Pleasantly surprised. Left my comfort zone and ventured to trying something different. The half rack took up the whole plate. Sweet and tangy sauce was delicious as was the chicken tenders. Opted for hot honey sauce on the side. Excellent. Served hot and the server checked on us constantly. They also offer bundles for family gatherings. Good idea for the holiday. Ambiance was good. Got there at 530pm and seated immediately. Don't sleep on local spots. You will be surprised. read more

This was my first time visiting and first impressions did not win me over. The bread and butter was the best experience. It was really good. My party, we both ordered the cheeseburger; medium cooked but they both were well done. My party asked for no onions, no pickles and no salt on his fries. We asked for additional napkins from the waiter but he took so long that we had to stop someone for the napkins. When he finally returned, he brought cocktail napkins and not napkins for eating. The ambiance is basic but nice. Unfortunately, my experience was not a good one. They get one star for the bread and honey butter drizzled on it. read more

I've eaten at Cheddar's before, but this was my first time dining in. While visiting Charlotte, my party of five was greeted with a warm smile by a friendly hostess and seated immediately, which was a great start to our experience. Our waitress, Blake, came over shortly after we were seated. She was friendly, attentive, and a pleasure to interact with as she took our drink and food orders. Excellent customer service truly makes a difference! The iced sweet tea was absolutely delicious! I paired it with a bacon cheeseburger that was thick, juicy, and full of flavor. The fries were served hot, perfectly seasoned, and crispy -- just the way I like them. The only downside was the burger bun. Unfortunately, it was cold and tasted like it came straight out of the bag. After a couple of bites, I ended up removing the bun and finishing my burger with a fork. Three of us ordered burgers, and each of our buns was cold. I highly suggest Cheddar's start toasting their buns -- that simple step would easily take their burgers to a perfect 5/5! My sisters enjoyed their food. One ordered the shrimp pasta and the other, steak and shrimp with a baked potato. Now, she initially didn't receive the bacon bits on her baked potato, but Blake quickly corrected it, so all was well. Overall, this was a solid lunch experience with great service. With just a small improvement to the burger buns, it could easily be outstanding! read more

The waiter was excellent ! He made the entire time there great . Despite some of the reviews we decided to try while on vacation for spring break . All of the was good . From apps, drinks and dinners . We went on Easter . Busy but still got a table within 10mins . When in town we would go again . It was as casual but because of holiday ppl were dressed in their best . The large fish tank made the kids night ! read more

Cheddar's was such a great stop while visiting North Carolina! While spending time visiting family in North Carolina, we decided to stop by Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen, and it ended up being one of those meals where everyone at the table left happy and full. The service was incredible from the moment we walked in. Our server was attentive, friendly, and made sure our drinks were always filled and that everything came out just right. You could tell the staff really cared about making sure guests had a great experience. That level of hospitality always stands out and made the visit even better. We started things off with the Choose 3 appetizer, and it was the perfect way to kick off the meal. We ordered the spinach dip, Wisconsin cheese bites, and queso, and every single one of them was delicious. The spinach dip was creamy and full of flavor, the Wisconsin cheese bites were perfectly crispy, and the queso was the kind you keep dipping into even when you tell yourself you're done. For the main meal, there was something for everyone. The kids chicken strips were a hit and came out hot and crispy. I ordered the country fried steak, and it was exactly what you want from comfort food. Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and covered in rich gravy. We also ordered the pasta, which was flavorful and cooked perfectly. The restaurant had a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy the meal together. When you're traveling or visiting family, that kind of comfortable environment makes the experience even better. Between the great appetizers, hearty comfort food, and laid-back vibe, Cheddar's was definitely a win for our family. If you're in the area and looking for a place where everyone at the table can find something they love, this is a solid choice. read more

I don't know what to think now! Because of what happened during my first visit to this place, their customer service gave me a gift card to try them again! Today I walked in to place a to-go order! I arrived at 3:45 p.m. I had to wait for a shift change before my order was placed! It's now 4:20 p.m., and I'm waiting for my order! I think I'm done with this place! I'm sorry, I walked in with open expectations and because of the long wait just to place my togo order, I know I'm done! Thank you for the gift card! #cheddars #iwishyouthebest read more

The service was great. All the employees were very friendly. The food and beverages were brought to the table quickly and were warm. The salmon was good. The meatloaf wasn't what I expected and may have just been something I wasn't used to. It was sort of greasy and crunchy-as though it was cooked or reheated on a griddle. Overall, this was a nice place and we'd return if we were in the area. read more

Absolutely Terrible Experience This was one of the worst restaurant experiences I've ever had. We waited over an hour for our food, which is completely unacceptable. When the food finally came out, it was cold and some of it was clearly undercooked. After waiting that long, I expected the food to at least be hot and properly prepared. The whole experience was extremely disappointing. Waiting more than an hour just to receive food that was cold and undercooked is ridiculous. I left feeling like my time and money were completely wasted. I would not recommend this location to anyone unless they want to wait forever for food that isn't even prepared properly. Management seriously needs to address the kitchen and service because this was unacceptable and our server Ava did not come out at all only once for food and after waiting for my sons birthday song three times and did receive the free cake that came with it read more

Requested 8 ounce sirloin medium well to well done no seasoning broccoli no seasoning and broccoli casserole. I received a rare seasoned steak that took 30 min to get recooked due to busy staff with other patrons, broccoli casserole came out in the tiniest dish I have ever seen( not worth it at all) also received broccoli loaded in garlic I could barely get down. Do Not order the broccoli casserole if you want to leave full. It is 1/3 the quantity of other sides and be prepared for loads of seasoning on everything if u like that. Disappointed !! read more

I decided to stop by cheddars, it's been so long since I've been to any location. The ambiance was great! Service was good as well. I decided to sit at the bar and grab a drink and an appetizer. (I will say it was very, very chilly inside the restaurant and that's the only complaint I have. ) So I grabbed a strawberry daiquiri and Santa Fe spinach dip. They both were amazing and I also decided to try the honey butter croissants and they were delicious. I will definitely be back because the prices are great and the food is good. read more

Visiting Saturday afternoon around 3, several large parties waiting to be seated. Thankfully my daughter did something on the phone and our table was ready in less than 5 minutes. Service remained just as quick throughout our visit, thanks to our waiter Kaleb. This is a very loud restaurant. I am sensitive to sound and the close proximity of tables and booths makes it very hard to hear your conversation. Needless to say this and the cleanliness of the restaurant are the only reason I'm not going 5. The food was good. I ordered meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and broccoli casserole. Everything was delicious. I wish the portions of the sides were larger. I almost ordered another order of sides to complete my meatloaf. I do love the fact their meatloaf isn't soaked down in ketchup. A gravy meatloaf is hard to find. My daughter ordered the sirloin and tenders. The steak was seasoned well and tender. The chicken tenders were juicy and meaty. My 6 yo grandson finished the kids penne pasta with Alfredo and that's my review on that. Our waiter was amazing. Really enjoyed spending my afternoon there with family. Definitely will return! read more

Good food, reasonable prices and great service is what we experienced on a first visit to Cheddars. The interior was nice and clean. The server brought over complementary honey butter croissants to try, YUM!. I was originally hesitant about going given the low ratings, but I will always try something at least once and I am glad I did. This is a great value place with quality food. I thoroughly enjoyed a steak (6oz) and half Slab combo which was very reasonably priced. They nailed the steak temperature, hats off!!!! We are Definitely going back. Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen - 6 oz sirloin and half stab of ribs - American Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

My first time in Charlotte NC while I make my way down to SC. Never heard of this place. Gave it a shot. Great decor and great, friendly staff. Walked right in. Happy Hour All day prices on a few drinks and Bud Light. They advertise chicken tenders as a popular dish so of course I ordered it. The tendies overall were slightly better than Canes and the ranch dressing was to die for. The Hot Honey was not good as it had a maple syrup flavor to it. The French fries was where they went wrong. A few people I was with agreed. Barely warm, no seasoning, not crispy. My meal was called Key West Chicken and Shrimp. Should have made a different selection. Wry small Piece of chicken and 3 slightly overcooked shrimp on top of a bed of rice with pineapple and some hideous teriyaki type sauce. The best part of the restaurant was the prices. Very cheap as 4 meals and a few beverages cost $70. Not a bad price. Of my party of 4, 2 people were satisfied and 2 were not. Overall a 6.8 overall out of 10. read more

Server was nice and there wasn't a wait for seating at all. We ordered an appetizer and drink while waiting on our entree's. Cheese bites came out warm and they were delicious. It was a lil wait on our other items but not long enough that it was a problem. My chicken wraps were room temperature, like maybe it was sitting out while waiting on the other food. read more

Terrible! Below mediocre food! One of the employees had a comb in his hair and was flaking while walking around! The busboy had in headphones and spoke so loudly while that people around us couldn't hear themselves! A group of teenagers started FaceTiming through the speakers of their phone and the manager wouldn't ask them to be polite but instead would move people to other areas. And to top it all off our burgers took 30min to come out and were cooked wrong. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Feeling nostalgia on a Sunday I decided to reminisce on the old CIAA days and just old faithfuls like Chedsar's. A gem back in the day when life was carefree. I gave this Cheddar's location a tryout again (over a decade later). I used to frequent this location in the early 2000s. I fell for Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen for its consistency and quality. I'm grateful to learn that the experience is still on point here for the most part. The restaurant was nice and clean. There was no one to be found at the Host station. Very busy day, so this was to be expected. I sat myself at the bar. My bartender/server Crystal was amazing. Very kind, welcoming, and attentive. Crystal had tables and the bar to tend to and she didn't miss a beat. Always upbeat, pleasant, and worked well with everyone never sacrificing great customer service. The rolls were as I remember. Buttery soft and delicious. The New Orleans pasta was decent. Flavorful and meaty. My only suggestion is to cook the pasta less. I prefer my pasta al dente and the penne was cooked a bit too long. The temperature of my food on arrival to me was perfect. The kitchen has mastered this. Piping hot and blowable food is a YES for me every time. My classic mule was very good and refreshing. The right amount of ice and I enjoy the mint. read more

This place sucks, manager disappears, nowhere to be seen. Phone ringer on volume 100 and rings every 5 seconds. Rude as hell bartender/server. Teneisha H. Tuesday night, low headcount. Her friends are more important than anyone else in here. Talking on her earbuds while working. Unacceptable by any service industry standards. This location is a disgrace to Cheddar's brand. Won't be back here. Get new staff and management, at least for the bar area, didn't eat on the restaurant side. read more

My husband and I attempted to dine in at this location on 6/9 around 7pm. Upon entrance, a hostess was nowhere to be found. Food is good, and it's a big restaurant. But servers need help. Not enough employees to handle the lunch rush. But overall could be a great place if they had more employees. Most people get 1 hour for lunch so waiting 30 minutes just to get seated and drinks isn't ideal. read more

The food was delicious, I ordered the ribs, the bartender was very friendly and attentive to my order, I strongly recommend it.

This is my first time eating here. I ordered the New Orleans pasta with the honey croissants. The croissants were amazing. The pasta was good but they were very skimpy on the meat I only got 2 pieces of sausage, 3 pieces of chicken and 6-7 pieces of shrimp. The sausage and chicken was salty. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The restaurant was nice and cozy. The prices were okay but they need to add more meat to the New Orleans Pasta dish. I don't think it is unreasonable to expect more than 2 pieces of sausage and 3 pieces of chicken in a dish that costs $15.00. Okay. read more

This was a last minute drop in since we were staying at the hotel nearby. Very disappointing as the entrance was not inviting and had a not so fresh smell. Once we sat at the bar the bartender was also not friendly and quickly let us know we had less than 15 mins to order drinks and less than an hour before the kitchen closed.Which we were ok with but the delivery of the information was a little rude. Along with the terrible service our food came out less than 10 minutes after ordering and was not fresh and cold. We had no silverware and when asked it seemed like we were being a bother. read more

Huge Disappointment. I loved cheddars since a kid but never again will I visit or order from this location. Ordered through the website to have the food delivered from uber. Just for half of my order to be missing. Contacted the store and was on hold for 10 minutes and then hung up on and then called again to be on hold for over 15 minutes. Had to go to the store to pickup the rest of my food, for the hostess to say "oh you're the one that we forgot to bag the rest of the order". Then I went to eat my salsa for the first time and a chip was in it. Which means someone already had this salsa and it was reused. NEVER AGAIN! read more

Chose Cheddars for lunch yesterday and it was a quite the mediocre experience. The waitress was nice and attentive but the food just wasn't good. The complimentary croissants we received shortly after being sat were cold and topped with way too much butter for my liking. We were just popping in for a quick bite to eat and decided to share a platter. Ribs for my bf and chicken tenders for myself. He enjoyed the ribs but we both agreed the chicken tenders were pretty bad. I ate one and he had 1/2 of one. They weren't worth finishing. Lots of batter, a greasy taste and just not a good tender. The sides were good. We got mashed potatoes and corn. The restaurant wasn't busy but the food took about 30 min to be delivered. We paid on the machine because no one ever brought a check to the table. My Daughter , Granddaughter and I usually go to Cheddars almost every Friday evening. But this week we ended up going on Thursday evening. We noticed there were no familiar waiters or waitresses. That's kind of weird. I ordered a steak, baked potato and salad. Their salads are the best with crunchy fresh veggies. When my salad arrived I immediately was disappointed. The iceberg lettuce that was in it was brown around the edges. Not very appealing. Like they scraped the bottom of the barrel. Not long after the steak and potato was served. Looked good, I ordered my steak to be medium. But the center of the steak was rare, I'm surprised it didn't moo. The center of the potato looked off, as if it was cooked before today and just heated up. It didn't taste good. My Granddaughter ordered chicken tenders, which she didn't eat because they were "rubbery" when she bit into them. Cheddars has been my #1 place to go, but with such a failed dinner experience Cheddars has fallen to #10, like a hot potato. It was good till it wasn't. I'll be looking for a new Friday night dinner place! Cheddars......peace out! read more

Not one to leave reviews, but I'd have to say the wait time was accurate, we were quick to the table. Our server was a little late getting to the table but made up for it. He was quick to tell us if we knew what we wanted to put it in cause the kitchen was behind. We ordered the Bacon Cheese Fries, they were ok... the bacon was honestly the only good part. As for our main course we ordered the Grilled Shrimp Alfredo and the Maple Bourbon Salmon, absolutely AWFUL, the salmon tasted like dish water, the pasta was overcooked. We spoke to the manager which honestly threw us for a loop cause he didn't introduce himself just came to the table and asked us if everything was ok. Made me question if he was the manager or if he was just a random person. Very loud, could probably get a contact high from the smell of dope in the place. Could be cleaner but overall we might try it again. read more
