I'm not from the area so I wanted to try the sweet tea the two older females at the register was very rude, one of them told me I had to pay in order to taste the tea which I said that's fine and I proceed to purchase the drink and I left and sipped the drink and it gave me a a metal after taste like the container was not properly clean. So I returned the drink and asked if I could replace it and the other lady walks up and says "how do you walk in a place and ask .. " i said I didn't like it so I would like something different I didn't like the taste She grabbed the cup and squeezed it and got tea over my hand slam the drink out the cup and chug a cup full of ice in my cup and as I ignored their ignorance I told them to have a good day and the lady that snatched the cup out my hand continued to speak under her breath as I walked out I spent 3.06 for a drink that was no good I deserve a new drink I spent my money for a good product and if you don't produce that then don't sell it.

The first thing you notice when stepping into Everest Grill on Highway 16 in Denver, North Carolina, is the exceptional cleanliness, which is further reinforced by the 100 health score proudly displayed on the wall. The restaurant has a diner-style setup where you order at the counter, and the friendly staff brings your food to the table. The menu offers a wide variety of great choices, and I settled on the gyro plate. The front staff were friendly, attentive, and helpful, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. My meal included a Greek side salad, which was super fresh and flavorful. The gyro itself was soft and pillowy, and the tzatziki sauce tasted homemade--definitely a dish I would recommend.

One and Done wanted something fresh typically Greek is ALWAYS fresh I ordered the salad with chicken. The lettuce was wilted and the cucumbers looked as if the made the salad the day before well and just put chicken on it and what kind of Greek restaurant doesn't have hummus or and did I mention the serve it with crackers you've got to be kidding me.

Picture of the burger she ordered. Hardly any chili and it was dry like just cooked hamburger.

DON''T EAT HERE,, My wife and I have been going to this establishment for many years and always had good food and service. The last time we visited, my wife ordered the hamburger with coleslaw and chili on it and it was not good at all. She just chalked it up as them having a bad day. We revisited Them today and she ordered the same hamburger hoping it was gonna be different. The hamburger was totally dry as well as the chili. Had no flavor and so this time we brought it to the owners attention. The owner asked her if it was so bad why did she order it again and she explained that she thought the last time they were just having a bad day. The owner was very rude and never even apologized or tried to make it right. Was very arrogant. My wife stated that we were going to write a review and she said go ahead. You're not the first and walked away. We will never visit this establishment again if this is how they treat their customers.

I had a quick need for quick shrimp and perch. Tarter sauce is good. Cocktail sauce needs horseradish. Met my need.

    With Grilled Onions.

We have eaten here for years. Today they were very rude and condescending. My wife and I ordered hamburger steak with grilled onions. This is what the menu said. We received mushy boiled onions, pure mush. I mentioned to one of them that the food was great but that the onions appeared boiled. She snapped back at me that yes they are boiled and that's exactly how they are supposed to be. Then a smart "thanks for letting me know and if you want the grilled just tell us ". The menu says grilled but you get mushy boiled which you wouldn't be expecting. Anyway we looked at the menu again on the way out, it says grilled onions. I called once I confirmed this, I didn't appreciate how we were talked to. Again, I was told that the onions come boiled although the menu says grilled and that they "were not going to change their menu after 20 years because someone didn't like it" , although it is false advertising. Then she hung up on me. Also my wife picked up some sweet and low from a table for her tea, one of the ladies yelled across the store , to my wife, " there are condiments on every table " totally unnecessary comment and was meant to be critical. Don't know what's going on, everything in there looked mad. Won't go back.

This lamb gyro is probably the best I've had!

Decent Greek gyro and burger joint. The gyro platter came with the typical gyro meat, and lots of it. Very generous portion of meat. The Greek dressing was good. My fries and meat weren't that warm. You order and pay up front at the register and they deliver the food. Overall a solid Greek fast food style place at a decent price for what you get. Burgers are nothing to get excited about. I'm taking away two stars since there is nothing amazing here, but not much to complain about either other than food temperature.

The pita was really good (better than Showmars), the lady at the counter was very nice and the order was ready in about 5-7 minutes.

Love the bright…read morecolors, vibe, tie dye shirts and all the thought and care put into a menu with something for everybody. We got there like an hour before close. They had 86d a couple items so some may want to pop in earlier if you're not flexible. Instead of the mini muffin basket we ordered the cinnamon roll. Both of us really liked it. It has the texture, density and cinnamon flavor like the classic. But the frosting is a nice mix of a sweet and touch of tart like cream cheese can be tart and delicious but not sour. Strawberries were an excellent side to this. Brought some more tart and sweet flavor to the dish. I wanted a more traditional grits, eggs and bacon meal. Stone ground grits were on point and quality of ingredients was forefront. Eggs were scrambled wet as ordered. I asked for my bacon to be so crispy that it could be used as a flag pole. They knocked it out of the park. Bacon if you stood it vertical didn't bend or sway. Just the way I like it. I also didn't find it to be too greasy like I sometimes find bacon. Their orange juice is exceptional. It is genuinely fresh squeezed. Having had fresh orange juice like squeezed right after picking from trees, I am a bit of an orange juice connoisseur and this hit the spot. Fruit bowl was fresh, ripe and plump. Definitely made same day and not premade or sitting. Partner enjoyed his tuna melt on sourdough. The cutest thing ever is that they cut a special shape out of the bread. Then it is sat atop a toothpick like thing in the sandwich. It's just adorable but I'll let you discover the shape and not spoil the surprise. The only item I would not recommend would be the latte. My decaf latte was more like decaf coffee with milk in it. I prefer a more traditional espresso shot with steamed milk. Spouse was happy with their beer choice. Excellent meal, great vibes and love the heart that has been put into this place through and through. They have loyalty cards too with fun items after so many visits. Look forward to sharing this place with family. I thought it was worth the 30+ minute drive to experience something with so many unique special qualities to it. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is covered with umbrellas. I did notice the menu had 2 items that could be ordered for pets on it. Not sure if it is for takeaway or they can dine on the patio with their people. Added level of awesome, they support a local rescue and you can bring in unopened bags of dog or cat food. When we went they really were in need of cat food. They also I believe offer a perk to each party if they bring in a bag of food. Epitome of excellent local spot and helps local animal rescue organizations. What's not to adore.

Tried to go a couple of other times to other entities but they were always closed or in transition to new owners. We don't live very far away from there and in years past, our mailing address would have been in Stanley till the developer convinced the USPS that the Denver PO could server our needs better. That remains to be seen. Based on the reviews, I want to give them a try, particularly the hand-pattied Cheeseburger. This was Saturday and we left at 10:45 am and got there at 11:00 am My wife is not a Breakfast person, and we time our trips to catch the early part of the Lunch menu. We walked in and seated ourselves as is protocol. Our server showed up shortly with Breakfast menu's and to take our beverage orders. I ask for a Lunch Menu and she replied they do not offer the Lunch Menu over the week end. I've never seen a BLT offered as a breakfast item but there is was under the Biscuits. I also go a side of Hashbrowns. My wife ordered a more traditional breakfast with eggs, hashbrowns toast etc. Not what she would have normally ordered. The BLT is good although a little sparing on the Bacon. Hashbrowns were outstanding however and probably the best I have had in the area. My wife indicated that here meal was OK but not something that she would order again. Service was good but since we did not have an opportunity to leave a tip when the rang us up and since we don't normally carry cash on us, my wife had to go out the car and get a bunch of one's to leave as a tip.
