I am disappointed to have to write this review. But not as disappointed as I was by my last experience. Snooze has always been a place where I could consistently expect great food and service. But my most recent visit was a complete let down. We were seated on the patio early afternoon.The service was terrible. Our server was not attentive. We had to flag her down to request items. And even then, she would be excruciatingly slow to bring what was requested. At one point, we sent eggs back to be cooked more. We finished our meals without the eggs or requested condiments being delivered to the table. I wish I could say it was a one off experience. But we could hear other patrons at nearby tables complaining as well. Even though our server never returned with the eggs, she didn't offer to take anything off the bill. We were so ready to leave that we paid the bill quickly and left. Unfortunately, it was my companion's first time there. The poor experience has tarnished the image of what was once my favorite breakfast spot. read more

I went to the Snooze location in Plaza Midwood on Central Avenue, and overall I had a really good experience. Parking wasn't great. The lot itself is pretty small and shared with a few other restaurants, but it wasn't impossible. I ended up finding street parking without too much trouble. I've been to Snooze several times before, mostly back when I lived in Houston, so I already knew I liked the food. This time we went to the Central Avenue location here in Charlotte. I'm a huge fan of Juan's Breakfast Taco. I absolutely love it. Since I'm currently doing a fitness challenge and trying to cut back on carbs, I asked if they could make it as a bowl instead of using tortillas. They were totally accommodating. The bowl still had hash browns at the bottom. I didn't eat all of them, but it was still delicious that way. I'll definitely be posting a picture because it was that good. My friend ordered the Harvest Omelette and customized it with egg whites instead of whole eggs. It was loaded with veggies and looked really good as well. Service was great. We were seated right away, and our waitress was super friendly and had the cutest sweater on. Another thing I really like about Snooze is that you can join the waitlist online if there's a wait, so you don't have to stand around the restaurant. That's always a plus. Overall, I really enjoyed my breakfast and will definitely be going back. Snooze continues to be a solid brunch spot for me. read more

We really enjoyed our experience at this new location. It is near other things in plaza that are easily walkable. We started off with a cranberry mimosa and a specialty bloody Mary that had gin in it. We shared the pancake flight that was delicious. My favorite one was the one with the cinnamon butter on it. We also got the French toast that was super good. For my main entrée, I got the protein omelette with ham, bacon and sausage. I have had much better omelettes I feel it was just a little bit unseasoned. The service was wonderful. Parking is a little tight and you may have to park in the lot across the street because it's shared with multiple businesses. The food was very good, especially the pancakes. What a cute little cafe! It's in a strip mall that decently easy to find parking in even on the weekends. The hostess seated us quickly even though it was super busy since it was a party of two. She was super gracious about squeezing the two of us into a table! The food is typical diner food. While it's not the best diner food I've ever had, it certainly is good! Stopped in for brunch on a Monday. There was about a 10 minute wait because it is high school graduation season and the restaurant was pretty packed in the plaza mid wood area. The hostess let us know. They were a little short staffed so they didn't have the preferred outdoor seating area available, which is understandable. Our waitress was very attentive, and checked on us frequently. We did not at all have the experience like they were understaffed. They have a new happy hour menu, with various 5$ mimosas!! The food was delicious as always and came out pretty quick. Walking in the restaurant has a nice dinner feel with booths and tables as well as a bar to sit at. We were greeted by the hostess who was very friendly and accommodating. The Waitress was quick knowledgeable and very helpful. The entire staff was very attentive to food allergies and sensitivities. They knew exactly how the menu items were made and with what ingredients. Ordered the new Spicy Bloody Mary which was delicious. Im not a fan of bloody Mary's and this was worth it. This place is a lot of fun. From the moment you walk into the 50's futuristic diner feeling joint you are welcomed by a friendly and very helpful staff. The food is delicious and beautiful (just check out those pics!). I had the corned beef hash which is like a macro version of what I would get while I was in the military. This is not SoS! Big chunks of corned beef with side of jalapenos and scrambled eggs. AND tortillas! I would not have thought of this. Maybe toast? But it works sooo well! SERVICE IS LACKING, BUT AMAZING FOOD! I love Snooze, and when I'm in a town that has one it is my breakfast of choice. This visit was different due to the weird service we got. Our waiter didn't introduce himself, he just walked up and asked "What are we drinking?" The tables next to us with a different server got waters and napkins and utensils upon being greeted, but we didn't. We got our coffees but had no spoon to mix sugar, and no napkin to wipe up a drip on the table. When ordering food, I asked if they had rye bread and he responded "No dude" and then there was a pause... first of all don't call me dude, and second of all why don't you tell me what bread you do have then??? After the pause I said "ok then what about sourdough." Thankfully they had that. Food arrived and we still had no utensils, and when they came no extra napkins were given so we had to ask for that too. My table felt like he wasn't being rude on purpose but it was still off-putting, especially seeing the tables next to us get the usual caliber of service. Please make sure all servers are trained on the simple things like greetings, bringing waters and utensils right away, etc. Besides that, food was delicious as always. My son's early flight out of Charlotte brought my mom and I to try Snooze on a very early weekday morning. They had just opened and we were spending the day in the area shopping and needed to kill a couple house until the shops opened. We sat down and Jade, our awesome server greeted us. We let her know we might be parked here for a while and she was so sweet about it and didn't mind at all! She gave us our menus and left us to browse the choices at our leisure. After a while, she came back and being that this was our first time here I had to inquire about a few items I was debating between. Jade helped me choose, and I ended up with the pancake flight. Such an awesome recommendation! I was able to get a mix of pancakes and one French toast with that. I also added the house made chicken sausage patty. My mom chose the Montecristo with a side of fresh fruit. I added one of their fresh made juices. I chose the supergreen's juice. It hit the spot! I love going to a city I'm unfamiliar with and finding the best restaurants on Yelp. I would've never found this place without it. The decor is cute - like a modern take on a classic diner. They sell merch and have a bar up front. It looked bright and clean inside. Seating is comfortable and conducive for larger groups and conversation. Everyone in our party ordered coffee. I ordered a mimosa. It's was good. Great value at $5. But the food! Mannnn me and my friend each ordered a different Benny and split them. Both were so good!! So much flavor. If I was to choose the favorite of the two, I would have to say go with the habanero pork belly but the Bella Bella was still delicious. THEY FINALLY DO ONLINE WEEKEND RESERVATIONS. I swear, I booked with in 5 minutes of their Instagram posting. In the past, this has always deterred me from consistently coming back. Coffee is always good and hot. If you order a latte, you get a beautiful latte art heart. And service is typically always attentive, I was in and out with my friend in 45 minutes! I tend to gravitate towards their seasonal menu. This time I got their Crispy Garlic Miso Rice Avocado bowl. And it was so good! I think the next time I'll ask for no hot sauce drizzle. My daughter and I stopped in before hitting the road back home. Love the retro modern theme and bright colors. Really nice vibes here. I'm trying to eat healthier and she loves pancakes yet we both found something we love here. Everything was delicious. I had what I dubbed a breakfast salad (keto bowl) and one pancake and she had a stack of the strawberry cakes with the sweet cream. Pancakes are huge we actually took leftover pancakes to go! Which is usually a no in terms of reheating but they were too good to waste. Service was great my daughter has a nut allergy and our waiter actually asked when we requested no crumble on her pancakes. He said "are you allergic?
