They may have been, I don't know the owners. ( unlike every other ass..) We had our puppy ( she is an ass) so we sat outside and the woman behind the bar kept coming out to make sure we were taken care of. The food was well seasoned, well cooked, and the food we took to go was cooked perfectly! My only complaint is the sweet potato fries that we ate as an appetizer were under cooked. So I just ate here around 4 o'clock on Saturday thy were not busy at all it was myself and 2 couples. The staff was cool we chopped it up some talking about the food and what was good. Two things were recommended the western burger or something and the mushroom Swiss. Being a mushroom Swiss fan I opted for it. The combo with two sides and the burger was like almost $14 and though I thought it included a drink it did not and my bill came to like $18.40 after tax or something. Real talk the fries were warm but not hot or fresh, the onion rings were very over cooked in my opinion (no onion at all the entire thing was crispy) and the burger was so so definitely not best in Denver as claimed. I just left the Crafty Burger in Denver, the first time coming here in a few years. I cannot believe the service! I ordered a hot dog with Chili Onions and Cheese with Fries and Mac. Easy right? My boiled hot dog came out saturated in chili, no cheese and not even hot all the way through because it was cold in the middle. Before even taking a bite, I asked for cheese I had ordered and Hannah gave me a fry tray with a piece of cheese laying in it. The hotdog and chili was so cold, it wouldn't even melt it. Then there was the cardboard fries and the Mac and Cheese tasted like it just came out of the fridge. I told her it was cold and Hannah made no attempt to fix it. I still paid for it, and tipped her (15%) though it was the worst meal I have had in a long time. I haven't eaten here in a while. Initially I really liked crafty burger, especially the one in Cornelius. But it seemed that the burgers had just become another overpriced burger, nothing special. I decided to try them again a couple of nights ago. The bun was cold and a little dry. The burger was ok but honestly Wendy's looks better put together, with more lettuce and tomato. Wendy's bun is soft and moist, not crazy about Wendy's burgers either but these 2 shouldn't be mentioned in the same sentence.Not a bad burger but not what I would expect from a more upscale burger joint. I lived in Cornelius till a little over two years ago and was very familiar with the two Crafty Burg'r. The location in Kenton Place is the original location and the one in Antiquity followed a couple of years later. I was never a fan of either of these locations because the staff was indifferent and would tend to ignore you. Therefore, trying the Denver location was never very high on the list of restaurants I wanted to try. Finally, after living over here for two years and making a Publix Run, I decided to give them a try since they are in the same shopping center. Must say that the service is much better at these two locations. Walked in and was immediately seated and at the same time a menu was presented, and my beverage order taken Unsweetened Tea with Lemon) Spotted something on the menu called a West Coast Dog which I guess is their rendition of what is called a California Dog elsewhere. Very hard to find in this area. Along with that I ordered Onion Rings as a side along with Bread Pudding. The West Coast Dog was excellent with plenty of Avocado. The sauce was a kind of a Remoulade which is not my favorite but it did complement the Dog nicely. The Onion Rings were excellent being thinly cut and very crispy. The Bread Pudding was excellent. Service and the food were good. Ambience was nice and much like the other two locations but what makes this location standout is the Service and the Food. read more

She continued to give him special treatment and flirtatiously leaned over him, pouring our drinks. She then gave me attitude and continuously ignored me request. Other than that, our food was good and well-made we got the fries as our appetizer and we got their aloha burger and their barbecue chicken and they were good. Crafty Burg'r is a welcome addition to the restaurant scene in Denver. I have had hit or miss experiences here on my visits, but I'm still giving them 4 stars because the service is always great, so I will eventually find my go to dish! Parking is plentiful. It's in the same shopping center as Publix, so very convenient if you want to do a little grocery shopping (or hop into Southern Native for some cool gifts) after your meal. They are doing all they can to socially distance and adhere to Covid 19 restrictions. We've always felt perfectly safe from staff there. Masks are worn by the staff. The food for me is hit or miss. The Chicken sammies were huge and tasty. The burger looks like it uses a pre-formed patty and that's just not my favorite. I love a hand patted burger. On my last visit I got a hot dog and honestly I make a better one at home. Next time I'll try the fish sandwich and see how that is. I love the majority of the sides I've tried with the exception of the macaroni and cheese. The fries are just fine, the onion rings are crispy and delicious, the beans are different but good. My favorite is the bread pudding that they offer as a side. So sweet it will make your cheeks hurt, but so yummy! We've also tried the fried pickles and the gouda stix. We liked the pickles, but not the gouda stix. Fried pickles were delish, if not pretty salty, but we didn't enjoy the gouda stix at all. The cheese is too gooey and they serve it with barbecue sauce. No one at the table liked these at all. Seating offered here include indoor and patio seating. They do allow dogs on the patio. I love that! This is a great restaurant for a very casual meal. We went there on a Saturday at noon. It was our first time there. We got two different burgers, a Cobb salad, and kids chicken tenders(two HUGE chicken tenders). Everything was fantastic. Besides the chicken tenders being a little on the salty side and greasy side(still super tasty though), everything was really great. Came out hot and fresh. Well tonight we ordered take out and when my husband picked up the food they handed him the receipt and thank God he looked at it because an additional 15 dollars was added for a tip without my husbands knowledge. He said ummmm who added this tip I did not do this. She immediately said oh I'll take it off. She came back slammed down the correct receipt and walked away with an attitude. This is so wrong on so many levels. Waitress was good and attentive, food came out in a timely fashion and prepared as ordered. Baked beans and mac and cheese were very good, fries were ok. Bun was strange ... hard on the bottom, while the top fell apart. Burger appeared to be a bought patty, fried on a flat top, and dry for a flavorless meal. What a bust. First the good. The waitress was very very good, enthusiastic and hard working. She had to work hard, they were understaffed and the manager apparently doesn't believe it's her job to help out. She did mention to the waitress that she should be prepared to dust the liquor bottles when the crowd thinned out. The second good actually great thing were the beans. Unusual but probably the best I ever had. I switched to s double burger after the guy next to me that his tasteless burger was hard to find in the serving bun as it was do small. I should have taken that as a hint to cancel my order which had been delayed cause the kitchen had screwed I up. The burgers were mediocre and seemed kind of greasy. But that could have been the impact of the sautéed onion. In any case the bun fell apart under the onslaught. The fries were mediocre as well. The waitress was nice enough to ask if I wanted a to go cup of iced tea when she took my check prior to a very long disappearance before she eventually returned my credit card. The owner Neal is a nice guy, but clearly after getting this place off to a decent start has completely lost focus and retreated back to the other side of the lake. Came here this lazy Sunday night because it's close and should be good, quick and easy. Took about 45 minutes to get a sandwich 2 hot dogs and a burger. But another 8 minutes for the salad we ordered so everything else got nice and room temperature. Salad came with no avacodo which it's supposed to. They bring avacodo on the side, brown and slimy. They tried again, looked like this...good thing it didn't touch the rest of the salad. Beers on tap hasn't changed in 2 years.
