Front counter and self ordering points

Understand I come from a MEastern heritage. Hummus was probably the best part of the meal. Creamy. Basic flavourful. The chicken was rubbery, the beef tough side and the kafta lacked seasoning. Falafel was like nothing I have tasted authentically.normally the inside is greenish from the parsley. This was not. Had fava beans. Not authentic where I am a from. Tabouleh was a zero. The stalks were not cut up , flavour not not even close to what it should be. Service was excellent and saving grace.it is self ordering but a crew person was there to help and did An amazing job. Ambiance is ok. Very noisy. Came I. At 12/30 pm. So would I come back ? No. I gave a 2 just because of the crew taking our order , otherwise would have been a 1 Again this is from a person who grew up with authentic Arabic food.

Gyros Combo Meal

I arrived just in time before the lunch rush so I was able to order quickly and sit down to enjoy my meal. The gyro was delicious, but I wasn't a super fan of the tzatziki sauce. The mint taste was a bit over powering. The fries were delicious and seasoned well. This place is very popular and many other dishes caught my eye so I would love to go back to try more!

Shawarma - beef

Authentic Lebanese food. Falafel was fresh made instead of frozen. The pickles with the side were amazing. Lentil soup was clearly home made. Beef shawarma was very well seasoned and perfectly flavored, could have eaten two of them. The service was quick. The staff doesn't speak much English but were friendly. The owner makes the food. The place was clean with enough seating for a quick grab and go place.

This is the first Lebanese/Middle Eastern food I've had in Charlotte that wasn't part of a chain. I thought the food was OK, but unremarkable. Granted, I'm accustomed to having a lot of options for this cuisine in the New York New Jersey area so that may be skewing my opinion. I thought the food was moist and fresh, but not the most flavorful. Prices were also a little steep for the portion sizes. I would try it again, but my search for the best Middle Eastern food in Charlotte continues.

Falafel Wrap

Was looking for a quick and flavorful lunch and decided on Zeitouni. I was and still am blown away by the authenticity, homemade quality ingredients, and rich flavors I got to partake of. Reminded me so much of genuine Lebanese food. Ordering is all contactless and done via touchscreen and a well-done fast experience. Biggest regret was not having time in my day to order more. With question, my new favorite Mediterranean place Cannot wait to go back.

L: Mixed Platter Back: fattoush R: Chicken Special Not including the Potato Harra which was delicious

We were pretty impressed with this restaurant. The customer service was very good and so was the food. We ordered a variety of items to try. Mediterranean food is my absolute favorite so I was delighted to try some new things. The favorites were the "special" which is the wrap item on the right of my photo. It was a chicken dish and very very good. We loved the potatoes and the hummus was fresh and delicious. The chicken and beef was very good as well. We would definitely return and order the potatoes and chicken special. The food you see in this photo plus a side of potatoes and a few falafel appetizer bites was $47. 4 stars only because there was room for improvement with the ordering screen cleanliness, the soda machine had some items out of order, and the utensils bent when cutting food. Overall, not that big of a deal but prevented me from giving 5 stars.

It would be great if the staff here could communicate clearly. I simply wanted a beef shish kabob to go. The girl at the register and the cook didn't know understand. I showed them a picture they had on their menu. She thought I wanted a wrap. Then she said, oh you want the platter. I mean really, is it that hard? I got the kabob, it was 4 tiny pieces of beef with huge chunks of green pepper and onions. I ordered the falafel which was OK. The lamb gyro was not bad. This was all during the Coronavirus crisis so I hope they can get it together, otherwise, they aren't going to make it

This restaurant is so good! It has Mediterranean/Lebanese food and it super authentic! I stumbled upon it while looking for a good, quick lunch. To my surprise, it was PACKED! That was a good sign because it meant the food was good. As the sign said - authentic, fresh and healthy. The staff was beyond friendly and helpful when trying to figure out what to order! There is a good amount of seating inside between tables and high-tops. There is a cool wall mural map as well. During the lunch time rush, the line gets long, but goes pretty quickly and the food comes out quickly as well. It's located in the Earth Fare shopping center, so there is plenty of parking. If you are in the area, you must try Zeitouni!

Beef Shawarma Special Combo Meal

I usually get the beef or the chicken shawarma combo meal. Fantastic food! The seasoning on these fries mixed with some spicy garlic sauce is a winning combination! Then can we talk about this wrap???!!!! It is seasoned TO THE GODS!!!! Absolutely amazing! I like mine on the grill a little longer because that crunch with the sauce and tender meat is heavenly. 10/10 would recommend! The staff is also really sweet and helpful! I'm definitely a regular at this point because these wraps have a hold on me! I love this place! Keep up the great work guys!

They have a huge menu with plenty of options, and everything we tried tasted great. It's primarily a restaurant, but you can also buy packed food items which is a nice bonus. We thoroughly enjoyed the food here. They served generous portions of babaganoush and hummus -- both were delicious. They also gave us complimentary lentil soup, and it was surprisingly good. For entrees, we ordered the lamb shank, which was juicy, tender, and absolutely amazing. The adana kabab was top notch with incredible flavor. The chicken shawarma and chicken kabab could have been a bit more tender, but still enjoyable overall. They also have a large selection of desserts on the menu, so definitely save some room if you can. Overall, we had a great experience at La Shish Kabob -- warm hospitality, big portions, and flavorful food. Would definitely go back!

As someone who spent years in the San Francisco Bay Area, I really missed having reliable…read moreMediterranean and Greek options when I moved to Charlotte. One of my favorite spots back then was Nick the Greek--the bowls were simple, flavorful, and consistently satisfying. So naturally, I went on a little search mission here to find something that could scratch that same itch. That's how I landed at Yaffo Kitchen. Close, but no cigar--but still very good. I visit both the Dilworth location off East Boulevard and the Plaza Midwood spot fairly often, and they've become dependable places when I'm craving Mediterranean flavors. The atmosphere is casual, bright, and welcoming. I especially appreciate the option to sit inside when it's blazing hot outside, and when the weather is nice, their covered patio with umbrellas is a great place to linger over a meal. Now let's talk about the schnitzel--because that's the star for me. I know schnitzel isn't the first thing people expect at a Mediterranean-style restaurant, but they do it right. It's made to order, thin, crispy, and coated in panko, served with a fresh slice of lemon that brings everything together. I usually pair it with a side salad, but if the mac and cheese is piping hot that day, that's my backup plan. Another thing I really enjoy is their drink selection. They carry Tractor beverages--non-carbonated organic teas made with cane sugar and no high-fructose corn syrup or preservatives. There are several flavors to choose from, and they're refreshing without being overly sweet. It's a small detail, but one I genuinely appreciate. I've also had the roasted chicken, which was surprisingly excellent--juicy, well-seasoned, and satisfying without being heavy. And the pita? Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. One lesson I've learned the hard way: edit yourself when building a bowl. The first few times I went, I got excited and piled on too many toppings, and everything blended into one big, goopy situation where you couldn't really taste anything distinctly. It's like wearing all your favorite accessories at once--individually they're beautiful, but together they compete with each other. Less really is more here, and once you find the right balance, the flavors shine. Prices are reasonable for the quality, service is quick, and the restaurants are consistently clean and well-run. I believe they offer beer and wine as well, though I usually stick to the teas. While I'm still on the hunt for that exact bowl I used to love back in California--simple, balanced, and unforgettable--Yaffo Kitchen has definitely earned a regular spot in my rotation. Check it out, experiment with the menu, find your palate's favorites, and remember: life is too short not to eat well.
