We had gone when they first opened it but never retuned until recently. It wasn't nearly as good as its sister restaurants which we adored. Decided to give it another chance to celebrate my birthday which by the way went unrecognized by the waitress or the restaurant despite them knowing the reason for our celebration. The entrees were good. Not great. We decided to split a wedge salad with our dinner and although they provided a plate they did not split the salad or provide anything with which to cut it. The service was mediocre and the lack of bread was terrible especially for a steak house. read more

My family and I had Thanksgiving dinner here. The location is great, as well as parking, no problem finding a space. It was fairly busy during the time of our seating and reservation, although it was towards the latter time period. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server Nelson was very friendly, helpful and timely. She took great care of us. She even was great at avoiding a collision (she gains extra points for juggling) . The food was tasty; we had both the Turkey and Ham (2/1); the accompanying sides were good as well, I only wish the temperature of the food was hotter (no request was made to take food in the back for heating - I'm sure some could understand ). The atmosphere was great, warm and inviting, hospitality staff checked on us to make sure we were ok. The bartender made excellent cocktails. Was 5 stars, now 1 star. Not a fine dining experience, but charging fine dining prices. $100 for a meal for one with 2 beers, worth it if the food and service are excellent. Neither was the case. Service has completely dropped off, bar staff just don't seem to care. Completely obnoxious group cursing and talking loud at the end of the bar making vulgar comments... no one addresses it, just serve them more alcohol... food was ok at best, overseasoned filets that were not hot when served, not that anyone ever checked... beer glass sat empty and was removed without even asking for refill. Just a pretty crappy experience to spend $100 on... probably will not ever be back. read more

Had a great time celebrating our youngest son's 18th Birthday tonight at Chillfire. Always a great spot for good food and good times. Food is very good, drinks are stiff and the atmosphere is vibrant. Prices are on the upper end but reasonable for the higher quality food. Highly recommend for those special nights out! read more

We had an amazing meal at Chillfire. The service was great from the moment we entered until we left. Especially our waiter. The food came out fast and was delicious. The restaurant was beautiful. Restrooms were clean. Everything was perfect. I was afraid there would be a long wait given it was a weekend evening, but the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside. There were plenty of available tables and staff, even at 6 pm on a Saturday. We had the poutine appetizer which was very good. It was piled high with toppings and piping hot. I was a bit surprised that the fries seemed more like McDonald's fries than the ones cut in house but they were cooked nice and crispy and worked well with the gravy. For entrees I ordered the Oak Island, which was a 6 oz filet with scallops and side of creamed spinach. My husband ordered the prime rib that was one of the specials that day. He was going to order the queen cut but the waiter said it was only $4 difference for the king, so why not go big. He chose the potato hash as his side. Everything was delicious! The scallops were cooked perfectly, as was the filet. It had a perfect sear while still being a perfect medium through the center. The bacon vinaigrette was a perfect sauce, sweeter than I expected from a vinaigrette which I thought complimented the scallops well. The prime rib was a huge cut and cooked to be a perfect rare. I'm not usually one to order rare myself but being prime rib, it seems to be the way to go. I tried a few bites and it was very tasty. Especially with the au jus to dip it in. The potato hash was a great choice for fhe. The sauce was so creamy and the portion was huge. We both left miserably full but enjoyed every minute of it.
