I can't un-recommend this place enough. A surprisingly disappointing experience with nearly everything possible watered down or substituted for cheaper ingredients. Reasonable portion sizes for the mains (standard size waffles, obviously) and creative takes on the standard fare but massive dilution in quality and on top of that mediocre execution all around. More creative marketing and ambiance than actual product or experience. And passive aggressive or indifferent staff.
Good: cute place, and cleaner than a typical diner (except for the silverware), with no wait for a table
Bad: they list maple syrup on the menu but you get corn syrup (you can buy real maple syrup if you specifically go up to the register to ask for it, but it's an extra $3); similarly, they say hollandaise on the Benedict but it's a watered down aioli that tastes mostly like mayo smeared on the plate, not on the Benedict itself--and just one egg which you canNOT get poached, only sunny side up
Ugly: a tomato in a dish that I confirmed before and after should NOT have tomato; the worst latte of my entire life (cold brew oat milk maple syrup latte on tap where the only flavor was the whipped cream they put on top) which they allowed me to top off with regular coffee to get some kind of flavor into it--but even the hot coffee was insanely watered down and looked like tea rather than coffee
Weird: everything came deconstructed but still had a toothpick stuck into it. Huh??? Do they not understand what the toothpick is for?
Price for 2 people with just one drink (seasonal latte): $65 with a 20% tip given at register before any of the experience actually happened
TLDR: so much regret--if you actually like good quality fare and service, please don't repeat my mistakes! read more
