We tried multiple different items to get a feel for the menu including lamb kabobs, baba ganouj, grape leaves, hummus, and salad. I didn't take pictures because we ate everything too quickly. Good for takeout Mediterranean dishes -- I had the kafta kabab plate, with rice and tabbouleh (normally it would come with salad). The kafta was delicious, the tabbouleh was fragrant and tasty - sadly, the rice wasn't warm. This is a tiny restaurant in a mini-mall on a busy street -- While you could go there, in general I suspect that most of their business is takeout - there is little appealing about the interior of the restaurant. The only person working appeared to be the owner, and he covered both the register and the kitchen. Was craving some Mediterranean for lunch today and found this place online. I went during lunch, and it was not as busy as I thought it would be. I placed my order and was told there was a 25-minute wait, which no biggie. I ordered the Lamb Gyro with fries and an order of Falafel. The Falafel was amazing!!!!!!! Had just enough crisp to it and was very, very tasteful. The lamb gyro was not bad. The lamb was very flavorful. Now the gyro was more of like a wrap, and the wrap, unfortunately, was a bit too hard for me. It was hard for me to bite down and chew. I'm not sure what happened there, but I just wish it was a bit warmer and softer for me to chew. Either way, it was delicious, and I will be coming back to try other things on their menu. Wow. That is the first word that comes to mind. I am Lebanese, and I have NEVER had Mediterranean food of this poor quality in Charlotte since moving here in 2008. Nothing is authentic or even produced of decent quality. The fattoush doesn't even taste like fattoush...vinegar base? No idea. Edible, but NOT fattoush. The tabouli is DRY, no wheat (at least not noticeable), flavorless. I can see they were going for Lebanese style too with being parsley forward, but wow...complete fail. The grape leaves??? My Sittee would be appalled...sour, completely off, and the leaves tough. And not sour in a lemon juice forward way, but sour in a bad way. The Laban was edible...all garlic, touch of mint, basic yogurt...nothing to proud of though. Last but not least...WHAT was the "lamb"...dry, overcooked, ridiculously small quantity on a bed of wilted, old lettuce as garnish. I can't...as my friend said, "Shut up, the fact they thought it was okay to even serve that is crazyyyyy." Do not order from here and think you are getting anything close to authentic, quality, Mediterranean food. I would expect this in a small town with being the only option.
