We enjoyed a birthday celebration here. It started off great with martinis and a great vibe with a view of the city. As time went on our service kind of fell off, the waitress just seemed new so orders came out at random. The sliders were super yummy and tacos were a hit. At the end of the night we spoke w the manager just to ensure he knew of the service and ended up giving us out food for free which was very kind. I would go back for another experience there!

I popped in for a bite Sunday morning. Aura offers great views of the city, top service and delicious food. This is attached to a hotel so you will find a pool immediately behind the bar that is separated by a low fence (it offers the pool guests a tiny semblance of privacy.) I enjoyed a read while I killed some time and was comfortable beneath the fans at the bar in the heat. There are several cushion sections available for reservations. (I made a reservation but opted for a bar seat once I saw how quiet it was upon my arrival.) 10/10 recommend.

I was here for a Birthday party. It took a long time to find a server to take my drink order. My drink was quite sweet. It contained mezcal but the smokiness was overpowered by this sweetness.

Came here with a friend Labor Day weekend. They were extremely busy but kind when we asked to love our original seats to something more low key in the outer skirts. The server was supper kind and helped us with drink and food recommendations. We ended up getting the sliders which were a perfect pick me up but not too mug since it was early afternoon and we wanted to maintain room for dinner. Nice city views. It was loud due to the people but it was still a nice time.

I can't only grade the drinks because we didn't order and food. This place is such a lovely establishment, perfect to relax and chill in any sunny weather. Just no rain. However THE DRINKS. PERFECT O M G!!!! The DRINKS, whatever you go for, even the non alcoholic drinks are delicious. Will return in the summer or spring actually.. go on a nice 70 outside or even night OMG. It's inside the JW MARRIOTT, we got lost trying to find the entrance however once we did.. it's a beautiful place.

I'm giving this 3 stars because the staff wasn't very attentive + the menu was eh! The menu is small and most of the dishes don't sound very appetizing for a rooftop. I totally understand it's a smaller bar with a small pool but I think the best thing about this place is the views of the city!

I wanted to love Aura as the views and vibes are giving everything I wanted and more. Love the weather/winter-proof dome to enjoy Aura out of the elements. The pool area is posh and the service from staff was great. The cocktails did not disappoint. The food, however, was lackluster. The poblano queso was good, but was served warm and got cold and thickened almost instantaneously. The bao buns were quite tough and stale, but the pork belly fillings were delicious. Silver lining-- I didn't need the carbs anyhow. I'd love to return in warmer temps + enjoy the great outdoors, and the full glory of Aura Rooftop.

Aura is located inside the Marriott Hotel. I made reservations online because it usually gets packed. Order the sliders and tuna tacos 10/10 . The views were great, the ambiance is chill. Music played in the background whilst I enjoyed my moscato and bites. Service was great, the waitress was very attentive and friendly.

We were looking to get drinks & Came across this place looked nice so we decided to check it out. We came up , walked around took in the nice views, nice little area pool, some seating & bar to just chill & enjoy some drinks. We tried the following cocktails Pink Fairy & electress , both good drinks, nice taste. We also tried, Glow through the night & sage of Aquarius , good drinks as well, All with a decent amount of alcohol. Seating area was covered w heat lamps set up, nice cozy area good music playing. Bartender was nice & attentive, good cocktails, price wise a bit on the high side but doable, we enjoyed our time & drinks.

Beautiful rooftop! The music was perfect for the setting, and there was a steady flow of people for the Saturday night we were there, we didn't stay too long so can't speak to how crowded it got later but it was a great pregame spot. My friend got the more popular drink (Pink Fairy) and I got the Opposites Attract. The servers were attentive and quick, and the drinks were delicious!

    The Queen's Negroni

Located atop the JW Marriott in Uptown. The cocktails, like the "Pink Fairy in the Garden" and "The Queens Negroni" were deliciously refreshing. The brisket sliders were perfectly cooked, with tender, juicy brisket paired with B&B pickles and sweet onions that add a delightful crunch and sweetness. The combination of flavors and textures made each bite incredibly satisfying. Wish there were more brisket to balance out the bread. The White Chocolate Mousse and the Dark Chocolate Passionfruit Bar desserts were delightful, providing a creamy and rich The staff and service were wonderful. The rooftop's ambiance, with its chic, botanical decor and stunning city views, along with exceptional service, made it a must-visit spot in Charlotte.

We stopped here for a drink as we were walking around uptown. This rooftop pool/restaurant/bar is located in the JW Marriott. You do not need to be staying at the hotel to go to the bar/restaurant. The rooftop takes reservations but we didn't make one. We were able to be seated right away. Our server was great and the atmosphere was lovely. I would definitely stop here again!

Beautiful location. Great service at the bar. Drinks were good. Amazing views. I will be back.

This place blue my mind…read more I was visiting my best friend while in town for a conference on amusement ride standards. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar. They now serve food, hotdogs... which do NOT match the vibe at all, so that was interesting that their only food (other than the free popcorn) is not hot dogs..

There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.
