    Veggies Omelet with Cheddar Biscuit
    Pj M.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Great atmosphere and staff is freindly.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Breakfast is only served on the weekend (opens at 8). We have been here several times and I just realized I had not reviewed them. The food us fresh and tasty. Portions are amazing. I had the Vegie omelet see photo it comes with a bread side (I had the cheddat biscuit) as well as an additional side (see the fries phoro). I had a glass of unsweetened iced tea as well. My husband had the Baja omelet with a side of bacon and a cheddar biscuit. Our entire bill was $22.15 Definitely check this place out. They also have dinner specials Monday through Sunday.

The kale salad was dry and the food wasn't worth the price.

The food is not good, the salad was dry, the broccoli and rice tastes like boiled water and the tartar sauce was absolutely disgusting and the pico was old and mushy.

    Monday Meatloaf special for $11.99

I could not be more impressed with this place! Above all, service is top notch and that really goes a long way in my book. Our waiter was friendly and attentive while giving us plenty of time to study the menu and make our decisions. He was happy to answer any questions and gave us excellent recommendations. I don't think you could go wrong with any menu option, though. Everything seems to be made with high quality ingredients and has attention to detail that you don't seem to find as often these days. It made for an excellent meal and I'm already dying to return! The menu offers an extensive range of options with a heavy focus on fresh ingredients to make choosing something healthy easy. Of course the meatloaf special caught my eye along with their amazing salad options. The meatloaf eventually won out but trust me, it wasn't an easy decision to make as I seen some really awesome plates pass by our table as we tried to make up our minds. I will certainly be back to try the salads because my side salad alone was possibly my favorite part of the meal! And that's not to say the rest wasn't as good, but the salad was just as amazing as everything else. It was topped with tons of toppings to include cherry tomatoes, red onion, diced cucumbers, lots of cheese, and sliced mushrooms. Everything was well mixed before plating to make sure every bite included toppings and you didn't have to make a mess trying to stir it in the bowl that is doing well to contain such a large salad. The creamy garlic dressing I chose after my first choice was out was delicious. The waiter told me it is their version of ranch dressing. It has the same creamy texture but an even better flavor and is certainly one I would choose again. There wasn't an overpowering garlic flavor which I tend to worry about with anything labeled "garlic" in the name. The meatloaf was covered in a Marsala sauce instead of the traditional ketchup or gravy (as it may seem in photos), which was different than I expected but so very good. There's a depth of flavor that pairs so well with the meat and potatoes of the dish. The portions are substantial and I had leftovers of both the meatloaf and salad to take home that were perfect for lunch the following day. Always a win! My husband ordered the Cajun pasta with blackened filet, which I had also been eyeing and was happy to trade bites to sample. It was even better than I could imagine and I would love to order it for myself once I get a few of the salads I am craving off my list of next tries. The steak was cooked perfectly medium rare as he requested and it didn't require any cutting with a knife. The pasta is presented somewhat deconstructed to create a nice presentation and upon stirring all together, it makes the most perfect creamy sauce with tons of flavor. Even with sharing, we still had a decent size portion of leftovers to again share for lunch the next day. You certainly get your money's worth here as the food it top notch in flavor and quality of ingredients and you have fairly large portions that make for extra meals if your willpower or stomach size can stop you from devouring the entire thing all at once. I look forward to trying more of their menu and revisiting some of the favorites I found on our initial trip. Oh! And speaking of favorites, I almost forgot one of the other shining menu options we had that night! The spinach dip appetizer. It was possibly one of the best spinach dips I've ever had and I know that could be dismissed easily but really, don't miss out on this dip! The chips were perfectly crispy and salted and once you set a few off in a plate, you find the amazing dip that is perfectly creamy and flavorful. It's a good sized portion to hold you over while ordering and awaiting the entrees but isn't super heavy and filling to the point you don't have much room for the rest of your meal. Solid option for an appetizer and one I will certainly order again. All in all, I would highly recommend this restaurant and feel like you can't go wrong no matter what you order. There's certainly something for every craving and the staff are great resources in helping to decide. I'm already wanting another salad for lunch as I write this! The vibe is casual but the staff and food are top notch. It's perfect for lunch or dinner and I have seen some pretty awesome photos of their breakfast options as well. Definitely give them a try if you find yourself in the Denver area!

Almost everything ordered was on the money. My Teriyaki Wrap was very good, just not as hot as usual and maybe a little less taste. In regards to the latter, I might have ordered it wrong. As far as the Cheeseburger and Blackened Chicken, excellent! Fries are good, not great. Brownie Ice Cream (Whip Cream included) is amazing! Service was as good as it gets. And the place is spotless. Even when I walked by the kitchen, I was in awe of the cleanliness. This is a place you go to try many different menu items on different trips. You will always have a great meal, and you will sometimes have an exceptional meal. The Fresh Chef people definitely know how to run a restaurant. Highly recommend!

Thought for sure I had already written a review for this location. We've been visiting here since we moved to Trilogy in Denver a little under two months ago. Not to say we are not familiar with the Fresh Chef Chain because we have been going to the Fresh Chef in Cornelius in Cornelius since they first opened several years ago. Have also dined at the Mooresville Location a couple of time. I think we have been here for three or four visits, generally in the evening. Love the Black and Bleu Salad, their Kale Salad and an excellent Cheeseburger. This is a review of their Brunch Menu and the first time I have had Brunch at a Fresh Chef. They only have Brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Walked in right at 11:00 am just before the big rush hit. Needless to say, it was a Sunday. Promptly seated and drink orders taken. We both had black coffee and their coffee is outstand. Nice and rich with a Robust Flavor. I ordered the California Omelet which is a Omelet with Avocado, Bacon and Cheese. Took it with Whole Wheat Toast and for my side, I had a nice Peppery Biscuit and Gravy which was almost a meal in of itself. My wife ordered the Chicken Salad Sandwich which is one of her favorites from the Dinner Menu. Both were excellent. Almost ordered the California Benedict but will save that for next time Service was very good. They do a good job following the Pandemic Protocols and sanitize after each customer. Will be back again in the near future.

Excellent service and menu! The meatloaf is especially good but burgers and grilled shrimp pasta also excellent. Staff very nice and polite. The specials have changed from what was listed so attaching that.

    Caesar Salad

I came here for lunch today with a friend and felt it was just average. I got the chicken salad sandwich which was just weird. It had cranberries and nuts in it, which I normally don't eat my chicken salad that way, and it was too sweet. I understand cranberries are sweet but this chicken salad was so sweet to the point it tasted like a ton of additional sugar was added. Would not get again. I also got a Caesar salad with my sandwich instead of fries and loved it. It was huge and didn't cost any extra to substitute. Too bad the sandwich wasn't good, because $10 for that huge of a lunch is an incredible value. Service was incredibly lacking. Our water cups were empty practically the whole time, and the waitress gave us our check in the middle of us eating. She didn't ask if we wanted dessert or anything, felt very rushed. Also. there was a credit card fee on our bill, which isn't a big deal but there was no signage up informing patrons about that. My friend paid with cash and the waitress still charged her the credit card fee. In summary I might come back, definitely would be getting a different entree, but won't be rushing back.

My first impression was that this is a very beautiful restaurant. There is lots of lighting, thoughtful artistic pieces, and it has an airy, aquatic ambiance. Even the restrooms were lovely! There is an outdoor patio, as well as a front dining area where the bar is, and a rear dining area with visibility to the kitchen. The front and rear areas are separated by a glass waterfall sign bearing the restaurant's name. We had an absolute outstanding server named Saige. She was attentive and made great recommendations for us. To start, we had Caesar salads. The presentation of these was unique, having somewhat of a ruffled appearance. For the second course, we tried the sautéed shrimp with Cajun spice and charred bread as well as bacon wrapped scallops with Calabrian tomato jam. Finally, for the third course, we had the hanger steak with blue cheese butter and new potatoes. I love blue cheese, and I really loved it as an addition to this dish. Every item I tried, I would order again. Unfortunately, we didn't save room for dessert, but we've heard they are fantastic...next time! After dinner, we went and sat at the bar for a little while, and the staff there was just as delightful. Dining here was a whole experience that I plan to repeat again in the future!

Very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, perfectly attentive. 9/10 Drinks: I had a Jack 12 year for $24 (great price) and an Elijah Craig Barrel Proof for $18 (not bad). My wife had a cocktail which was great and lovely. Bartender was super friendly. 10/10 Appetizers: We ordered 4 oysters which were perfect, fresh and well accompanied by homemade crackers and sauces (10/10). Also, ordered the brussels sprouts which were solid but less spectacular than their description (8.5/10). Entree: This is the one area that was a disappointment. My wife and I shared the tuna with crispy potato salad. I was super adamant that we want the tuna seared/ as raw as possible. Neither my wife or I enjoy cooked tuna. We even joked with the server to just "threaten the tuna with flame" as opposed to cook it. When it came out, it was at least 50% cooked with a little bit of pink in the middle. My wife was super disappointed and this kinda ruined her experience. Maybe we should have sent it back but we ate it. 3/10 If the tuna was cooked correctly, I probably give it a 5 star because we really enjoyed it. But cooking the tuna wrong in a michelin star restaurant after how adamant we were is kind of a huge miss. Maybe we will give it another shot.
