Talking about great value. This place has a great value for amount of food you get and the price. The food tasted great, I liked my country fried steak with gravy. The biscuits are flaky and airy. The ambiance is simple and clean. Our waiter Paul was great, he told us that he is only there for two weeks, he has services and knows what he was doing. I can't wait to come back to try different items on the menu.

The food here was flavorful and filling. The ingredients were also fresh on each dish. The burrito had a mound of juicy/tender steak pieces. It was delicious. I ended the meal with two street tacos which were Lengua and Pastor. Very tasty. The chips and salsas are great and spicy but a good kind of spicy. The service was excellent and attentive. I enjoyed how everyone was happy to work there and show hospitality. Definitely going back to try more of the menu items.

Atmosphere was awesome very welcoming casual perfect for a breakfast place. The eggs were scrambled and cooked deliciously the steak left something to be desired. It was good but I could taste the dirty grill.

First time trying for my birthday brunch and it was a great experience. Diego our server took excellent care of us and made sure are food order was exactly right. He even asked it was okay to sing the birthday song and I enjoyed it. For that Diego gets 5 starts while the food gets 3 stars (basic breakfast nothing fancy, I think they're transitioning from strictly Mexican to brunch style) to average out for 4 star review.

    Yummy jalapeño margarita!

I worked 8-5 was quite hungry to say the least . I ordered Carne Asada fries. They were four mins away. I decided to stay at and eat outside on the patio. The girls rls were quite pleasant. I let them know I had ordered already but I'd like to stay and have a margarita with salt and a jalapeño. It was huge! Yeah! The carne Asada could've had more steak but it was good just the same. I ate it too fast T take a photo. Lo siento mucho. The music was annoying because it was like music on speed or something! ‍ I suppose if I were with ten friends laughing loudly I wouldn't notice as much. Does that make me too American?

This has to be one of the most underrated restaurants in the Charlotte area. But because since it's only been open a couple of months, I'm sure it won't last long. First off, we had the best server in ALL of North Carolina lol. Felipe was AWESOME!! He said he usually works at the other location but if you're ever fortunate to have him, you're in for a treat! The customer service was unparalleled. Now, the food. It was great as well. I had the ACP Ultimate and subbed the broccoli & zucchini for bell peppers and Serrano peppers. Let me tell you, that thing was good! The drinks. Don't even get me started on the drinks. I'm not even a drinker and I can tell you that you will not find drink specials this food anywhere else. And it's good too? Yea, just stop reading and start driving. Thank me later!

I met up with some old co workers at Mezcali in Charlotte on Sunday night at around 8 PM. We all sat at the bar and chatted while reviewing the menu which is massive by the way! I finally decided on a chimichanga with extra queso and pico. One of my friends ordered a chicken ACP and the other ordered loaded nachos. The restaurant had margarita specials for $6.99 and the drink is huge. I was instantly impressed with the price and flavor of the drink. My meal and drink was less than $25! The food was simply delicious and the staff was fun and friendly. They didn't rush us out as closing time approached. We left right at ten o'clock on the dot. This is my first time visiting this restaurant and I'm surprised that I hadn't heard of it before I know that they have a Huntersville location that I may check out soon. I definitely will come back here.

the banana foster french toast was so yummy! definitely my favorite. the country fried steak wasn't bad either. the gravey could use a little more flavor. food was pretty good, but the music they were playing was not the vibe. the definitely could find a better play list then that.

    Chorizo mezacali burrito

Atmosphere is very welcoming & clean. Nicely decorated with traditional music playing in the background. Server was an absolute gem. Blackberry flavored margarita was a mix of sweet & tart. The red chicken & carnitas authentic tacos were seasoned to perfection. The chorizo burrito was perfectly sized with generous toppings. Overall, it was quite flavorful & filling. However, the only drawback was the color of the chorizo (was pinkish instead of brownish). In sum, Mezcali is definitely worth a repeat visit

Went early on a Saturday for lunch. Was greeted and seated immediately since it wasn't crowded. Waiter came over and was very friendly and bubbly. I ordered the birria tacos and they came out, fresh and hot. But for the price I felt they were pretty small and not filled with a lot of meat. They were tasty however, but for almost $15 I would have expected more, or at least a side of beans or something. Overall I'd still go back because flavor was great and service even better.

I know I made it look very pretty in my photos, but don't be fooled. Here is the complete review. We found the green tomatoes bland and appeared to have been frozen before being prepared. The "Gravy Train" with the mini biscuit was inedible. The gravy itself was OK. Nothing special, not one of the three were "great." But the mini biscuits were terrible, hard, dense chunks of dough. I ate one of them and discarded the rest. The "Chicken Ditch the Waffle" was equally terrible. Whatever they did to turn the biscuit into "fake" French toast is a 100% fail. They were as dense and unappealing as the mini biscuits. The chicken itself was fine. If I was only rating the chicken I'd probably give it a 3.5. The best dish was actually the "GOAT." It was served with a Standard biscuit which we thought was still too dense and dry. I recommend finding an independent restaurant that serves real, "from scratch" food. I should point out that the service crew in the dining room who delivered the food as well as provided cleanup and assistance, were exceptional. They were friendly, courteous, and focused on customer service. I'm sure they deserve more than they are being paid. It was obvious many of them were spanish-speaking immigrants. I like the Spanish Omelet keto-style. Instead of a biscuit and grits, you get a half of an avocado (sliced) and a roasted tomato. The omelet is always full of flavor, and I love it. My husband's favorite is their White Chocolate Bread Pudding Pancakes, with bacon ($2 extra). Don't let the name deter you--these pancakes aren't too thick. They are slightly chewy, and the white chocolate whiskey sauce is amazing. He rarely uses the syrup! Ruby's coffee is always good and strong, and their service is great, no matter who you get. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. It was smaller than I expected and didn't really resemble an omelet. It was a little messy and slightly runny for my taste. On the side, I added a single pancake and a bowl of grits, both of which were delicious though. I had a good experience and will definitely be back. I just wish the omelet had been prepared a little better.
