great food, service and nice atmosphere. We've eaten here several times in recent months. We've had a couple of the sandwich specials, the veggie sammie and the salmon dinner. All were delish! The owners are so nice! You immediately feel welcome and wonder if you should know them because they are so nice and authentic. There's an outdoor seating area that's doggie friendly. We've also had breakfast - I had the avocado toast which was very tasty and the coffee was very good. They it - you won't be disappointed.
