I definitely felt like I got my money's worth. The aioli was delicious, and all of the sauces complemented the bowl really well, especially the poke sauce. Even though it's outside of Charlotte, it's absolutely worth the stop if in the area and is a must-try if you're a poke fan. Definitely ranked high on my list of poke spots. I came in and ordered one of their pre-decided bowls, but the woman asked me if I wanted to change anything multiple times! I like that she wanted to check it was what I wanted. My husband and I enjoyed a weekday lunch at Poke Lakes after our neighbor recommended them as a place to try. We both love poke bowls, and the convenience of either choosing a menu item or making a bowl of your own makes this place a winner. My husband had the #5 Molokai bowl. I customized my bowl with a salad base, cucumbers, seaweed salad, avocados, spicy tuna, spicy salmon, poke sauce, coconut ginger sauce, sriracha aioli sauce, and tempura flakes. Their bowls are generously filled with very fresh ingredients, and I couldn't finish all of mine. We both loved the spicy salmon and tuna, and would definitely get this mix again. And I love that you can have a low-carb meal here! The only downside is that the prices can get kind of high when you add multiple ingredients that cost extra. Our two bowls with water and a soda were $34.30. We noticed the staff cleaning the tables as soon as customers left. The place was exceptionally clean, and the staff were quite friendly and helpful. Their selection to create your own poke' bowl was impressive. Ingredients were all fresh, portions were generous and the prices were extremely reasonable. I cannot say enough good things about this restaurant and location. It was brilliant to put it at exit 23. There is nothing that compares to this in quality and price without traveling a distance. So excited to try this new place in Cornelius. Conveniently located on Torrence Chapel Road (near Fresh Market) where many new businesses are popping up. I had the Maui mix, a combination of marinated tuna, edamame, avocado, corn etc. It was a generous amount and so so fresh. My husband had the molokai, a mixture of spicy salmon, spicy tuna, edamame, etc. It had a little "bite"/spice, but very delicious. My only complaint (just a personal preference) is that it's a Pepsi rather than coke soft drink option. The restaurant is clean and very attractive, and the staff friendly and accommodating.
