I stopped in here before going into Food Lion for a quick Friday to go lunch. I ordered the Flounder Dinner Special $12.99 (flounder, hush puppies, fries and coleslaw). The place is very clean. When I came back, my food was ready and it was hot! I live less than 2 minutes away. When I got home the food was still nice and hot. It was two thin pieces of flounder, 3 hush puppies and fries. The fish was the best part of the meal, but very thin. The container of coleslaw was not good at all. I tried to like it, but it tasted almost soured. I ended up throwing everything away except the fish. I couldn't even finish the hush puppies and fries. I may try another dish on another day, but I don't recommend this meal read more

I moved away but I used to go this place once a week. The staff is amazing and the food is excellent. I have gotten to go and eaten in many times. Never had any bad experiences and the family atmosphere is amazing. I cannot say enough about this place its amazing. read more

It's been a number of years since I have been here but tried it again for lunch today. We moved over to Denver from Cornelius NC 2 1/2 years ago and this restaurant has never made it into our restaurant rotation even though I love Greek Cuisine. Reviewed the menu online before I went over (less than 3 minutes from my house) and decided on the Souvlaki Sandwich which is Pork, Tomato, Onion, Tzatziki Sauce on a Pita. For a side, I was going to get the Fried Onion Rings along with Unsweetened Tea. Apparently, they have remolded since the last time I was here but that was probably 6 or 7 years ago. Big improvement because everything is nice and fresh and clean and aesthetically pleasing. Walked in and was directed to the counter where the hostess directed me to their menu board to my left. A little different from the online menu but the items I had wanted to order were still there. After I llaced my order and they gave me my tea, I found a table and sat down and waited for my lunch. 15 minutes later, a young lady showed up with my lunch. Portions are large and very filling, and the Fired Onion Rings are great. The Souvlaki on the other hand was a bit disappointing. The Pork was so overcooked that it had a very chewy texture and almost on flavor. The Tzatziki which is supposed to give a contrast was little more than sour cream. Reviewed a review I wrong on a different web site years ago,, the menu has shifted from a menu with a heavy Greek inspired menu to a more Americanized version. That in of itself is a tragedy. Will go again and this time just stick with an Americanized Cheese Burger. read more

I'm not from the area so I wanted to try the sweet tea the two older females at the register was very rude, one of them told me I had to pay in order to taste the tea which I said that's fine and I proceed to purchase the drink and I left and sipped the drink and it gave me a a metal after taste like the container was not properly clean. So I returned the drink and asked if I could replace it and the other lady walks up and says "how do you walk in a place and ask .. " i said I didn't like it so I would like something different I didn't like the taste She grabbed the cup and squeezed it and got tea over my hand slam the drink out the cup and chug a cup full of ice in my cup and as I ignored their ignorance I told them to have a good day and the lady that snatched the cup out my hand continued to speak under her breath as I walked out I spent 3.06 for a drink that was no good I deserve a new drink I spent my money for a good product and if you don't produce that then don't sell it. read more

DON''T EAT HERE,, My wife and I have been going to this establishment for many years and always had good food and service. The last time we visited, my wife ordered the hamburger with coleslaw and chili on it and it was not good at all. She just chalked it up as them having a bad day. We revisited Them today and she ordered the same hamburger hoping it was gonna be different. The hamburger was totally dry as well as the chili. Had no flavor and so this time we brought it to the owners attention. The owner asked her if it was so bad why did she order it again and she explained that she thought the last time they were just having a bad day. The owner was very rude and never even apologized or tried to make it right. Was very arrogant. My wife stated that we were going to write a review and she said go ahead. We have eaten here for years. Today they were very rude and condescending. My wife and I ordered hamburger steak with grilled onions. This is what the menu said. We received mushy boiled onions, pure mush. I mentioned to one of them that the food was great but that the onions appeared boiled. She snapped back at me that yes they are boiled and that's exactly how they are supposed to be. Then a smart "thanks for letting me know and if you want the grilled just tell us ". The menu says grilled but you get mushy boiled which you wouldn't be expecting. Anyway we looked at the menu again on the way out, it says grilled onions. I called once I confirmed this, I didn't appreciate how we were talked to. Again, I was told that the onions come boiled although the menu says grilled and that they "were not going to change their menu after 20 years because someone didn't like it" , although it is false advertising. Then she hung up on me. Also my wife picked up some sweet and low from a table for her tea, one of the ladies yelled across the store , to my wife, " there are condiments on every table " totally unnecessary comment and was meant to be critical. Decent Greek gyro and burger joint. The gyro platter came with the typical gyro meat, and lots of it. Very generous portion of meat. The Greek dressing was good. My fries and meat weren't that warm. You order and pay up front at the register and they deliver the food. Overall a solid Greek fast food style place at a decent price for what you get. Burgers are nothing to get excited about. I'm taking away two stars since there is nothing amazing here, but not much to complain about either other than food temperature. read more

Let me preface my review by saying that after reading the reviews from the W-Family...I was very excited to check out the Everest Grill. I love Greek food, and have tried many if not all in the area. SO I WILL JUST CAUTION YOU NOW STAY AWAY FROM THE EVEREST GRILL AT ALL COSTS!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I do not know what the W-Family was thinking or smoking when they reviewed this place. The the family running this dump is from GREASE...not Greece. I ordered a "gyro" (which is a greek sandwich made of thin slices of spiced lamb or beef or a mixture on a warm pita with lettuce tomato and yogurt sauce...really delicious and simple right...) and a side "greek" salad to stay.....here is what I got (please forgive me for not taking a picture, but just keep reading) 1st off my order to stay came out in to go containers, at which point the person serving it to me asked if that was ok....I said fine even though all three of the other patrons were eating off of standard paper/plastic plates. I was excited to taste so I open my beautiful Styrofoam container to see big thick slices or "gyro" like meat, a pita and some really sad looking components that would normally make up a greek salad, 2 little plastic containers that contained the "greek" salad dressing and the yogurt sauce. The "gyro" meat was cold....and had the texture and taste of an old sponge. (Boy they must be proud to serve such fine authentic greek food.) The greek yogurt sauce had this horrible flavor like it had been sitting in the fridge for a while. Both were completely un-edible. Well on to the salad....I guess....I thought to myself they cannot possibly make a bad greek salad. Well let me tell you the dressing had the look and consistency of a cup of snots with greek dry seasonings inside. I tried it and almost lost my cookies. Enough I thought...and proceeded to throw the whole meal in the trash....a waste of $8. I do not write reviews often, and I thank you for staying with me on this....but if yelp allowed a negative star rating this place would positively take the prize. Simply put if the family that runs this place is from Greece, they either shouldn't have been allowed through customs, or should immediately be deported back for shaming themselves, their country, and all of Denver and the surrounding areas with the most sorry excuse for greek food I have ever encountered. To be honest my biggest regret was subjecting my beautiful girlfriend to the most horrific gastronomical event in our entire lives. TRUST ME....JUST SAY NO!!! read more

I've been here a few times and the service is the best you could ask for. The family is from Greece and makes Greek and American food. Whether you get a burger or a Gyro you won't be disappointed. They are the only place around that has the traditional rotating spit for the meat and they serve them with scorching hot pita and an awesome garlic tzatziki sauce. The Everest Grill has delicious, homemade, fresh food. I stumbled upon this restaurant by mistake when I made a wrong turn. It was my lucky day. Everything I've tried on the menu is delicious. My family and I LOVE Everest grill! The service is always amazing and the staff is always friendly. Both their chicken and lamb gyros are always so tasty! They also serve breakfast which I just learned! You order at the counter, sit down, then are served for the remainder of the meal. One thing I wish is that they would put a tip line on the CC receipt since I'm always forgetting cash to leave at the table. I have worked in the Denver area for about 9 months now and there are not many quick lunch options aside from fast food & Showmars. I was so tired of Harris Teeter subs and Greek salads from Showmars, so I decided to give Everest Grill a try today and I'm glad I did! I ordered the Chicken Pita to-go. The pita was really good (better than Showmars), the lady at the counter was very nice and the order was ready in about 5-7 minutes.
