    Brunch drink only

Vinyl has a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere--it's got a beat you can feel the moment you walk in! I arrived famished (as in, I hadn't seen a break all day), and I had my heart set on some fried fish. Sadly, the fish wasn't quite cooked to our liking, so it didn't give me that "first-time wow" I was hoping for. It was a slight skip on the record, but not a broken track! My server, Angie, was absolutely amazing! I still kick myself for not recalling the name of the cocktail, but it was OUTSTANDING! Angie was thoughtful enough to make a special exception to get it for me when another lady was enjoying it. That kind of service is what truly makes a restaurant shine. Thank you, Pro-Tip: I hear they have lines around the corner in the evenings on the weekends. For weekday lunch you'll be able to park directly on the street without a wait.

Went in for brunch, service was phenomenal, food and drinks were great. Overall a great place!

This place is always a vibe. Whether brunch on the weekends, or music in the evenings - everything always feels curated, cozy, and cool.

Loved it here. Such a cute vibe! Loved the whole music decor was amazing. Did not eat here, came in just for drinks. Drinks were amazing. I actually had a drink had balsamic in it! Yea, it was good. So creative. We sat at the bar, the bar tender was attentive and super nice. Definitely will try out some food next visit.

Vinyl is cool, but going again for the 1st time in almost 3 years reminded me why I don't go lol. It's not the place it's the people there. I know South End is lively, I get it. But whew, we went on a Satur-DAY, day time lol. It was pretty packed, we lucked up with a table outside. There was a super drunk lady yelling and arguing with another gentleman who was also drunk. They exchanged words and middle fingers. The girl even started to argue with the security guy. Just sad. Once she left it got better. I only had a drink called a hot and dirty martini. It was cute, strong and spicy. Our server was great! He checked on us a bunch, turned off a heater when we asked and also kicked out an obnoxious guy who was constantly blowing a whistle inside. Yea, good ole South End.... My only other issue is how loud it gets there. We eventually had to just leave, it was painfully loud and rowdy. We were screaming at each other and still saying "huh". Cool spot if you're into that kinda vibe. I shall keep my old lady vibes away in the future lol.

We came during brunch on a sunday. The decor was super cute, i love the art work displayed and they have it decorated for the holidays. I ordered the biscuit and gravy. It's a biscuit cut in half with gravy and served with an egg that you can have prepared how you like. It was super tasty! We also tried the Wings, 8/10 to me. The ranch was really good! We sat at the bar and bartender was friendly and attentive. I tried the Bidi bidi drink and it was really good. I'd try them out again.

Customer service was outstanding. John knew about the drinks and the food. We were a party mixed with vegetarians and he offered great recommendations. Expresso martini gave me lifeeee. Mojitos done right. French dip tacos was everythingggg. Grilled cheese was smacking. Queso fries. Yes. Just yes. I would try this spot out again.

Got there early on a Friday night (8:45) as suggested. Although we waited for a seat (no one was at the hostess station) a member of the security team got us seated. The music wasn't extremely loud so we were able to have conversation without yelling. The place is very nicely decorated which makes for amazing photo ops. We ordered Brussel sprouts, chicken sliders and steak frites. All of it was amazing! We left talking about how good the food was and how'd we'd come back for sure. I had the I Want a New Drug cocktail and everyone else had the Sex, Drugs and Taylor Swift. Everyone was pleased. Would recommend to anyone looking for a cute spot for amazing small plates and drinks.

Security was efficient and polite right from the start , which helped set a good tone. We stopped by for a cocktail and the place was packed, but thankfully snagged seats at the bar just in time . The vibe and atmosphere were really nice , energetic without feeling chaotic. A quick heads up for the ladies , there are only two stalls and the line gets beyond fierce fast , and we noticed a line for the men's room too. We used rideshare , so I can't speak to parking, but it made getting in and out easy. Drinks were enjoyable and the bar staff kept things moving despite the crowd . I'd love to revisit when it's a little less crowded to fully soak it all in .

A very nice after spot that brings elegance and souls together at a pace which allows true connects. Variety is the audience and the stretch of all souls coming together for the same goodness in the world is here. Sit and be served by vinyls that truly spin and I'll see you soon.

A cute southend neighborhood bar. We went early in the day so it wasn't crowded and there was a DJ. The bartender was very friendly and knowledgeable. We ordered wings and fries. Both were pretty good. The drinks presentation deserve a spotlight..

I LOVED this spot! We stopped in on Saturday afternoon and were excited to check out the Halloween Pop-Up. It did not disappoint! The decor was super cool in general and the spooky elements were icing on the cake. We parked at a lot about a block up by the Backyard and walked down. Our bartenders were great! Very nice and efficient. There was a DJ and the music was hoppin! We didn't have food this trip but we did each have a brunchy drink and WOW! My friend had the Back to Black which may have taken the top spot in her list of favorite drinks. Espresso Martini who!? I could definitely replace my morning coffee with the B2B My Bloody Mary was also delicious and very well made. I loved the large bacon slices on top. It was spicy (per my request) but not TOO spicy. Delicious! We were only in town for 24 hours and strongly considered coming back here for a second drink, but we ran out of time. I will definitely add VINYL to my list for every CLT trip from now on!

Wow what an experience! I'm in Charlotte for the weekend, and my good friend's colleague…read morerecommended we come here after dinner for drinks. There's outdoor seating, and initially we wanted to sit outside but we didn't have reservations. Luckily, they seated us at a small corner section near the back of the bar. It's very cozy and intimate inside. Just my type of vibe. The service was top tier. They were unable to validate our parking because of some sort of discrepancy with the signage outside and lack of having the proper equipment for validation. To make up for it, they offered us complimentary champagne to start. We were not expecting that, and pleasantly surprised! Their menu has an eclectic selection of cocktails, both full and mini. We opted to order from the mini cocktail menu, and we each ordered two drinks. I had the Creepy cucumber cocktail and it was refreshingly sweet and probably my favorite drink of the night. I also ordered the Don't Shy Away which was a sour and spicy rum concoction with carrot in it. It was definitely spicy and had a puréed texture. I really enjoyed it. And, then don't get me started on the music!!! The dj was masterful. He played all the types of music I love and he mixed them in such a refreshing way. I ended up asking him for his contact information before leaving, and whether he does weddings because my fiancé and I are currently looking for a DJ. He was just that good. This would definitely be my spot if I lived here in Charlotte. It was the perfect way for us to end the night.

It's a small intimate setting and I do love the dark aesthetic they did. Gives it a swanky vibe and makes a great date spot. But they were burning incense in the tiny space and it was overwhelming. The other bar guests sitting next to us agreed. *They did finally pick up on it and the staff moved it toward the kitchen door* Staff was friendly as well, though, it was busy and looked as if they had a trainee in tow, so attention was lacking just a bit. So why we came: The drinks were average to me. One was weird (Pineapple Fried Rice) and I just couldn't get it sit well on my palate - and I tried - sip after sip. But the mixologist saw my struggle and swapped it out for a different one. I did like the Don't Shy Away - it was an interesting take on a margarita with a strong carrot base. The Whispering Dove was a take on a Paloma and I couldn't find the lemongrass infusion on my palate. So I found it pretty basic, but pricey. So overall, decent. And I might stop buy if I was stuck in the area again.

This place blue my mind…read more I was visiting my best friend while in town for a conference on amusement ride standards. We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW

The menu this time is theme park theme... again, a fun concept but not well executed. Pretty overwhelming, especially with the bartenders explaining the menu to us twice with the same spiel there is too much to look at it makes it difficult to pay attention to the drinks. I really did not love my drink (starbreaker?) you could only taste the lychee The bartenders not a vibe, it was not that comfortable to sit at the bar.
