    GH-Classic Gyro Combo
    Erica R.

My experience is limited to delivery alone. I can't speak for the actual space or the staff, only the food. I ordered a classic gyro and a side of fries. The fuel was fine. Nothing too exciting but was a good portion and appropriately priced. The fries were seasoned well but otherwise overcooked and chewy. If I ordered from this place again, I would go with a different side but overall a good meal.

First time here and will not be the last! Went for lunch today and had a great lunch. I had the classic gyro combo meal(I chose fries) and my wife had the gyro bowl. The quality of the food was really good and the vegetables were very fresh. The portion size was very good also. The service was great and the staff was very pleasant. The inside is nice, however, we chose to sit outside as the weather was sunny and warm. They have about 4 large round tables outside if I remember right with umbrellas. We did not expect the food to be brought outside to us, which they did and very much appreciated. Hats off to the crew working today! Was a delightful experience.

Service is fast and nice. I would recommend and would definitely go back there. Food is always good and cheap prices.

I found Pino Mediterranean Grill about a year ago, and this has quickly become my favorite spot for Greek food. I love how they make the food fresh, and they use a thermometer to make sure the meat is properly cooked! I've noticed them constantly bringing out fresh ingredients to make the best fresh meals money can buy. The menu has a great selection of dishes and they've recently added a breakfast menu. So far everything I've tasted here is excellent. They even have a vegetarian options! The restaurant and the restrooms are clean and well maintained. The staff as well as the owner, are all friendly, professional and very personable... One last thing; the tabouli salad, the jalapeño and cilantro hummus, and the spicy hummus are all amazing; No matter what I order. I have to include one or all of these add-ons to my order.

I may as well admit... I got nothing but love for this place, and here is why: First, it's super clean and pristine. From the grilling area, to the tables you can rest assured that your food is being prepared and handled in the most sanitary conditions. You can't say that about everyplace. So I truly appreciated that. Second the food is fresh, tasty... With so many healthy options to choose I didn't know what I wanted. I ordered a Chicken Gyro platter, with stuffed grape leaves. The portion are big, and you really get your money's worth. The Chicken was tender accompanied by crispy lettuce and thin slices of red onion, the olives and feta added the right amount of tangy flavor and the bread was warm, fluffy and fresh. Ooh! Their iced tea is brewed to near perfection and their traditional baklava is an absolutely lovely finish to any meal. Finally, the lynchpin to this trifecta is the best customer service and attention to detail that I have seen in a long time. From the skilled folks working the open grill who prepare your plate with cleanliness and care, to the cash register attendant. They have well earned each of these five stars and my continued patronage. I wish this business several more years of success, because Peña is a Yes, YES and a YESSSSS please!

This place it's kind of in a weird location because you have to walk around the building to get in. Upon getting in, I was greeted by the man at the register. He seemed very polite. However, it took my food at least 15 to 20 minutes to be done and all that I ordered was a Greek gyro. Upon presentation, it looks like it might have been an OK sandwich. However, it was very clear that the tomatoes were not fresh. After eating some of the sandwich, I noticed that the lamb was extremely salty by itself and the Taziki sauce is really gross with an overpowering flavor. There was no sign of dill. It tasted mainly like yogurt. I will not be back.

What a difference it makes when you are warmly greeted as soon as you enter an establishment! The manager not only made us feel welcome, but he made sure we were enjoying our meal by stopping by our table as he was heading out. The bowls were filling and the amount of gyro was generous. The items in the glass case by the register (baklavas, dolmas) look fresh and there's plenty of parking.

We usually eat at a different Mediterranean restaurant. But since they're really pricy we decided to try this spot. This place isn't cheap either, but I think it's a little less expensive. I ordered the chicken kebab platter. It came with a salad and side so I got hummus and a Greek salad. It came with yellow rice, too. I added two pieces of falafel for $1.75. My husband got a chicken wrap with fries. The verdict.... My food was pretty tasty but the chicken was very tough and dry. If I didn't have the hummus and tzatzkik sauce I would have been disappointed. The hummus was good but it was a little spicy for me. Everything else was fine. My husband said his wrap was dry too and needed sauce. Overall, a pretty good experience, but I do prefer our other spot where the chicken is tender, the hummus is perfect and the rice pilaf is incredible.

AVOID THIS LOCATION!…read more My family that resides in Clt started coming to this location because of the proximity to their house, but after this past visit on June 20th, none of us will ever be back again after the absolute awful service! And, as anyone knows, you can have amazing food, but if the people and service are terrible that can ruin any dining experience! We were sat in an almost empty restaurant just after 8pm; the waiter came to take our order and was very engaging initially. We were a party of 6, so we were going to order 4 diff apps prior to the mixed grill which is what we always get. We ordered the hummus, falafel (2 orders because only 6 come per order), baba ganoush, and beef sambousa. We were told they were "out" of the baba ganoush & sambousas cuz they would have to make them and it would take like an hr...this sounded odd cuz umm, don't you make all your food to order?? This immediately put both my stepmom (who is Moroccan) and myself off and we were actually going to leave, but we were introducing my brother's GF to this ethnic food style & him + my dad convinced us to stay, so we just added salad and lentil bean soups). We ordered drinks (the GF & I were the only ones that didn't order sodas; she ordered a pot of Karak tea for her + I to share & I ordered a sparkling water). After 10mins no drinks in sight we were like "ummm?" then at just over 15mins they brought us the apps but no drinks?!? The drinks came separately a few mins later...all except the tea. For $3 on the menu I expected a bottled sparkling water, instead I got flat water from the soda fountain. I told the waiter this and he said he'd try again and if it wasn't "sparkling" then what did I want to drink instead...I said just a filtered water w/lemon. We were missing an order of falafel (were told they only had the one order and would have to wait for the 2nd, so we just canceled it; again whyTF did they not have anything on the menu at 8pm on a Sat!?) and they only brought one basket of pita for the hummus; we asked for a 2nd basket. The lentil soup (my stepmom makes better at home) + salads were mid at best. 20mins later they bring the main course, but we still had not gotten the pot of tea we ordered nor did the guy ever come back w/my "sparkling" or plain water...we'd had enough of this horrible service & I went in search of someone (the place again was empty & I could not find our waiter or anyone anywhere). Finally I see this lady who had attitude (I have a sneaking suspicion she pretended not to understand english when convenient) when I asked WTAF was up w/my water & the tea! Again, another 10mins w/neither showing up at the table...we were also still waiting for the 2nd basket of pita, but it was moot as we'd already begun to eat the main dish...my stepmom went to the lady & spoke to her in arabic and was like "where is her water and where is her tea!?" the lady said she was sorry she didn't know we didn't get them (BS btw) that's when my stepmom asked to speak to the mgr. We also wanted to order Knfa for dessert, so my stepmom told the lady we were ordering 3 now since they were taking forever to get anything to us, and if they didn't bring them when we were done eating, we would not be paying for them. THAT part seemed to get through at least! Halfway (almost an hr at this point) through the meal they finally come w/my water and the pot of Karak tea. At this point we hadn't seen the male waiter who took our order initially; he shows up & is acting huffy (the audacity tbh!) & tries telling me he never said he'd bring a 2nd sparkling or reg water & when both me and my stepmom (cuz she was sitting next to me & heard the exchange called him out) he got all defensive & said "well I guess I misunderstood" so then we are like "why an hr for the tea?" "Wellll, that's how long it takes to make!" I called BS & told him if that was the case he should have told us that expectation when we initially ordered! He then goes "Well I had to go to storage to find it cuz we were out!" K, howTF is that OUR problem!? Just tell us that so we know what to expect!? No apology was made and we were not credited for the tea nor the $3 sparkling water which I never received. Also, received the Knfa (shockingly, right after the meal) but it was served w/o the pistachios it was supposed to come with. When asked for them, we were told they were "out"...because of course they were! Absolutely HORRIBLE staff and service here; the food was good tho, but when u have an experience like that it still leaves a bad taste!

The interior is beautiful, but the real star is the food (and our waitress, who we were fortunate enough to get both times--she's fantastic!). Plumb forgot her name twice now The portions are so generous that the hubby and I have started a "share everything" policy just so we can sample more of the menu. The Lamb Chops are sizeable, perfectly seasoned, and actually taste like they would in Greece. The Hummus. It's rustic, flavorful, and took me straight back to the streets of Greece. Pair that with their juicy Greek Meatballs, and you're in possible food coma! They also boast an all-Greek wine list, which is a nice authentic touch. While they have a great patio, it's been a bit too chilly for us lately, but the indoor vibe is just as lovely. Authentic flavor, great service, and a wine list that actually knows its grapes--definitely a 5-star gem in the Queen City!

I didn't want yellow rice, so I ordered the potatoes and cauliflower as my sides. The sides were $9 each, and the portions were very generous. However, both needed more seasoning or salt. The chicken, on the other hand, was a little too salty and had several burned pieces. I understand that some people enjoy charred chicken, but this was too much char for my preference. I also strongly prefer white meat and assumed the kebabs would be made with chicken breast, but they contained a mixture of white and dark meat. Garlic sauce is usually my favorite part when ordering from similar restaurants, but I did not enjoy the garlic sauce here. It tasted more like sour cream mixed with garlic, which was unusual and not what I expected. The cauliflower was also different from what I anticipated. I expected battered, fried cauliflower, but it appeared to be a large piece of plain cauliflower dipped directly into hot oil. There was also a significant amount of oil pooled at the bottom of the container. Overall, the portions were generous and the delivery was timely, but the flavors and preparation just weren't for me.
