Why can't this location do a quality check on croissants? This is the 3rd time in a row, where something was wrong. This time, they were like dry toast. How? I liken the insides to the consistency of a cheese doodle, no exaggeration. A prior visit yielded cold croissants in which, even the plate was cold. Cold enough to have the butter stiff. I don't understand how. I had 3 croissants with this order, with only one being edible without falling apart in my hand, and one disintegrated upon hitting the floor. I used to enjoy Cheddars so much that I would specifically look for it out of town. Not anymore. The Greenville NC location is terrible, too. read more

I was here but it was too crowded and the wait time was too long, something like 45 mins. I have been here before they do have good food. My advice is if you want to try any good restaurant in Charlotte to eat you better go during the week or early like before dinner time if you planing to go on the weekend start on Friday. 5/8/23 I ordered the baby back ribs, broccoli, and the loaded bake potato. The ribs fell off the bone, the baked potato, and broccoli was good. I want to come back and try the chicken pot pie. The men's bathroom was clean and stocked. The waiter that we had was awesome. I wish I could remember his name. read more

The hostess quickly sat us. The ambiance is really nice. If it's busy you can tell it gets a little loud. I love the hot croissants. They were right on point. The Texas margarita and cheddars painkiller was watered down and took about 10 mins to get to us. Not far behind was the food. It was good the only down fall was the sides we ordered baked potatoes and broccoli casserole were cold. The seafood was made hot and ready. The waitress was nice. read more

Worst dining experience I've had so far. Wait time was 6-10 minutes when I got on the waitlist but I waited 30 to sit a table of ONE with no acknowledgement from the host. Despite seeing I was #1 on the waitlist, I saw two parties sat before me. Server took awhile to bring my drinks and then took awhile after that to take my order after I've already waited longer than I planned. The drink I ordered was just juice and no alcohol which was a waste of money. After I received my food, I was left without napkins and a straw for my drink and my server just handed me my food and walked off without speaking. Went awhile before I was asked if I needed anything, and when I asked for a refill of my other beverage she brought it in a Togo cup, assumed to be rushing me out after I waited a long time just to be seated. To top it off, I was asked to walk into the back of house, to pay for my meal since the kiosk was not assigned to my table. Which is not a big deal but kind of weird on top of an already terrible experience. I can say the server was kind, but not attentive as I waited a 10 minutes just to be able to pay and leave and to be given the chance to ask for the bare minimum. I will not come back to this establishment. read more

my waitress was nice but idk she seemed scared lol the menu said burgers r cooked medium-well but then she asked me how I wanted my burger cooked lol. my bottom bun was soggy with grease and the tomato was mush. tasted like a tomato that'd been in the fridge too long. the burger patty was on some mondo burger shit and it needed salt but it was ok. the sampler trio is also weak sauce and nobody in my 4-person party liked the spinach dip but I don't eat spinach dip anyway so I personally didn't care that I didn't like it. the pickle on my burger tho amazing. and the seasoning on the fries was also good. also those croissants are hellaciously incredible. anyway 5/10. Not disgusting and some of the food was good but I will never come back for as long as I remember my experience here. if everything were like 25-45% cheaper it'd be worth read more

I went to college in this area and decided to bring my group here for some team building pre engagement time! And I'm glad I did! The food came out superrrr fast! One of my favorite items here is the honey butter croissants, let's just say that hasn't changed much! Great service and very affordable pricing! read more

Sitting back off Harris Blvd in the university area you will find cheddars scratch kitchen, this place has been around for a while, even after all the restaurants on either side of of it have gone out of business numerous times. The restaurant is clean and the staff is friendly, the menu has a decent selection and the food is pretty good. I've eaten here many times and usually get the buffalo chicken wrap, but the other things I've had have been pretty good as well. I've seen that this place had gotten a B on their report card several times in the past, but they always fix the problems and get their A rating back. They stay pretty busy, so expect to wait a bit to be seated. But once you are seated, they bring you some amazing honey butter croissants which have always been good. read more

We ordered to-go from Cheddars last night only to arrive home and discover that one of our orders was completely wrong! Sat in the bar and had the chicken fried chicken and swapped one of the sides for the broccoli cheddar casserole. It had rice in it, reminded me of rice a roni, and not in a good way. The chicken was fried well and appreciated the gravy on the side without asking. Mashed potatoes were good. The Tito's watermelon drink was cheap and delicious! Service was good, very attentive! Cheap for the amount of food you get! read more

I had to order a vegetable plate because there is absolutely nothing vegan on the menu. Most places will have a vegan burger or some other vegan item. House salad had cheese and eggs on it and had to send it back. Not a good start. Veggies are good. Broccoli is perfect, carrots were not mushy and corn was good. Could not eat a the fries. Too much food. Waiter was very friendly and courteous. read more

Inconsistency servings sizes with broccoli casserole side dish (tiny servings with little rice) and Mac n cheese changes too much with type of noodle used (shells, spirals) and little bit of cheese melt at this location! What's up with that? 7/20/19. Great service at the go bar but the hosts were not friendly on my two visits. No greeting. The bartenders always make sure I have everything I need and shows me each entree before I head out the door. The food had been good so far at this location. I ate at cheddars many times in Fayetteville, NC. Family favorite. Not sure of the low ratings. I'm glad they brought back the "homemade" tarter sauce and didn't keep the store bou read more

The service and professionalism in this cheddars location is trash! I hope I just caught them on a bad night. Bartender and some waitresses seemed very frustrated and overwhelmed. To the point where they were using profanity around customers (F bombs). Just seemed real chaotic. read more

Wait staff excellent. Croissants were to die for. Ribs were out of this world!!! Highly recommend for any occasion!

Food was good, the waiter was not! Long wait for a waiter to come, forgot a lot of items... he was just all over the place tonight. As I was walking out a lady a few tables down was calling the manager on him. Again, great food, horrible waiter. He forgot my salad, brought out a salad and it was Caesar, I ordered house. Ordered croissants as appetizers, never got those at all. I could have asked to speak to a manager or not leave him a tip, I left a decent tip, not as much as I usually would if he would have been awesome! He was already getting complained on from another table so I didn't even bother. read more

Waitress was very nice. Baked potato soup yummy with lots of potato chunks. Caesar salad fresh and tasty but more dressing than I like. My friend liked the chicken tender salad. I'll start by saying that dud go Covid a lot of restaurants are short staffed and Cheddars is not exception. We had about a 45 minute wait and we were a large party of 9 people. Our server was very attentive, he got our orders correct, made sure our drinks were full, and was sure to check in on us. I had the half rack ribs, Coconut Shrimp and the mashed potatoes. Oh and they gave us Complimentary Honey Butttered Crossaints!! Overall good experience. read more

This was literally the worst dining experience of my life. Here's what all went wrong (we kept track). -chips were stale -chicken Alfredo expect forgot my garlic bread and also had no Parmesan -the pasta was so over cooked it was like jello -the broccoli was not seasoned -chicken was gross -steak was so overdone (well done when ordered medium) the fist time and so dry -first steak was very thin -took forever for a new one -Took forever on drinks/drinks flat -Monster cookie dessert was missing the whipped creme and the cherry -cookie was also basically a pancake -weird taste on Cookie ice cream -double charged for sent back steak -charged for free chips and queso -arrived at 5:00, left at 7:11 Please do yourself a favor and never come here. read more

Food good, drinks were amazing. Went for my birthday and I must say great turn around.

Nothing out of this world. Mostly food you could make at home. The rolls came to table cold along with glaze so maybe that's the norm but expected them to be warm. Again, just wasn't too impressed read more

The service here was incredibly poor. The hostess was immature and unapproachable. The server acted like she didn't care if she waited on me or not. Very unfriendly, slow service, unapologetic, and to top it off there was a manager walking around, but didn't come over when my kiosk was blinking because I needed a reprint of my receipt. If the service would've been better I would've came here everyday for supper during my business trip since it's just across the road from my hotel. I won't be back. I won't come back when I'm sent back down here for work either. read more

Good Food and Good Service Easter Sunday and we decide to go out for Brunch. Normally this would not be an issue since that is our customary routine but with Hip Surgery, less than two weeks ago, still playing it by ear. Pulled in about 11:45 am just ahead of the Church rush. My wife dropped me off at the front door while she found a parking spot. I made it to the top of the steps on crutches when the manager ran out to hold the doors for me (both sets) which helped they were quite heavy. They went ahead and seated me while we waited for my wife. Nice decor and with the horizontal ceiling fans, reminds me of the old Bombay Bicycle Club Chain of restaurants from years past. Wife joined me and our server was there to take our drink menu's and to present us with menus. Both of us ordered Sweet Tea although I ordered it 1/2 and 1/2 and glad I did. Hate to think how it would have tasted if it were straight Sweetened Tea. Nice menu with something for everyone. I ordered the Country Fried Steak with Mashed Potatoes, Gravy and Cheesy Broccoli Casserole for my entree. My wife ordered a Philly Cheese Steak with a side of corn for her's. While we waited, we had a chance to observer the dining room. Nice and light and airy with a Deep South Atmosphere. I loved the aquarium at one end but so did most of the kids who came it as well. Lunch came out in short order. Server apologized because when they came in that morning, the kitchen had made to wrong gravy and I was going to have to wait for a few. No problem and when it came it was good. The Broccoli Casserole was somewhat dry though. The Country Fried Steak and the Potatoes were excellent and let's face it, they are the highlight of the meal. My wife enjoyed her Philly Cheese Steak but I will admit, I am used to a Philly Cheese Steak being bright yellow because of the type cheese used. Nevertheless, she enjoyed it and portions were large enough, she finished it off this evening. Came time to leave and everyone was grabbing and holding doors again. I'm not helpless but the gesture was appreciated and it extended beyond the staff. Other Patrons were trying to help as well. Great commentary on the Spirit of Easter read more

On my birthday, today I ordered a classic cheeseburger. it was greasy. I ordered a strawberry swirl margarita that was very sweet and tasted like mix without any alcohol. He was new and did not know how to make drinks. I ordered a Monster cookie with Ice cream. she said it will take 15 minutes. I said ok. it came out burnt with syrup on it and ice cream. Worse Cheddars I have ever been to! This place was terrible from the start. Dirty restaurant, staff clothes dirty, baggy, and unprofessional looking. Sat in bar area 10 minute greet, ordered drinks and appetizers. Chip's greasy, queso watered down, tenders NOT hand breaded. Burger was dry and burnt definitely been cooked and sitting prior to us, chicken fried steak ok, mashed cold and been sitting for a while, drinks too forever. Managers standing around bar not running drinks or talking to guests. Hard to believe this is a Cheddars. read more

We stopped here on wanting to try a new place, funny because we live just a couple minutes from here. And what have we been missing. It's been a while since we where treated friendly like this from all the workers, then the food I had chicken Buffalo chicken tenders with a salad. And the tenders are thick pieces of chicken with great coating and yummy sauce!! Where have they been my life!! The salad was fresh and delicious just what I wanted! My wife had county fried chicken and sweet carrots, the best looking chicken I've seen. Still thick not hammered thin and crunchy coating not soggy she says it her favorite. Cheddar's has wonderful food and drink options and is one of those good sit-down, wholesome places where you can get a good meal for cheap! Their honey-butter croissants are DEEEEEELICIOUS and so worth getting the appetizer portion of three. In the past I've gotten the Dijon chicken and mushrooms but recently got hip to the bourbon salmon and will never be the same. They give you so much food and have the best options for sides (I usually go for steamed broccoli, loaded baked potato, rice pilaf, or a side salad). The salmon is so tender and perfectly cooked and the bourbon sauce is so tasty I could eat it by itself!! Cheddar's is definitely somewhere you'd want to go for a nice dinner with family, friends, or yourself. They have plenty of tvs around the bar area for added entertainment, I've never had an issue with parking but can see why some people do as it is right beside another restaurant. read more
