I have lived In Charlotte for a year and a half and I think Bossy's is one of the few unique, delicious, and friendly places to eat. The chicken quinoa salad is so tasty and the light fry doesn't make it too heavy. sitting at the bar feels like dinner and a show. Also, very reasonable prices. read more

I love the simple, older style look of the restaurant. It's very clean and pleasing to the eye. The staff was exceptional in customer service which is so rare these days. We were greeted immediately and they were so helpful in helping me decide on what to order. The chicken sandwich was one of the best I've ever had. The hot sauce was a little spicer than I expected, which they did warn me and advise I get it on the side, but it's still very good. The ranch is homemade and excellent. Some of the best I've had. I highly recommend this place and will return again. read more

Bossy Beulah’s - The Beaut - Chicken Shop Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

When I first moved to Charlotte I found Bossy Beulah's in Southend. I heard the oldies jams and I fell in love especially with the decor and ambiance. I had a chicken sandwich and some potato salad and I was amazed and the service was so friendly. Today I'm their fair new location near Concord Mills I got some chicken tenders and my friend got fries. Everything was so salty it was so difficult to enjoy and my mouth literally started burning. Couldn't finish the meal. Staff was friendly but man so disappointed this time. The 2 stars are for the jams. I could sit outside and listen to it all the time. Reminds me of being a kid. read more

Stopped by and ordered the Cheesy Beaut. I was impressed with how quickly my food was ready. The chicken sandwich was solid. It was flavorful, cooked well, and definitely hit the spot. Nothing overly fancy, just a good sandwich that I'd happily order again. Overall, a quick and easy place to grab a quality meal. I'd come back to try more of the menu. read more

Bossy Beulah’s - Cheesy Beaut - Chicken Shop Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

A lot of hype around this place so we wanted to wait until the hype died down. The place was bright and clean. The people working there was very kind and friendly. I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich combo. Let me tell you something, these fries were special. They were twice fried french fries and are cooked again when you order. So there is a lovely crispy with soft pillowy contrast. i would come back and order fries every time! the chicken sandwich was a little of a let down since it suppose to be the star of the show. It had a nice kick of spices but i didn't find a lot of other flavors. the chicken was fried nicely with not too much batter but it just lack flavor beside the sauce. If you are a fry lover like me dont miss out on this great spot! read more

Bossy Beulah’s - Hot Thigh Combo - Chicken Shop Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

We had just finished lunch when we realized there was a hot chicken place immediately next-door. We decided on a whim to run over to Bossy Beulah's and pick up something to bring home for dinner later that night. The restaurant is larger than it appears with plenty of seating at tables and the counter. It's spotlessly clean with two all-gender bathrooms. Every worker we encountered was cheerful, super polite, and willing to help. I only waited in line for less than a minute before it was my turn to order. I ordered two Hot Thigh sandwiches to go and then I saw on the order board that they had soft serve ice cream. I just love a good soft serve cone, so I ordered two as well. My husband and I sat down at a table briefly to eat our ice cream cones and wait for our sandwiches to be ready. The ice cream cones looked like they were vanilla, but were actually sugar cookie flavored. That was a fun surprise and quite enjoyable. Soon our sandwiches were ready, wrapped nicely and packed in a bag for us. I was very surprised at how heavy the bag was. We had a long drive home and popped them into the fridge. At dinner time, we unwrapped them and just barely reheated them in the microwave. All I can say is, if they were this good after all that time and being reheated, fresh off the griddle would've blown our minds. I'm not kidding, those were the best hot chicken sandwiches that we've had in a long time. The bun was super soft, they were very generous with the hot sauce and the Duke's mayo, and the not-quite-spicy pickles were very nice touch. The chicken thighs, two(!) to a sandwich, are fried perfectly with a flavorful thin batter, not too thick, and the thigh meat literally melted in your mouth. It was probably the most tender chicken I have ever had. Seriously, you have all got to try this place! read more

Wow! This was my first time here and I didn't expect to pay almost $30 for a chicken sandwich, fries, and drink. Everything is a la carte. Insane. Bright , spacey, and clean building but this more along the lines of what Mike's Vegan is charging in Greensboro for a vegan chicken sandwich and side. Service was regular but I won't be back due to the price. The sandwich was the size of my palm. Fries were perfect but the price point is crazy. read more

Warmly greeted. A plus no matter where you go and a cornerstone of good customer service. Well staffed and a nice menu of good selections. Roomy with several tables and also outdoor seating at the rear of the building if you want fresh air or a cool breeze. Loved the ambiance. And dem wings was fried perfectly! Definitely give them a try and do visit. Good location with ample parking. read more

I've been here twice in one week and it was amazing both times! It's a very simple menu, but the fried chicken tenders, sandwiches, and bites are all delicious. If you like fresh cut fries, these are amazing too and one order is enough for 2 people unlike the 6 waffle fries Chick-fil-a will now give you in a regular order of fries. Lastly, the hand pies and cookies are soooo good! 10/10! read more

Bossy's has great food. We've loved the downtown location for years. I was beyond excited they opened a location in my neck of the woods. The newest location is beautiful. Roomie, yet still has that unique Bossy feel. The service we received at the cash register to order was difficult to say the least. We had a low talker and she got our order wrong in so many ways. BUT once WE straightened it out the food was very good. read more

Loved the original location and so happy they are now closer. Simple menu, basically just chicken sandwiches and tenders. But it's so tasty!

Food was fine. The price and value were outrageously bad. Way too expensive for midass chicken and fries.

Clean restaurant, friendly and prompt service. Very good food. One of the better chicken sandwiches I've had. FF were excellent.

I have wanted to try this place since it opened a few months ago. Today, I decided to pick up a couple of chicken sandwiches before we headed out of town for Christmas. I sampled the fries on the way home. The fries are delicious! My husband and I each ordered The Beaut - Fantastic! The sandwiches are HUGE and very juicy! We ordered combos but the side of fries would have been enough for us to split. We also ordered the six piece nuggets. The nuggets were good but not as juicy and tender as the sandwich (which was okay because we were there for sandwiches). Service was a little slow, but worth it because the sandwich makes up for all that. Inside was clean and modern with plenty of seating. I will admit the prices are a little pricier than Chic Fil-A, but worth the splurge. I love their Bossy Sauce and honey mustard sauce. read more

Bossy Beulah’s - Overcooked, dry, disgusting! - Chicken Shop Near Me - Charlotte, North Carolina

Delish! My only complaint is the door near the back entrance on the left side seems to always have flies. I've never seen anyone try and remove them. While the food has an amazing taste it's hard to enjoy in the restaurant as the music is extremely loud and the flying friends are quite annoying. Luckily we usually take ours to go. read more

Great food service and atmosphere 10/10 recommend if haven't tried !!! Very nice and generous staff

Food was delicious, flavorful and fresh. Got the chicken sandwich and some wings. Zero complaints. I will be back!

Top quality chicken sandwich that was fresh, a little crispy, and very juicy and flavorful. Both the Hot Thigh and Beulah were excellent, and the fries crispy and well seasoned. The menu is brief, but they focus on what they're good at. Was busy but still fast, and a great upgrade over the fast food chicken sandwich. Pickles were fresh and chilled and the hot sauce just spicy enough to keep it interesting. Even my "that's so mid" teenager was impressed and didn't call it "overrated." Will definitely be going back in the near future. read more

Very good chicken sandwich. They added a few more menu items since a few years ago. They really love their mayonnaise, if you're not a mayo fan, make sure you request to leave off the mayo when ordering read more

Chicken sandwich was cold Apple pies were cold and soggy. French fries were hot and fresh. Please don't. Serve food that been sitting around because it not busy hours. Customers can tell. Far too loud inside for conversation. Fries and chicken left a heavy oil aftertaste. Order the hot sauce on the side to be safe!

Extremely disappointed in the service. I ordered a large order online to be picked up at 11:30 for a lunch at 11:45. When I walked in, they were just cooking the chicken, the sides weren't packaged, nothing was ready. this caused me to be late for my lunch. I placed the order 1.5 hours ahead. read more

Just opened today at this location but I've been a customer prior to this location opening. I had a 50% off for ordering in app today but it wouldn't allow me to. I get to the store and they it doesn't apply to them but I can use my reward money I've earned over the last year. Not very excited if all promotions don't apply to all stores. I've been going to the freedom location for over a year and never experienced this presentation. Then the manager/chef tried to be accommodating but the customer service didn't quite hit. read more
