(7/29/26) I had the good fortune to be able to eat at Zeitouni's this evening. I ordered Schwarma, Baba Ganoosh & a fountain drink. I chose lemonade. The restaurant has a Mediterranean theme. There is a large photo collection from Lebanon on one wall. Diners have a view of the kitchen. The staff work together in the type of team that gets everything accomplished. My food was out in a quick and timely manner and it was so good. I hope to return soon. read more

Just visited for the first time and got the mixed grill kabob platter. The taste: 10/10 -- everything was seasoned well. 0/10 -- the portions. These were not even full kabob skewers. The meat pieces were so tiny. My platter was supposed to come with "pepper and onions" in addition to the meat, and the pieces of pepper were SO TINY and there were literally 2 pieces. I would love to come back here, but I'm not sure it's worth it. My meal was $20 and that did not correlate with the portion size at all. read more

I'm picky about hummus, and the hummus here was exactly how I'd like- creamy, good flavor, soft pita. The fattoush salad was also very good with fresh ingredients and not overdressed. The baklava had good flavor but was a little dry for my liking. Overall, good value for the cost for a quick, healthy meal. read more

Understand I come from a MEastern heritage. Hummus was probably the best part of the meal. Creamy. Basic flavourful. The chicken was rubbery, the beef tough side and the kafta lacked seasoning. Falafel was like nothing I have tasted authentically.normally the inside is greenish from the parsley. This was not. Had fava beans. Not authentic where I am a from. Tabouleh was a zero. The stalks were not cut up , flavour not not even close to what it should be. Service was excellent and saving grace.it is self ordering but a crew person was there to help and did An amazing job. Ambiance is ok. Very noisy. Came I. At 12/30 pm. So would I come back ? Authentic Lebanese food. Falafel was fresh made instead of frozen. The pickles with the side were amazing. Lentil soup was clearly home made. Beef shawarma was very well seasoned and perfectly flavored, could have eaten two of them. The service was quick. The staff doesn't speak much English but were friendly. The owner makes the food. Got introduced to this place by a co worker of mine in late 2025 and have been coming back ever since. Service and food is some of the best in the Ballantyne/South CLT area. I always get the Chicken Tawooq Special with spicy garlic sauce and it always hits the spot. Fries are always fresh and the sweet tea is the perfect compliment to an already flavorful meal. This is the first Lebanese/Middle Eastern food I've had in Charlotte that wasn't part of a chain. I thought the food was OK, but unremarkable. Granted, I'm accustomed to having a lot of options for this cuisine in the New York New Jersey area so that may be skewing my opinion. I thought the food was moist and fresh, but not the most flavorful. Prices were also a little steep for the portion sizes. We were pretty impressed with this restaurant. The customer service was very good and so was the food. We ordered a variety of items to try. Mediterranean food is my absolute favorite so I was delighted to try some new things. The favorites were the "special" which is the wrap item on the right of my photo. It was a chicken dish and very very good. We loved the potatoes and the hummus was fresh and delicious. The chicken and beef was very good as well. We would definitely return and order the potatoes and chicken special. The food you see in this photo plus a side of potatoes and a few falafel appetizer bites was $47. 4 stars only because there was room for improvement with the ordering screen cleanliness, the soda machine had some items out of order, and the utensils bent when cutting food. Also great because it isn't the chipotle-service style Mediterranean that seems to be popular - where they just throw everything all together in a bowl. Excellent humus and baba and salads. Looking forward to trying the wraps... Great menu. Only opportunity for improvement is their hot sauce. I think it was Sriracha or Siracha mixed with garlic/mayonnaise. It would be great if the staff here could communicate clearly. I simply wanted a beef shish kabob to go. The girl at the register and the cook didn't know understand. I showed them a picture they had on their menu. She thought I wanted a wrap. Then she said, oh you want the platter. I mean really, is it that hard? I got the kabob, it was 4 tiny pieces of beef with huge chunks of green pepper and onions. I ordered the falafel which was OK. The lamb gyro was not bad. This restaurant is so good! It has Mediterranean/Lebanese food and it super authentic! I stumbled upon it while looking for a good, quick lunch. To my surprise, it was PACKED! That was a good sign because it meant the food was good. As the sign said - authentic, fresh and healthy. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful when trying to figure out what to order! There is a good amount of seating inside between tables and high-tops. There is a cool wall mural map as well. During the lunch time rush, the line gets long, but goes pretty quickly and the food comes out quickly as well. It's located in the Earth Fare shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. I usually get the beef or the chicken shawarma combo meal. Fantastic food! The seasoning on these fries mixed with some spicy garlic sauce is a winning combination! Then can we talk about this wrap???!!!! It is seasoned TO THE GODS!!!! Absolutely amazing! I like mine on the grill a little longer because that crunch with the sauce and tender meat is heavenly. 10/10 would recommend! The staff is also really sweet and helpful! Three stars because the service was fast and the baba was good. It wasn't bad, but the servings were small and not as expected. Overall, I don't understand the hype. Given the other Mediterranean options in the area, I would not go back. Per the picture, the baba appetizer was served with one very thin pita. That is not an appetizer. The salad had one single olive and little feta. It was advertised as a salad with feta cheese and olives. It was chocked full of cucumber, which I don't like. There were also tomatoes, which I don't mind, but given people's dietary restrictions they should serve their dishes as advertised. Or at the very least include what they advertise. read more

Zeitouni Grill is a hidden gem in the Toringdon Market Strip Mall. I've been out to this area several times but never really shopped area in the area. I'm so glad I found Zeitouni Grill on Yelp's Top 100 from 2018. During my visit the restaurant was busy but not super busy. My group was able to find a table and easily place an order. The atmosphere is very casual and family friendly. I can tell they have loads of regulars. I ordered the Gyro Platter with Babba Ghanouj and Falafel. I judge Mediterranean restaurants hard core on their falafel and theirs passed with flying colors. The falafel had great crunch and amazing flavor. The gyro meat also was very flavorful! The basically melts in your mouth. I was overwhelmed with the portions and had to take a good amount home. I was hoping that my meal came out on one of the wooden boards but it didn't. Only a couple of the platters come out in those boards but the cashier I believe her name was Katie said she would take care of me next time! Food is good and is made to order pretty quickly. Only bad thing i would say is they close at very random times of the day without notifying the public. My only suggestion would be if you're going to close for lunch or short staff, make sure your website and google know that too. Because wasting time to drive 15mins for doors to be locked (on a Thursday @3pm) but the sign on the door says Open Mon-Fri @11am-9pm, is very much an inconvenience and nobody wants to waste gas or wait an hour for food. I thought it was missing some more seasoning and the portion of food for the wrap I though was a little small or it wasn't wrapped properly. This is definitely one of the worst places I have been too for Mediterranean food. I have lived in the north east and have had some of the best and this place was so below every Mediterranean place I have been too. I had the chicken shawarma and it was so disgusting that after 2 bites I had to throw it out, I went here a long time ago and didn't have a good experience and wanted to try it again and it failed miserably. You can even see all the bread that they are using is not fresh and pulled straight out of plastic bags. Do not go here, I don't understand why there are any good reviews for this place. read more

Zeitouni Grill took me on an unexpected trip back to the streets of Beirut where these same flavors are served. It's in the small details like the fresh thin bread, the garlic sauce that is just right, the pickles that taste exactly like "our own". Every little bite filled the void that this expat has in her heart. Some of the things we sampled: Batata harra, the zaatar manoucheh, kabob, shish tawook, fattoush and the baklava.
