As a lover of food halls, I drove from Charlotte to Concord to give this one a try. It's very much out of the city proper area and a bit removed from the Concord Mills area as well. I opted to try the Thai food stall. It was not good nor was it authentic. I tried the drunken noodles and at best - this dish was solid 4/10. It was rice noodles tossed in some sauce with peppers and some salted shrimp. My noodles were gooped together. There was not much flavor or value for what I paid. There's also a taco place here but can't speak to how good it is or not. I would not recommend.

And when I sent an email telling this story this is the email I received.

Despite Good Food, We Won't Be Back A dozen adult family members from across the Charlotte and Concord areas gathered at The Mill to celebrate two family birthdays. We all ordered food and drinks from the vendors, and the experience started off well. In place of birthday cake, the two birthday girls had requested homemade lemon bars. We placed them on the table alongside the food and beverages we purchased from the vendors. While we were still enjoying our meal, a representative from The Mill approached our table and informed us that "outside food" was not allowed and we had to either remove the dish or leave. We understand and respect general policies regarding outside food, but this situation called for some discretion and basic courtesy. The lemon bars were clearly not a competing item--they were a personal, celebratory gesture. The birthday girls were disappointed, and the family member who made the lemon bars was embarrassed and hurt. Passing out Lemon Bars in 100° heat in the parking lot is just not the same. This action came across as inflexible, uninformed, and inconsiderate. It reflected very poorly on the management. Although our food and service was great, none of us plan to return.

After pulling in the parking lot for the Deport at Gibson Mill, we both needed to use the restroom and wanted something sweet. This market space is setup like a smaller food hall with a game room area for the kids (or adults). Downstairs there is a pub space that features games, etc. which we did not check out. The restrooms were clean and well appointed. We decided to each get a cookie at Cara's Cookies before checking out the Depot. If you stop in be sure to check out their offerings!

We grabbed some amazing lunch from Kuni's Kitchen! Really good!!

Just visited again last night with a great friend of mine for a late dinner, and this place still has all the magic it had the first time I came here! I'd say it's even more vibrant and fun at night-time! There were lots of people there, but the lines moved quickly and the space is large enough for plenty of people to enjoy eating/hanging out both inside and outside! I was sad to see that the bao bun place that was here my last visit had been removed. It was so good!!!! My friend and I walked around, looking at all the options...you can visit the bar or coffee shop, ice cream, a seafood bar/grill, a cookie place...or you can grab some tacos, Barbeque, Puerto Rican cuisine, or pizza. Lots of great options to choose from. My friend and I opted to try something new, the Puerto Rican place! We looked over the menu, so many yummy and unique choices to consider! There was also a screen showing pictures of each item, which helped! After asking the people who work there about their favorites, we ordered! I got the mojo pork plate with yucca fries and fried plantains! It comes with rice and beans! Everything was so juicy and flavorful!!! So much seasoning and love went into this dish!!!! Definitely recommend the mojo pork and the yucca fries!!!!! Delicious! My friend ordered the jerk chicken wings with avocado fries. The chicken was amazing! Packed with flavor!!! Juicy!!!!! Everything you want in some good chicken wings, and that sauce was bomb!! The place was very clean and the staff was kind and helpful. Grateful we got to visit the Gibson Mill Market again, and enjoy some amazing food and meet some nice people as well!! Check it out!!!!! Highly recommend!!!

This food hall seems to have a little bit of everything. They have a brewery downstairs and another in the parking lot. They're also by the depot so it's a perfect spot to spend the day. You can try some new and different foods and do some shopping. I tried the icecream spot churn while I was there.

Old renovated mill with restaurants and a brewery. Not entirely occupied by tenants but there's still a good bit of options, food wise. There's nice coffee shop too!

For lunch today I met my line sister in Concord at Gibson Mill Market. This food hall is small and quaint. We went to Johnny Rogers BBQ & Burgers. I got the G.O.A.T burger with goat cheese and sweet potato fries. This burger is delicious! The Hall was clean and all the people were friendly. There are several places to choose from and they have a full bar. For those coffee lovers there's a spot for you too. If you have a sweet tooth there is ice cream and a cookie shop. The whole place is a vibe if you like to go antique shopping you can do that too. Family friendly great place to hang out with the family. I almost forgot they have outdoor seating and every so often the train will come through.

As a New Yorker we have our share of markets/food halls and OH fits the familiar script, with a slightly smaller footprint than what I've experienced. What never seems to change is that securing seating can be a challenge because all spots are "prime" real estate and the abundance of choices is an indecisive person's nightmare. Nonetheless, to all the foodies at heart those are just minor details for mere mortals... lol. We managed to grab a larger enough table and everyone circled until we made our individual choices and then returned to our central meeting spot to break bread and indulge in all of our finds. We enjoyed several of the eateries we experienced and I was particularly intrigued by the plant store (albeit kinda pricey). Return is a no brainer especially for the places that were most memorable. Just A Note: Parking is not free, payment is required. Please not depending on the time of day it can be crowded so securing a spot will require patience.

The restaurant is less than half full--four-tops and booths sitting empty as far as the eye can see. Meanwhile, every single traveler is wedged (ironically) into these tiny little two-tops that are about one-third shorter than a normal table. The very people most likely to need space are the ones being denied it. That's the whole reason solo travelers walk into places like this: space, a real table, somewhere to eat and knock out a little work between flights. So I ask politely if I could have a larger table. I'm told they're "for larger parties." I ask if I could sit in a booth. Same answer, delivered in that polite-but-pointed, bless-your-heart Southern tone. Darl'n. It gets better. The other half of the restaurant is even emptier. I ask again. Same answer. Different server. Same script. A small parade of hospitality lemmings. On my way out, the hostess suddenly notices the obvious: empty tables everywhere. She "finds" me a four-top. Moments later, she does the same for another single diner. Then another. Review for Charlotte Premium Outlets…read more After relocating to Charlotte from the San Francisco Bay Area, I've kept my same philosophy about shopping: retail prices are optional if you're willing to do a little homework. I'm always looking for quality and value without paying unnecessary markups, and this outlet center has been a very reliable place to find both. I needed professional clothing, shoes, and luggage for work, so I made the drive out here--and I found everything I needed in one trip. One of my best purchases was a beautiful piece of luggage from Travelpro at a great price. Many of the stores also offer additional discounts if you sign up for their rewards programs, which can make the savings even better. Stores I frequent most: * Banana Republic * J.Crew * Ann Taylor * LOFT * Saks Off 5th * Old Navy (very large location with great basics) * Le Creuset -- always fun to browse, even if just window shopping If you have the time to look carefully and shop strategically, you can really find high-quality items here at excellent prices. My personal shopping strategy: * I avoid weekends whenever possible * I park near the Saks entrance, especially along the back row where it's easier to remember where you parked * I shop during off-hours for a calmer, more efficient experience Parking overall is plentiful, and the layout is easy to navigate once you learn your preferred entry point. Another thing I appreciate is the atmosphere. In my experience, the staff across stores have been knowledgeable, polite, and helpful. The overall vibe feels practical and approachable--people are there to shop, not to show off. There are also plenty of restaurants and fast-casual options nearby, so it can easily become a full outing. If you're planning a larger shopping trip, using store hold or will-call services can be a smart way to keep your purchases secure while you continue browsing. As someone who pays attention to value and cost of living, I've found shopping in North Carolina--and the Southeast in general--to be refreshingly affordable compared to the West Coast. That difference alone makes places like this especially worthwhile. Bottom line: Easy parking, strong value, and a wide selection of reliable brands. If you shop strategically and avoid peak times, this outlet center can be a very productive and enjoyable place to find quality items at fair prices.

I appreciate the clean bathrooms inside the food court- especially the family restrooms which has a small toilet for kids.
