Vida Verdita
Kristina B.

We sat at the bar on Monday night. The ambiance is very chill and relaxing and the restaurant was not busy at the bar or dining rooms. One side of the bar seemed to have better service than the other. We were on the other. Our server was responsive, but only if we got his attention. Vida Verdita mocktail was amazing. It was sweet and spicy and refreshing; so herbaceous. Spicy vegan curry was full of broccolini, mushrooms, eggplant, and sweet potato. Honestly, the sweet potato didn't add much, but felt just like mush. The curry was creamy and flavorful and the black rice gave it a nice bite. Overall, great meal, but our server was not cool or great.

What can I say. Everything made scratch from farm to table. Yummmy. We got seated quickly. Our server was training another server but they took care of us well. Very classy looking place with a full bar. Spicy shrimp crispy rice: 5 stars for flavor, texture and everything else. Really enjoyed biting into the crispy rice part. Remind me of a similar dish from a Japanese restaurant in the Keys. Delish. Butternut squash and kale salad: 5 stars. Don't know all the things they put in it but I could not stop eating it and pretty soon the whole bowl was gone. Mushroom pizza:4 stars. Cheesy enough and I flavorful. I liked the veggies on top. I guess I missed the tomato sauce. Wished I had more time in Charlotte to return for another meal.

I had been wanting to eat here for quite some time. Sadly, I didn't feel it lived up to the hype. We were a party of 12 and were seated very quickly. The service was fantastic! Our waitress was very attentive and there was never an empty glass. The food, though, just wasn't it. Appetizers: The cheese on the nachos was very bland. The charcuterie boards we're also just very very basic. The pretzel bites and cheese were good, but not great. I had the 36 hour pork ribs and the first few bites were pretty good, but it was just a very boring dish after that. They were cooked very well, but the sauce just didn't hold up. I'd say the coleslaw that was served with it was the highlight of the meal for me. Excellent! We chose not to get dessert after the meal as the choices were pretty limited and not that great in my opinion. I don't know why more places don't have cheesecake or just a scoop of ice cream with a cookie as a staple. I don't think I'll be back unless a friend is determined to go.

I'm a sucker for any place that says their menu is made from scratch. This was our first dinner experience for the weekend and it did not disappoint. The location is in a great spot downtown with a nearby parking garage (a block up). Inside is dimly lit with welcoming vibes. We arrived closer to 7 and they had live music in a Friday night that was.... Ok at best. For the type of spot it was I certainly wasn't expecting live music but would think they might have had someone more polished. Our cocktails were well done and refreshing. We started with the crispy Brussels sprouts (extra crispy please) that came out... not crispy. There was some charring in the top but otherwise they were very chewy and had a texture you'd expect if steamed. The flavors were great though. Our main dishes were perfect! Prices were reasonable for the area you were in but expect to pay a little more. My rating is 4 stars instead of five due to the Brussels sprouts not being extra crispy as we had requested and they forgot our dessert. We waited a long while for it before the sever brought us our check. I asked if they were still bringing it out and she darted off to get it. I appreciated that she did not include it with the bill. I don't know if I would go back but it's worth trying at least once if you're in the city.

The food was great & the atmosphere was great as well. I went with a friend of mine. I got the Mongolian short rib plate & they got the steak frites. Presentation was a beauty & it tasted even better. The service was great too. We sat at the bar first and then moved to a table after waiting on the list. Both spots, we had great servers that were very attentive. I will be back!

Paloma Spritz

Enjoyed dinner before a concert at BOA stadium, and glad we had a reservation. We started off with cocktails - Paloma Spritz and Tijuana Spa Water. Both were really good. My husband and daughter shared a cheese pizza, and they enjoyed it. I had the Chopped Chicken Salad and enjoyed it, but wished the chicken was warm (not cold). I would also recommend dressing on the side, if you don't like heavy dressing.

Roasted Salmon*

This establishment is fun and delicious. The server was friendly, outside seating is great, and the food was delicious. The cocktail menu was inventive. This is one of the go to places when coming to Charlotte. Parking is at a premium coming here unless you can walk. Till next time ...

The food, the service, the ambience, the entire experience was exceptional. The food was absolutely delicious -- the eggs were perfectly soft and fluffy, the bacon was cooked just right with the perfect crisp, and the breakfast potatoes were seasoned to perfection. every bite tasted fresh and thoughtfully prepared. The salmon dish was equally impressive, packed with rich flavor and beautifully presented. The service was warm and welcoming. The ambience truly tied it all together -- classy, cozy, and upscale with a beautiful modern dining atmosphere that made brunch feel like a special occasion.

Pulled this hair out of my mouth after a bite of the salad.

I ordered takeout and while eating pulled 2 pieces of hair from my mouth after taking a bite of the salad. The salmon was also overcooked. Very disappointed and slightly discussed.

Came in on a Friday night where I was pleasantly surprised to find that they had (GOOD!) live music playing with strong drinks and tasty nachos waiting for me Not sure why these culinary geniuses chose to drop out when my entire experience was giving A+ energy.

Black Truffle Mushroom Pizza

I Came here for dinner on a Saturday evening. I had been to one in phoenix previously. I was impressed with the menu selection, and the fact that they have a "from scratch kitchen." Everyone in our party loved their dishes. I ordered the mushroom pizza, and a friend of mine ordered the short ribs. Both were fantastic. That night they played live music and it was a great band. I will be back next time I am in Charlotte.

Had this place on our radar for our trip to Charlotte so made sure to stop in for dinner. The place had a great vibe to it all around. We grabbed a seat at the bar and the team there took good care of us. The Manager chatted for a bit as well during his rounds. Our food was great and the Martini was excellent as well.

She was extremely sweet, attentive, and super knowledgeable about the menu and gave us some really great recommendations. For drinks I ordered a NA rose. It had a bit of a dryer taste than I would have preferred as I'm more of a sweet drinker, but not bad. My friend ordered the Blackberry Sage and Soda and really enjoyed it. For an appetizer, we ordered the burrata. If you enjoy tomatoes, pesto, cheese, and bread, just get it, you won't regret it! It was very flavorful! We almost considered ordering a second helping! For the entree, I ordered the Atlantic Salmon with a side of broccolini. It was the best broccolini I think I've ever had! It was seasoned very well and had a smokey taste from the charring. My friend ordered the Creste Di Gato and really enjoyed it and the broccolini as well! For dessert, I ordered the sticky toffee cake and it was MAGNIFICENT! It was brought out warm and the flavor combinations were just so good! Right now, I'm planning to make room for it every time I come back and I most definitely will come back lol. 10/10 experience! Would recommend!

In between mall errands, grab a table or a barstool and dive into a Hot Chicken Sammy or Pepperoni Flatbread, paired with a flavorful Joyride IPA, Daydream Lager or another brew from their extensive selection. The menu also has shareable apps, salads and burgers, along with a wide variety of wines and cocktails. Service has been excellent on all our visits, and there's ample seating inside and out. The huge covered patio can get a little steamy in the summer, but is a joy in cooler weather. And the younger kids can burn off their energy on the adjacent playground while you and your spouse tip back a few drinks. Suffolk Punch is the best addition to SouthPark in years, and will give even the most reluctant shopper a new reason to hit the mall.

We ordered the Sol Sunrise and the Berry Delish - Both were not only good but strong as well. Our waitress was polite and offered some good recommendations on what to get. The waffle was fine - Didn't look or taste like a fresh waffle but again it was fine. Those potatoes??? 10/10 - I could've just gotten those and would've been content since I'm an avid potato lover! The restaurant was busy but not overly so. They were able to seat us right away. There were lots of delicious items on the menu. My friends all got the salmon (two grilled and one fried). I got the crabcake because I just have to be different, I guess. They brought out cornbread muffins with honey butter that were delicious. They were really soft and cake-like and the honey butter topping was awesome. Two of us got side salads for our side and they came out with the meal, which isn't my preference but the food came out quickly any way so it was fine. The side salads were MASSIVE. Lettuce, cheese, tomatoes and onions (removed from mine) in a huge bowl. Probably could have been a meal to itself. The food came out and there was some confusion on sides that were mismatched and all of the salmons were grilled (instead of the one fried). Everyone really enjoyed their meal. I kinda wish I had gotten the salmon because it looked amazing and really well seasoned. The crab cake I had was good too. I think it had their Garlic Parmesan Cream sauce on top. The crab cake was big and had plenty of crab. I think I would have preferred a traditional tartar sauce on the side. I got their mac and cheese for my other side. It was super creamy and cheesy. It was also topped with the garlic parmesan cream sauce. Very tasty. Service was good. Not ton of visits to the table but I don't think we ever wanted for anything. My total with tip was about $40 and I think it was worth it for all the food I got. Would be a fun place to return too! Good job, Sol'Delish!
