We heard about this place from a woman at Harris Teeter and knew it was a no frills joint beforehand. But she raved about the food and pricing so we decided to check it out for lunch one day. I'm all for a dive spot so none of that bothers me in the slightest. My only issue was that the food wasn't seasoned AT ALL. I ordered the fried fish sandwich and fries, super simple. Not a lick of salt, pepper, onion powder, nothing. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. I ate about half and was all set. My boyfriend ordered the bacon burger and loved it. I took a bite and it was delicious. I don't know what happened with my meal but hey. The place was packed though. I don't think I'd eat here again. Besides the bland food the inside was pretty in need of some upgrades. The ceiling above our table was falling apart and dark brown, not very appetizing. I have always liked off the grill but have not been there for a while. Normally, I got a cheeseburger but tonight I got the Philly, which was really good and you cannot beat the prices!! At the front counter they had a young man named Alex working and I dont think I have ever had such a polite young man wait on me. We were in the area and came across this small local restaurant. It is located in a strip mall, all the way on the end. Upon walking in, we were greeted immediately. I ordered a classic cheeseburger with fries and a sweet tea. The food came out fairly quickly. As far as taste, it was good. I didn't realize until after the different sides I could have gotten besides fries, otherwise I would have tried their potato salad. The burger was good, tasted fresh and not like a frozen patty. As far as sweet tea, I'm picky and a southerner, so would not get that again. The tea tasted old, like it had been sitting around all day or the urn it was in was not cleaned properly. I have driven by this restaurant for years yet never tried it. Well I finally did. The inside was unimpressive. You walk in and walk to the counter where you place your order. It is very similar to a fast food restaurant. The menu is listed above on the wall. They offer several items - from burgers, corn dogs to Philly cheesesteak and grilled chicken sandwiches. So I placed my order but felt uncomfortable standing there waiting. Thankfully they have a drive up for pick up. I left, waited 15 minutes as they requested, went to drive in and picked up my meal. The food was fine. While they are "known" for their burgers I didn't find them to be something I would rush back for. They were...just a burger. Everything was hot ...that I liked. You order at the register/counter and take a seat. They deliver your food to the table when it's ready. The cashier was friendly. I selected my meal from their handwritten "Most popular choices" menu. I got a flounder sandwich and my wife ordered a blackened chicken salad. When the food arrived I was kinda surprised by my sandwich. I had a different expectation of a FLOUNDER sandwich from FRESH off the grill. What I received was a bun with three deep fried oversized fish sticks in the middle. The side of slaw was not made in-house. It wasn't very good and tasted like something from a supermarket. There was really nothing fresh about it. The fries were nothing extraordinary but they were good. The lettuce on my wife's salad was fresh. This is a good spot located with the food lion and they do serve sandwiches. Their sandwiches i would say are more like lunch sandwich made at home. Pretty pain with no lettuce tomatoes or what-so ever. May be we have to request for it since i request jalapeños on most of my sandwich i got one with only jalapeños but most if their items are just bread and meat and i mean i can do that home without spending $$ on the food outside. Its a simple order and eat place. The inside is pretty decent. The staffs are busy but will take care of you. You place your order and sit on a side and eat. Pretty lonely vibe, so i prefer takeout from here. Also i like my food specially sandwiches with some greens too. A side of fries with break and patty wont make that a burger instead it has to had the lettuce at-least. Also they got to work on their fries, it seems and tastes like the frozen fries from costco and i could make that much better at home. Even Mc Donald's wont serve just bread and patty. But it tasted good man, i cant wait to see how it would taste if i could customize it with some green and try this place again. Never eat here! We ate here once before and were very happy with our food and service. Came back 2/7/2022 around 6 for dinner and I ordered a burger and my husband ordered their chili cheese fries. My burger was cold but I didn't complain since the girl working the front was so busy and I didn't want to bother her. My mistake- I ate it anyway. Now at 1am I am so sick I wish I could die! I think people get mesmerized by the cheap prices, but trust me, it's NOT worth it! We were in Concord and stopped to get something to eat. It was about 8:10 and they close at 9. We ordered and I got the grilled cheese/soup combo. They brought us our food and.I had no soup. I was already irritated with the grandkids. Went up and asked for soup. They apologized and brought it.out and it was cold. I was more irritated. A very attractive employee who was the manager was halfway sweeping the floor and talking to 2 other customers. I had every intention to post a bad review because soup was cold and she was talking more than sweeping and I didn't care how pleasing to the eye she was. I thought about it and they were about to close and probably put.the soup up. We were the only other customers in there besides her friends, so what was the big deal? Maybe she noticed me taking pics. I let her know what I expected and she said she can correct it which was very nice and appreciated. I usually get the cheeseburger or buffalo chicken salad. I really didn't know what to expect from this place. I was very impressed with the excellent customer service, food and the prices. This place is legit and the burgers are tasty. They have a variety of burgers and sandwiches to choose from and great sides. I ordered the pimento cheese burger which was piled on with the pimento cheese and extremely juicy. Not only is the food good the staff is very friendly and helpful by navigating the menu. Also on the plus side the prices are very comfortable for the quality of the product. Okay these burgers are amazing!! Most importantly they taste homemade every time and they even toast the bun!! Now their fries aren't that good in my opinion so I typically get the vegetable beef soup which is good. Every time I go there is a long line but you can place orders via the phone which helps.
