    Berry topped French Toast!

The food was great and the service was quick and friendly! I also had a side of eggs and bacon that were really good too.

Veggie omelette, home fries and toast. No seasoning on anything...it was blah!

The service was good. The place is clean and was pretty much empty when I walked in to place a to go order. It took about 15 minutes to get my breakfast order. The prices were reasonable. The food was blah! I got a veggie omelette with bacon. The vegetables were over cooked and then skimmed me on the cheddar cheese. Nothing was seasoned. So if you're eating to live it's an ok place to eat. If you want to taste your food skip it

Early waffle was such a cute atmosphere. Very comfortable mom and pop style family restaurant. It is fairly small in there but we didn't have to wait for a seat. The staff was super friendly. And my food was delicious! I got 3 wings and when I say they were seasoned to perfection! Even the actual meat was seasoned not just the skin. I also had the 2 egg breakfast with hash browns and they were also good. My mom got the waffle and she really enjoyed it. She said it was good and fluffy. We definitely enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back.

Stopped here after church to grab some brunch. We dined in and were able to sit ourselves. The waitress came over within 5 mins of us sitting. Our orders were taken quickly and wait for food was not long at all. It's a cozy, mom and pop restaurant with a good southern food menu. The food was cooked to order and everything had flavor. Chicken tenders were seasoned to perfection. Would recommend to others and would def visit again.

It's small and quaint. The loaded hash was delectable. I wish the added cinnamon or vanilla to their waffles. It fell a little flat. They ran out of biscuits and salsa, so I used the jalapeño hotsauce, which was decent. Our sever forgot to place their order, and they waited over an hour for food. Mine came immediately (I was late), which prompted them to ask where their plates were. They also got their eggs mixed around. I thought the food was just "ok"; nothing to write home about. However, I did find the eggs light and fluffy, though. So, it was a win for me!

My daughter and I popped in here for an impromptu brunch. The restaurant is small and cozy. Norma, was our waitress she welcomed us in and offered us a table. Norma, was very personable and friendly. My waffle wasn't bad but definitely 5 star presentation, however. My daughter had buffalo wings and fries. They were good. This is a brunch spot that closes at 3 PM. It's a great place to pop in to grab some bites in between meals. Mimosa's would be great but they don't serve alcohol.... yet.

    Waffle best thing ever!

Great service. Loved my waffle. Sausage was not a good patty. I wish they had real patties. Western omelette was very tasty. Coffee was pretty bland. They need a better blend.

Visited the Early Waffle on a Sunday morning. This place is rather small. This restaurant has a Mom and Pop feel. The menu is straight to the point. There is nothing over the top or fancy about the restaurant or menu. The staff was friendly and the service was good. I will definitely revisit.

They have two locations, and we visited the Rozzelles Ferry location, which was a great choice because there was more parking available. I went to Josh's Farmers market on a day I knew this truck would be there. IG pics looked great and I knew it was something my niece would enjoy. We arrived around 1pm on a Sunday afternoon and I just about stopped dead in my tracks when I saw the 30 or so people in line. However, we drove from Huntersville, and although it wasn't super far it was enough of a hassle that I didn't want to turn around and leave. So we waited. For. An. Hour. Plus. 15. Minutes. I was pretty annoyed because I had gone there somewhat hungry - silly me, not knowing how small the novelty waffles are. By the time we'd waited over an hour I also had an unhappy child who was hungry too. Finally just after 2:15 it was our turn to order. My niece wanted the original, she didn't want all the extra stuff. I wanted the Nutella/strawberry waffle and I kid you not.. they gave the last one to the woman who ordered before me. Unbelievable. I was too through.. and also by the time we got our order at about 2:30, we were starving and that little waffle did not do the job. They were tasty.. just know this is a treat, a dessert, not filling at all. I didn't expect it to be filling, I just expected them to be bigger. I do feel they are reasonably priced based on the size... but we stopped for pizza on the way home. There was one person taking orders and the other was making the orders. The woman making the orders could have used a hand. I can't understand why it took her so long to put 2-4 toppings on a waffle, but the order prep took forever. Keep this in mind if you visit .. be prepared to wait and eat a meal in advance. I'd try it again because the waffle was good, but I wouldn't wait an hour, it wasn't worth a wait that long IMO.

On every visit to Charlotte, I stop here 2-3 times, whether it's to meet up with friends and colleagues for lunch, to grab a quite bite before evening plans, to spend happy hours and dinners on that delightful back patio or to pick up that insane vegan dessert I've been craving. I mean, can it get any better than a spread of vegan elote corn, nachos smothered with beans, seitan, guac/queso/crema or my new favorite, the crunch wrap with a glass of something icy cold (I usually get a glass of something sparkling at the back bar). Since my last review almost 5 years ago, they sadly removed the matcha cruffin (that I still can't get out of my head!) and added in an entire display of sugary/spicy/chocolatey greatness (I'm still kicking myself for being too late on my way to the airport to get that lemon bar I'd been eying or the pumpkin BUNDT CAKE, ffs. Person taking our order was rude. Asked what he would recommend as a side given that we'd never been to the restaurant before. He just listed off all the sides and appeared annoyed by the question. We finished our order and he then cancels the tip screen and I didn't know why. He asks if I want a receipt and I say sure. Then I notice that they have an automatic "service charge" of 15% that isn't advertised anywhere in the restaurant. I'm not necessarily against restaurants doing this but it should be advertised. Also, you should have service if you're going to charge a "service charge." Our service consisted of a counter order and then someone who eventually brought out our food. Water was never even refilled. Vibe of everyone that worked there was angry and aggravated. Multiple people scowled at me walking through the dining room from the kitchen. One worker threw open the kitchen door obviously pissed about something. Everyone in the restaurant was waiting forever for their food and other tables would have one entree come out while the other person at the table waited another 15 minutes for their food. Food was nothing special. My wife liked her Mother Earth bowl which is why I'm giving two stars. My chicken sandwich was something out of a frozen box. Hush puppies and onion rings were standard. We only had water to drink. All of this cost us $54.20 total. Anymore this feels like a standard experience in an American restaurant unless you do someplace high end. Ok food, terrible value, terrible service, and junk fees. Like they're doing you a favor just being there. All of this for a restaurant that, as the walls show, is trying to convince you to become vegan. This won't do it guys. Do better if you really care about bringing people to your cause.
