The Conspiracy is a great cocktail lounge and bar! I found this spot on a random Thursday night and the bar was hosting trivia. The staff was helpful and fun, making great drinks.

My best friend was in town for the weekend and we wanted to switch things up and try something different so I took him to this speakeasy inspired spot that I haven't been to yet and after walking in I was thoroughly surprised how dope this place was. We just missed the band but the vibe was freaking awesome! We didn't get the chance to order any food but the drinks was were delicious and the service was attentive to our needs. This is a GREAT spot for a date night, I think I might take my wife here for a time.

Such a cozy spot with amazing food! The turkey meatballs were a standout- perfectly glazed, generously portioned, and made with turkey for a healthier twist, which we really appreciated. We also tried the trio plate featuring a crab cake, short rib, and shrimp scampi. The crab cake was flavorful, though not made with lump crab. The short rib was tender and came with two nicely sized pieces. The cauliflower lettuce wraps were a fun, hands-on option with bold, delicious seasoning, definitely a hit at our table. To top it all off, we shared the dessert trio, and everything was delicious. Surprisingly, the apple turnovers ended up being my favorite! We love this place and think it offers great value. Most dishes are around $15, with the exception of the trio plates, which include more food so are priced a bit higher. Two plates per person is a good sweet spot, making it a reasonably priced option considering the upscale atmosphere and quality of the food. With the Trio as one of the plates, we only needed three for two people. Of course, adding drinks or dessert (which we recommend!), will bring the total up a bit, but def worth it.

We've been wanting to try The Conspiracy since they opened, and we were not disappointed! The inside is huge compared to many of the pictures online, with a very cool lounge/speakeasy feel. Both spacious and intimate at the same time. We came very early in the night for drinks before a separate dinner reservation, and were met with fun and highly attentive staff. They had the best drink and food recommendations, even with some suggestions for tweaks. Also very supportive of an allergy request, which was very appreciated. I cannot wait to return again with friends for a longer engagement!

I love it here. It's Uptown's newest place to be. All of the food I've tried is really good and filling. I recently tried the NY cheesecake and the serving size was more than enough. They have the best pumpkin martini I've had in Charlotte so far. Katie of course makes it the best, let her make it. Mark is great as well, true professional at his craft. Austin is so sweet, great service. I wouldn't call this place a speakeasy, because it's not a real speakeasy is. It does give off a true intimate bar/lounge setup for an older crowd. They also have live music here. No complaints, I'll keep returning back.

This new hot spot in Uptown Charlotte is the latest secret hideout place to be. From the cool entrance, and the bump-in-Groovy-Jazzy vibes of the music, in the warm ambience in the comfortable sophisticated mid-century modern seating, is strategically placed to make you feel cozy and cool. So I decided to take a seat at the bar. This is a easy night and I didn't want to cook dinner. I needed something quick and satisfying. So Mark, my bar specialist, put together a nice combination of braised short ribs, and goat cheese pesto and Basil Hayden, just for me. Not only was the food perfectly tempered, it was delectably seasoned, moist and earthy. I first tried my Goat cheese and immediately felt at home and comfortable as if I was wrapped up in a warm weighted blanket. This is a place that you go to relax, before our after an event, getting a massage, topping off your evening. It's a place to get a small bite to eat on a small plate, but only to make you feel real big because of the service and the warmth of the environment. I will be back. This is a place to brag about. We visited The Conspiracy a few weeks ago, early one Saturday evening. It was fairly empty when we arrived. All of the best seating was available so we opted for the comfy couch against the brick wall. It's a cozy, quaint spot with a super chill vibe. I ordered the cocktail recommended by the waiter. It was decent. It was a nice balance between enjoyable and fair...not bad at all, but I wouldn't order it again. The cheese and charcuterie board was great because we were able to choose the type of cheese and meats we wanted. The presentation and quality were what we hoped for. The hummus dish was my favorite. I typically don't eat hummus, but I'm glad we ordered it. It was the most simplistic, tasty, and velvety hummus dish. The only opportunity for improvement was the serving of bread that accompanied it. The hummus dish was quite large, so we ordered another side of toasted baguettes. Overall, the service was great and the experience warrants another visit in the future.

Ambience is excellent, they have lots of space and different options for seating. The drinks were excellent. We did not have food here, but the drinks were well-made. The service was also excellent as the waiter gave us recommendations based on what we normally like to drink. I would definitely come back here again for cocktails or a quick bite.

This hidden gem in uptown is so fun and full of life. It gives speakeasy vibes but the lights aren't too dim to where you can't see what you're eating. There's plenty of seating and there's no need to make a reservation in advance. They have events and live music that they display on their instagram so keep a lookout on there. The prices are sort of high so just be aware that if you're looking to eat a meal, I'd do so before coming here. We got a 4 item charcuterie board for $35 and this is all they gave us. The drinks and food were very delicious though! There's no parking here so you'll have to park on the street or find a lot to park in.

Saw this place on a Instagram post and decided to find it. Pretty big for a bar and two nice sections, bars on both sides. Couches, booths, and nice open space. It was nice to be somewhere uptown where it wasn't noisy and loud and can't hear the people your with. Nice decor but still can be casual. They have a nice cocktail list as well as wine and beer. Also a small plates menu, with a nice varied choice. The staff were very cool and answered my questions about drinks etc. Even made me a drink off menu, and was just engaging in a nice way. We had the lunar leap, their take in the espresso martini, nice not too strong, with a interesting cream sphere, unfortunately it doesn't melt like I'd hope, to make the martini a little creamier. But I still enjoyed it. We tried the tuna crudo, with a nice Smokey flavor, jicama, radish, and apple kombucha. Great flavor. We also tried the bravas style potatoes. Delish, with a spicy marinara. Love the small plates with drinks! Then the bar tender made me a white Negroni, which I didn't see in many places, but love, it was a little different, more citrusy , but still good. I love she took the time and showed me all she was using in it. Nice sipping drink, don't drink this one too fast. Really enjoyed this place. It's not crazy busy, but a nice stream of people in and out, but it one of those uptown places that is just packed and you don't enjoy. Totally would come back here. Loved the ease of the place.

Popped into Charlotte's newest speakeasy to nosh on a few shared plates and craft cocktails. First let me say, the atmosphere is enchanting and the vibe is sexy, The Conspiracy is "hidden" in the heart of Uptown and certainly lives up to its self-proclaimed title of "Uptown Charlotte's best kept secret". The menu is tasty and eclectic--not overly seasoned so you can really taste the ingredients. The drinks are imaginative and will sneak up on you. If you're in Uptown, check it out.

This place is super cute inside, it's such a vibe. Location is so-so and surprisingly it wasn't crowded on a Friday night. Plenty of seating is available, both at the bar and at booths, tables and lounge chairs. The staff is super nice and attentive, we received food recommendations and felt right at home. Sadly the food wasn't impressive. Presentation was great, but flavor was lacking. My drink was also just so-so. I'm conflicted on if I'd return but I'm not opposed to giving it one more try. Parking is available in the Vue garage if you can find a visitor spot. Also they have live music most weekends. read more

Order the turkey pesto flatbread and a glass of Simi Chardonnay and your wildest dreams will come true! For real though, fun place. Mark will make you the drink you didn't even know you needed. Just ask and you shall receive. Comfortable seating at the bar or tables. Nice speakeasy vibe. They have live music as well on the weekends. You will probably meet your best friends here. Parking can be a challenge, there is street parking but I think there are a few spots in the garage as well. It's an easy walk from anywhere in uptown really. Just go! read more

Located on the ground floor of the iconic Vue Apartment Building, The Conspiracy is a sophisticated yet laid back cocktail lounge and bar. The decor is elegant but it does not feel stuffy. It makes for a great night cap or date night spot and even includes some live music. If you're looking for a fun but more laid back night and you feel you are a little too old (or too tired) for the club environment, this makes for a great alternative. You can have great cocktails in a warm and cozy environment whether it be with friends, your special someone, or even if you want to treat yourself to a nice night out. The servers and bartenders are friendly, and there are plenty of seats at the bar if you'd like to belly up. I'm definitely glad to know this spot exists and if I find myself Uptown in the future I'm sure I'll be stopping in again. read more

This bar is such a great vibe. It's low lit and is great for a date night. I have tried a few things on the menu and you really can't go wrong, the food is all great! The prices aren't too high either. There's not a ton of parking, you need to find a street spot or park in a nearby garage. The bartenders and servers are always great and I will continue coming back! read more

Incredible place for a date night . The service was pretty slow and the wait time too . The Menu didn't had so many items that we could order , but the food items that we ordered was tasty . The food was excellent, prepared perfectly, and served very aesthetically. The cocktails were finally crafted and came out very ululate. The whole ambience of the restaurant made you feel if you were in a speakeasy from long ago I would highly recommend anyone who is in Charlotte go to the conspiracy read more

It started off awkward from the moment I walked in the door and went steadily downhill from there. There is no hostess and no one at the bar acknowledged me, so I went up and they told me it was open seating. Cool. We had several servers throughout the night and each of them kept messing up our orders. No one ever asked if we wanted our waters refilled or to order another drink. Plus, from what we could tell there was only one bathroom for both sexes, which was not the cleanest. With all of the options in Charlotte, I wouldn't go back. read more

Friendly staff. We were greeted as soon as we walked in & was attended to throughout the night. I parked about two blocks away and walked (I was unsure where to park nearby for free). Staff was really nice, drinks were amazing. Vibes and ambiance were both really nice. Goat cheese dip was really good. I wish it came with more bread pieces though. This place is so cozy intimate and great vibes all around. There was a live performer named Emmanuel he was outstanding defiantly coming back when he's on stage. The service was best I've had in charlotte Austin was the server highly reccomend visiting him all his recommendations were spot on. Must have menu item is the short braised ribs! We stopped by on a Friday night after a movie for cocktails. The rum drink w/guava (Lost in Triangulation) was good but their house old fashioned (The Nevermore) was OUTSTANDING!! So was the service we received from Bethany and Mark (AC too)!! Did I mention the crafted cocktail prices were very reasonable? HELL YEAH! The fried chicken and waffles were perfectly seasoned, and the waffle had a unique texture and flavor that reminded me of a combination of a traditional waffle and a soft pretzel. The cheesy potato cake was absolutely delicious. The fruit bowl was also good, but I wish they had been a little more generous with the blueberry pudding. The shrimp and grits came with large tomatoes, which may not be for everyone, and my friend felt the dish was lacking grits overall. She didn't feel like she got her money's worth. Would I go back? Absolutely. My meal was delicious, and I can't wait to return and try more of their homemade, fresh dishes. I also think it's great that they partner with local farmers to help curate their menu.

We started with a few drinks and the dip trio (love the plantain chips!) But what set us off right was the mojito! Asia, our bartender, made an outstanding drink. As former bartenders we can be a bit critical and rarely have a mojito we really like. We got a second one just to see if it was a fluke lol, but she delivered again. Consistency is important. The excellent service continued with our server Tony. He made great suggestions and helped us make sure to guide us through the menu as we aren't familiar with Peruvian cuisine. I had the Plancha Chicken and it was fantastic. My bf had lettuce wraps and the tuna ceviche which he devoured. Great food, excellent service, and kudos to the manager Darnell who checked in with us. We ordered a couple of items, including mocktails, and while the food and drinks were just OK and didn't quite stand out compared to other spots, the service more than made up for it--the staff was friendly, attentive, and made the experience enjoyable. Overall, it's a great place to hang out if you're looking for a lively vibe and excellent service, even if the menu isn't the main highlight.

We started with the prosciutto carpaccio, paper thin prosciutto with olive oil, and fresh Parmesan and fresh greens, white balsamic and hazelnut. This was amazing, just yummy. The roasted mushrooms, come on a sliced yogurt, with verde hummus, and sumac onions. Again so flavorful and so many different things going on in this dish. Highly recommend this. The short rib bolognese. A fabulous small plate, but plenty for two . This sauce was so good with the fresh grilled bread they serve. The pasta was perfectly cooked, spinach flavored. Truffle ricotta, and crispy prosciutto on top, nice pieces of short rib too. This was an excellent dish. We were truly full so had to pass on dessert but we did get a after dinner espresso martini, called the Salud! A Spanish table toast, peppermint infused tequila, espresso, licor 43, coffee liquor and creme de cacao. Served frozen, this tasted like an Andes mint. Perfect after dinner drink. But it is rather spacious inside with lovely minimalistic and neutral vibes. The service was pretty great as we were given recommendations and our water was continuously refilled. My friends and I got the Crab Brik, Wagyu Burger, Shakshuka, and Avocado Toast. The Crab Brik came in little triangular wontons that were fried to perfection. I think real crab meat was used which is always nice. There was some aioli on the plate, but certainly not enough to dip with meal in. The Avocado Toast was recommended by our server and it was a top tier choice! It had chili dukka on it so everything from the eggs, sourdough bread, and avocados tasted very seasoned, despite the dish sounding a bit plain. They do not skimp out on the avocado here. My friend said the Wagyu Burger tasted good and I tried the Shakshuka (for the first time in my life) which tasted very tomato-y but still yummy with the bread! I think this is a cute place, especially for brunch. I would rate this place 4.5/5 stars if I could. I want to come back and try their dinner menu which has more food options.
