This place has been a fixture of downtown Concord for many decades. They have good burgers. They also have a really good breakfast. The staff is friendly. The place is clean. They have a 98.0 sanitation grade. They are cash only but they have an ATM next to the register. I don't veer far from the cheeseburger all the way and a cherry lemon Sundrop unless it's for breakfast. Their prices are very fair for what you receive.

In the area picking up a spare set of tires for my lawn mower so why not? Usual routine ordering from the usual menu in the usual cash-only way :-) Plenty of glass all around an open dining room with about two dozen or so tables; natural lighting on mix of bench and bucket seats but the same table top regardless. no official seating out of doors but if you walk around a bit you could find something. Came in for a little lunch: burger, small fries, med beverage with change from a ten to tip the bellhop for three bags and a hat box. You're in W-A-B you get W-A-B, no surprises here so plan accordingly. Chuckwagon is an up-graded burger: lightly breaded chopped steak plus tomato, mayo, lettuce and a pickle on top; fries are crinkle cut, crisp, and hot; odd assortment of beverages available, no Coke or orange but they do have red. no hype, no expectations, no disappointment except for the pinball. yea for regular!

Outstanding service. Easy menu to pick from and overall good, solid eats. This place was recommended to us from a coworker and I think this place is more of a nostalgia thing than it is the best eats. I just wasn't so impressed that I would rush back. The staff is great and friendly. So absolutely no complaints there but the burger was a bit on the bland side for me. I ended up picking at mine and only eating parts of it. The fries are the business but potato fried in grease can't go wrong. Onion rings are good, they seem to be a frozen variety - but I could be wrong. Cherry Lemon Soda is the business so that is a must but ours were slightly over carbonated.

It is cash only. We rerouted here since the restaurant I really wanted to eat at seems to have gone out of business. My husband has been wanting to check this place out. Seems very popular with locals. We decided to eat in since this is not remotely close to home for us. Sat at a booth with husband and felt all eyes on us. I can blend in but my husband never could. It does not help when he wears outrageous uncoordinated gym outfits. Despite the weirdness we felt, we enjoyed our burgers. The locals chatted amongst themselves and it seems like a cool diner type place to hang out at. Burgers and fries were decent. Nothing spectacular but neither terrible. Affordable. Only issue is our large drink was filled to the rim with ice and there were about 4 sips of soda in the cup. Overall impressions: Busy place. Nice employees. Decent burgers and fries. Good price-points.

Optimist Hall itself is a very food-centric, upscale food hall with a ton of vendors, so the atmosphere is energetic and fun. Seating can be a little challenging during peak dinner hours since so many people are grabbing food from different spots, but when the weather is nice there's plenty of outdoor seating. Harriet's keeps their burger formula refreshingly simple. It's a classic smash burger done right--made to order with a straightforward menu that doesn't overcomplicate things. There's usually a line, but it moves pretty quickly, and the burgers come out hot and fresh. One of the best parts of eating here is the flexibility of the food hall experience. While you're waiting, you can grab a craft beer, a glass of wine, or even browse for dessert from one of the other vendors. Insider tip: Come with a group if you can. It's a great place to share fries and let everyone explore different vendors around the hall. Parking is fairly easy with the nearby garage, which makes the whole experience even more convenient. Overall, Harriet's is a fun, delicious stop for a smash burger, especially if you're already enjoying the energy of Optimist Hall.

The place was bustling with people trying different places within the food hall. I decided to try the GOAT burger with sweet potato fries. Upon receiving my food, i was less than impressed with the appearance. Nothing like photos from other yelp reviewers and the other Johnny Roger location. It was very small portion of fries considering up charge of $2.50. The burgers bun was not toasted and it was a basic bun, cool to the touch. I noticed my burger was missing the candied bacon that was listed for the components of the burger. I went back up to ask for it and the cashier was more than helpful. She asked me if I had the onion straws on it as well and I looked only to see two small pieces. She took it upon herself to get me more to put on top. For that I was thankful. When another worker handed me my missing candied bacon, I looked at it and was slightly disgusted at the sight of floppy soggy bacon. But I went with it and went back to my table to put it on my burger. When I went to pick it up it was absolutely cold! So I went back to let them know and they took it from me and literally popped it in the microwave. At this point I'm just hungry and ready to eat. There was no crisp to the bacon at all and the candied part was basically just to douse it in some sweet syrup. So to sum it all up. I was very disappointed in the quality of the product compared to the $17 price tag. A cool not really grilled burger (assuming they were broiled or microwaved?) no grill marks, with soppy bacon and basic bun. Also they charge $4 for a sweet tea....... Just disappointment all around, except for the helpful cashier.

The restaurant was a ghost town on a Sunday evening. Maybe everyone is still eating Thanksgiving leftovers? Since there were 3 of us, we opted for an order of 3 tenders, 3 sliders, and 3 fry flavors. It was definitely enough for us to all share. The tenders were nice and crispy and the sweet chili sauce was good. I picked the Green Flag slider with bacon and pickles, very tasty. The little burger was cooked perfectly. For the fries we went with beer cheese and bacon, MW dusted, and Cajun. The Cajun were the best of the 3. The MW dust is a little on the sweet side which I didn't mind because I was dipping mine in the leftover sweet chili sauce. I was hoping to be able to pick tots as one of the 3 options but it was fries or tots, no mixing. I was also a little disappointed that the entrees options did not come with any sides. Since they were dead, the hostess was also our server. She was sweet. She answered all of our questions with ease. She didn't check back as much as I would have preferred for refills and the check but it wasn't a terrible wait. I think I was just ready to hit the road for the long ride home. They have a serious number of TVs for a sports bar so I'm sure if you are a football fan, you'll be able to watch your game, or better yet, a NASCAR race once the season starts back in February.
