I was heading out on the Lake on a mild December day and husband and I decided to stop in to Crafty Burgr Kenton for lunch first. I don't normally come in to this location; this is only my second visit here. They have very friendly staff who allows you to seat yourself. Not too busy on a midday Saturday so there was ample seating. Our server came by for drink orders and gave us a chance to look over the menu. We decided on a BBQ chicken sandwich with onion rings and French fries and an Asian chicken salad. The sandwich was piping hot and done really well. It was the first time trying a salad here and it was definitely good. It was too big to finish, so I had half wrapped up. Loved the hot chicken on top of cold salad. Very tasty. I would definitely return to this location. I am not always by this Crafty Burgr, but service here was very good and the place had a comfortable feel, not too loud and nice and bright. I sat outside today because it was a nice summer day. My server was Alejandra. She was very attentive to my every needs (and I had a few) I had the crafty nachos with chicken for appetizers and I had the classic crafty burger, medium rare and it comes with 2 sides so I did the fries and crafty beans. The burger was good but the beans were out of this world. They made them with what tastes like bacon, ground beef and various beans. They were amazing. For a drink I had the beach water. It was a little too sweet for my preference but I added a lemon and it have used some sour mix. All in all I will be back and with my dog next time as they allow dogs on the patio. read more

After hearing many good things about Crafty Burg'r, I decided to try them out on Friday evening. I decided to grab a few items such as burger and fries, fried pickles and the loaded mac & cheese. All were actually very good and left me with a good impression of Crafty Burg'r. I called my order in ahead of time and did a pick up. Upon arrival my order was ready and I was back out the door headed home, since I had paid online already. Got home and started chowing down on the food. It was a good Friday evening. LOL! The staff was friendly and helpful, from the person that took my order over the phone, to the person who assisted me when I picked up my order in person. It's located in a shopping center with a variety of other stores and establishments, so the parking lot is very plentiful. They also have an outside patio where you can sit and enjoy your food as well as indoor seating. read more

Unfortunately I didn't have a great experience at Crafty. I placed an order online, went grocery shopping, and was expecting my meal to be waiting for me when I got there around 2:30pm. It was kinda busy, but still plenty of tables available so not completely slammed. Someone greeted me at the door, I told them my name and was picking up an online order, and they said they just saw it and went back to find it. Then a few minutes later someone else told me they were just waiting on one thing and it'll be ready in a minute. The bag was sitting on the counter at this point just waiting on the last piece in full view. 15 minutes later I'm still waiting. No one has put anything new into the bag. I've been making eye contact with the people I've talked to every time they pass by me. I'm just waiting. Then one of the guys looks at the bag and says I'm all set haha. I asked if everything was in there because that bag as been sitting on the counter for 15 minutes, and he said yes. So he handed me the bag and I'm super annoyed but excited to finally be able to eat haha. Well, turns out the onion rings never made it, also the $3 can of coke I ordered never made it either. So horrible experience so far. Then I finally am ready to eat and the Fried Avocado Bites are soggy at this point because they've been steaming in this bag since probably before I even got there. They didn't really have much flavor anyway so I tried a couple and bailed. Then onto the burger. Not horrible but nothing that special either. Honestly I'd take a 5 Guys burger or Shake Shack over this any day. I was kinda pumped for the onion rings from the pictures I saw online, but they were missing haha. Doh. And lastly the Mac and Cheese had a great creamy consistency, the noodles were solid, but there was just something about the flavor that threw me. Maybe it was a unique kind of cheese or maybe something else, but I just wasn't feeling it. Found a gem in Cornelius. A few booths, several tables and patio seating with great food and friendly service. They have about a dozen burger combos or you can build your own. I really enjoyed the Bacon Jam Burger but the standout was the bread pudding side - great consistency with a good balance of savory and sweet. So glad I picked that as a side. I've tried this place on three separate occasions and have yet to be anything but disappointed in the food. Last night was the final time- I ordered the "craft your own burger" with two pattys, gouda cheese, tomato, pickles, mushrooms and jalapeños. This was easily the worst burger I've had. I ordered it medium, it was medium well, but cold. The cheese was not melted and it looked like it had been thrown together as an after thought. For my two sides, I chose the seasonal salad (which was some sort of weird pasta salad in what tasted to be slaw sauce) and the beans which was more of a soup. This isn't the first time the food has been less than impressive. It's just not good. I feel like the $53.00 i spent on my meal was money that I Lot on fire. Beer selection is decent but would it kill you to put one domestic beer (Bud light, Miller, Lite, Coors Light, Mich Ultra) on tap? I can stay home and drink out of the 16oz aluminum bottles. Service was decent, dude was attentive, TVs had the Florida-Alabama basketball game on and the music was good. But I won't be back because of the food. read more

We started with an order of wine - 19 Crimes red blend and you receive a generous pour for $7! The hubster ordered a couple of IPA's AB & Wooden Robot a lil late during our meal! Our appetizer was the avocado bites likely breaded n fried served with their signature Boom Boom sauce - spicy siracha mayo basically but yummy! I ordered the bacon jam Chicken Sammy topped with apple slaw n sides of crafty beans a mixture of beans like butter, Lima, white, kidney etc with grd beef n bacon n their seasonal cucumber salad- DELISH! We decided on Crafty Burg'r late Monday evening (not going to lie it was not our first choice)! But upon arriving we were greeted and sat immediately! Our server introduced herself and inquired about if we had dined there before. We told her no, so she gave us this quick run down; everything is made fresh daily, the kids menu is only $1.50( she had us sold there honestly), the entrees come with our choice of 2 sides and there was a hotdog menu on a separate insert. She also made recommendations on her favorites the. Allowed us to look over the menu. We decided on a chicken finger kids meal with fries for the kiddo, the fingers were well seasoned and fried crisp! We could tell that these were fresh tenders by the breading, super yummy! The fries were a good addition. We ordered bar drinks while we decided on entrees. We had the Watermelon Bold Rock and the Blue Fizz... eh. Lol, that's about all I can about say. I personally am not the biggest fan of the watermelon cider, as I don't believe it has a taste. The Blue Fizz was a mixed drink special that has a vodka base, middle blueberries, honey, lime and soda. This was a very relaxing drink, you definitely get the honey and lime notes, the rest left more to be desired. The person joining me was amazed by the fingers so much so that he ordered a crispy chicken sandwich, plain with Mac n cheese and fries. The sandwich was two large tenders between a brioche roll, A1! Nice flavor and tender! I would not order the Mac n cheese again, it looked like leftover noodles and sauce tossed together in a bowl (we'll say it's because it was the end of the night). I had a build your own burg'r, with onion rings and bread pudding(pretty cool you can get your dessert as a side!) Which I mean you can't really go wrong with! For my first time trying this place I wasn't too impressed. I ordered the BBQ burger and for my two side I chose Mac & cheese + onion rings. Well the burger was good but warm and my onion rings were more like onion strings and cold. The Mac & cheese was cold so I told the server and she comes back out with a burning hot glass bowl. You knew immediately that she put the Mac and cheese in the microwave because why would the glass be hot? I wasn't happy at all and didn't eat it. I had the Mac N Cheese Burg'r, the fries were not hand cut as stated on the menu (they were the frozen type unfortunately), the onion rings were more like a deconstructed onion stack as they were very thin cut and most were burnt. I would definitely give 5 stars for the delivery, order accuracy, and the Fried Pickles as they were quite delicious. Our hopes were really high but I think the disappointment started when we went to the Denver location. Google said it was open, but when we got there we saw a sign that said it's closed Mondays. We aren't from the area and we were determined to get a good burger, so we headed to Cornelius. The decor was cute and our waiter was nice. We noticed that the loaded fries have beer cheese and we mentioned that we weren't too sure about it but the waiter assured us they were good. (Note: we didn't like the cheese.) What we didn't realize (and he didn't tell us) is that the macaroni and cheese is also made with the beer cheese. That pretty much ruined the experience for us. The pictures of the Mac and cheese looked so good online so we ordered it on our burgers and as sides...and then we didn't like it. The burgers also didn't have a ton of flavor. I liked mine because I got it with pimento cheese, bacon and the lettuce and tomato. The bun was also tasty. My daughter also really liked her kids burger.
