2026 Mar 31: 1) lamb kebab ( they are out of lamb chops! ) comes with yellow rice, one side - choose lentil soup 2) chicken kebab with yellow rice and house salad, 3) hummus plate 4) lentil soup. Hummus is pretty good but the best are the kebabs - both lamb and chicken are excellent! Yellow rice is tasty too. Lentil soup was not as good as what we had in Türkiye.

Have been coming to Jasmine for years and introduced my buddy to them the other day. Looks like they changed ownership and updated the decor but still have the same flavors and tasty dishes. We got the grilled chicken kabobs, hummus, rice and salad. The garlic sauce is the best!! Great for take out or dine in. Check them out if you want a filling and balanced meal with lean protein. Perfect for post workout fuel.

I love this place I would love to try the lamb chops next. I have a three meat(shrimp, beef, chicken) kabob plate with yellow rice and bell peppers red onions. There was a salad with a very strong lemon flavor that I didn't really care for but it taste very healthy. All the meat had so much flavor packed in cooked to perfection cost about $25-$30 a plate

Here we were eating at this delicious restaurant again! Let me tell you this - the food is delicious. The customer service is great! The price is a bit high for what we got but I don't blame this restaurant- that my friends is the economy we have in Washington DC right now driving our prices out of control. (End of politics rant ) The price for both of us was about 22 bucks each and considering we ate delicious lamb, two huge bowls lentil soup , two different kinds of hummus and drinks - I have no complaints. It is delicious food ! If you don't try it - you've missed out.

On our way back from the airport my mom and I stopped for lunch at Jasmine Grill. It had terrific reviews on yelp and was only about 3 miles from our location at the time so off we went. My mom loves Mediterranean food, especially lamb. I will never turn down a chicken Shawarma plate and this one boasted being carved off the traditional vertical rotisserie which is not as common in the US. We both had a choice of two side items with our main entrée. We both chose the yellow rice and a side salad. Our side salad isn't pictured, but it was full of vegetables, particularly tomatoes and cucumbers. A delicious vinaigrette on it and had the addition of mint, which was a very pleasant flavor. When our main entrée came out, we were both surprised how generous the portion was. Prices for entrées ranged between $14-$18 but we both felt it was a great value. Neither of us finished our rice, which was delicious, but we just didn't have room after eating, our generous portion of meat. One thing I do want to point out is that we fell in love with the little cup of garlic paste they served alongside our dish. we both could not get enough of that! We asked our server what was in it and he said it was just garlic and salt and a little oil. I promptly went to my car after we had finished and looked up recipes how to make it. Jasmine Grill is not a fancy place in anyway. In fact, I feel like they could improve the interior a little bit but really the food is the star of the show here and the decor in the restaurant and the ambience are of minor importance. Our server was kind and we received our food very quickly. The service was not over the top friendly or anything like that, but we were not ignored by any means and very much enjoyed our meal. I wish I lived closer to Jasmine Grill because I know this would be a regular stop. If you have a smaller appetite, you could easily share one of the plates between two people.

The food here is excellent ! I got the beef and lamb Shawarma ($16) with yellow rice. It was fantastic with whatever the spicy green sauce and yogurt-like sauce is that came with it. Their baba ganoush was also excellent. It had several very thin pita breads with it. For appetizers, we ordered the meat pies (one of each - 3 for $11). The bread is incredibly soft. One had cheese in the middle, one had a meat mixture in the middle, and I haven't tried the 3rd one yet. However, the 2 that I tried were very good ! The only slight disappointment was the grape leaves. They were very thin with not much filling for $9. My friend got the chicken shawarma and she said her food was really good. Our service was pleasant and our food was served very quickly. They do not charge a card fee. The atmosphere is just so-so for a strip mall setting. However, the food is so good that I'll be coming back with my husband so that he can try it. I know he will love it.

Lunch while waiting for my car to get serviced, Jasmine Grill was busy with families and smelling delicious. I chose the Chicken Shawarma platter and mostly sorta a little tried to be keto. The labneh was excellent and firm and tasty. Chicken was a little spicy and very flavorful and moist. Hummus was absolutely excellent - the right consistency and thickness that I really enjoy. With a big basket of fresh pita bread quarters and I ate one or two. $20 for lunch (with tip, no drink). Not bad for a big meal.

This is just an update of what we have a few days ago at this Jasmine Grill after I met two new friends. We all were volunteers at Trump's rally in Charlotte. The two new friends have heritage from Middle East. And I have a new visitor from HongKong, he loves new food. I then suggested this place to see how they would grade the food. We ordered kabobs, Shawarma. They all enjoyed the food and gave good comments. We ordered coffee, just they didn't have cinnamon. Other than that, everything was very good.

Ive been here many times and they never missed. The Lamb and Beef plate was excellent. The Lamb and beef was cooked with loads of flavor with tenderness in the center. The plate came with two sauces. The yellow rice was seasoned well. The plate came with a garlic and spicy sauce. The garlic sauce was very good! and went well with the dish. The service was great with the waitress explaining the things on the menu. She was nice and prompt. The atmosphere is relaxed.

I have been eating at this place for many years. Their food is delicious and very flavorful so I don't know if people have been complaining about their food recently but my chicken Kabob was severely over cooked to the point I thought I was eating beef jerky. It was very hard and dry. The restaurant should really invest in meat thermometers if they can't cook the chicken breast properly. Everyone knows that chicken breast can be very dry if you over cook it. I would like to continue to patronize the restaurant but I just can't if they are going to severely over cook the chicken. Please please please invest in a meat thermometer to ensure that the meat is not over or under cooked. Thank you.

I ordered the lamb chops with Jasmine rice that had grilled veggies on the side and hummus. The lamb chops were seasoned well and cooked to medium per my request. For $32, and I know lamb is costly, maybe buy some meatier chops. One bite and they were gone. Other than that, My order also included a side of hot pita bread and garlic paste. The food was ordered thru GrubHub. It took about an hour or so, and was cold upon delivery. Not sure if that's on the restaurant or GrubHub. However, I was too hungry to bother heating anything up and the flavors were wonderful. So, if I heated it up, I can only imagine how much more the flavors would be. Anyway, if you're in Charlotte, give them a try! Possibly try pick up or even dine it. Just get here! It's worth checking out!

We started with the Prosciutto carpaccio and the Whipped Ricotta appetizers to share. Both of those were pretty good and the bread that came along with it was good too. It was grilled and nice and crispy. For drinks, one of my friends ordered the rosé wine flight, I ordered their house red wine, and my other friend ordered wine as well. The wine selection was good so we are pleased with that. It was our main entrées that we ordered that we were not pleased with. For example, I ordered the steak skewer, which I understood would be a small plate, but when it came out to find that it was just one skewer was a little bit misleading, and I wish that I had ordered something else because that was not enough for my dinner. Our server didn't come back to check on us after our food arrived so I wasn't even able to add any more small plates. In addition, my friend did not enjoy her pasta at all, and I tried to bite, and it was not good. Only my friend who ordered the Bolognese pasta was pleased with her dinner choice. Due to our server not coming back to our table to check on us and also didn't really give us suggestions of what to order or how to order I wasn't very pleased with our experience. I don't know if I would come back because honestly, the meal was pretty mid for how expensive it was priced. The inside of the restaurant is cute and the patio as well but the food is mid and expensive for the service to be so poor.

One of my favorite spots back then was Nick the Greek--the bowls were simple, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. So naturally, I went on a little search mission here to find something that could scratch that same itch. That's how I landed at Yaffo Kitchen. Close, but no cigar--but still very good. I visit both the Dilworth location off East Boulevard and the Plaza Midwood spot fairly often, and they've become dependable places when I'm craving Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere is casual, bright, and welcoming. I especially appreciate the option to sit inside when it's blazing hot outside, and when the weather is nice, their covered patio with umbrellas is a great place to linger over a meal. Now let's talk about the schnitzel--because that's the star for me. I know schnitzel isn't the first thing people expect at a Mediterranean-style restaurant, but they do it right. It's made to order, thin, crispy, and coated in panko, served with a fresh slice of lemon that brings everything together. I usually pair it with a side salad, but if the mac and cheese is piping hot that day, that's my backup plan. Another thing I really enjoy is their drink selection. They carry Tractor beverages--non-carbonated organic teas made with cane sugar and no high-fructose corn syrup or preservatives. There are several flavors to choose from, and they're refreshing without being overly sweet. It's a small detail, but one I genuinely appreciate. I've also had the roasted chicken, which was surprisingly excellent--juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being heavy. And the pita? Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. One lesson I've learned the hard way: edit yourself when building a bowl. The first few times I went, I got excited and piled on too many toppings, and everything blended into one big, goopy situation where you couldn't really taste anything distinctly. It's like wearing all your favorite accessories at once--individually they're beautiful, but together they compete with each other. Less really is more here, and once you find the right balance, the flavors shine. Prices are reasonable for the quality, service is quick, and the restaurants are consistently clean and well-run. I believe they offer beer and wine as well, though I usually stick to the teas. While I'm still on the hunt for that exact bowl I used to love back in California--simple, balanced, and unforgettable--Yaffo Kitchen has definitely earned a regular spot in my rotation. Check it out, experiment with the menu, find your palate's favorites, and remember: life is too short not to eat well.
