Good Basic Comfort Food Not fancy but a good ole fashioned Southern Diner where everyone if friendly, everyone is "hon or sweetie", tea is sweet unless ordered otherwise and the food is both good and plentiful. My wife and I along with three friends had breakfast last Saturday. My wife was disappointed because she does not like breakfast and prefers lunch while I am the other way around. In any case, nice clean restaurant in the heart of what could be called the old business district of Denver NC. Most of the people are local and regulars and they know a good thing when they see it which is why the keep coming back. I had the two pork chops with eggs over well with hash browns. Pork Chops were great and not overcooked but nice and moist, eggs were still runny but hash browns were great. The mother from Ohio enjoyed here French Toast while two others including my wife, liked their BLT's. It's plain comfort food but plain comfort food done well and served in a friendly atmosphere

This is a very interesting place. A lot better on the inside than it appears on the out. Great friendly service. Large portions. Pretty good food. Sort of Greek, sort of southern, sort of a diner only without breakfasts or pies on display. Well priced. Everybody liked everything. Only the fried fish got a grade below a solid B. Consider the specials! It's like the Friends of Denver, NC. Most of the customers and staff seem to know each other. With their particular menu, I'm surprised that they do a very large to go business.

Excellent food. I had a French dip sandwich on an eight inch bun. Friendliest people around!

Stacy's has a great staff, food is subpar after breakfast. This, of course, is only my opinion. I feel the lunch menu needs an overhaul.

I just don't understand why the locals love this place. It's literally canned and microwaved food. Disgusting.

The food here was highly recommended, so needless to say we were very disappointed. Everything tasted bland, no flavor whatsoever.

Toucan's has very friendly and fast service. It's a nice place to relax have dinner and a drink with a great view of Lake Norman. Everyone I took there loved it and wanted to go back. Bob

Located right on Lake…read moreNorman, the scenery is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here--it's the kind of place where the sunset almost makes you forget you're reading a menu the size of a phone book. The inside was decorated in a fun lake theme! Red flag alert: the menu is massive. I'm a firm believer that no kitchen can master everything from A to Z, and Toucan's kind of proves the point. It was "just okay," maybe as much as good but not quite GREAT but the Shrimp Platter actually held its own! The shrimp were huge, well-seasoned, and the rice and beans were a surprising highlight. The real MVP of the night, though, was our waitress. Managing a party of 15 is usually a recipe for disaster, but she was a total pro. Every order was correct, the food arrived hot, and our drinks never hit empty. Go for the lake vibes and the stellar service, stay for the shrimp, but maybe keep your expectations for the rest of that giant menu in check. A solid choice for a big group outing! We would return for sure next time we'll try a !

Saw some review on Reddit and decided to give this place a try. Totally fabulous! Love the bright…read morecolors, vibe, tie dye shirts and all the thought and care put into a menu with something for everybody. We got there like an hour before close. They had 86d a couple items so some may want to pop in earlier if you're not flexible. Instead of the mini muffin basket we ordered the cinnamon roll. Both of us really liked it. It has the texture, density and cinnamon flavor like the classic. But the frosting is a nice mix of a sweet and touch of tart like cream cheese can be tart and delicious but not sour. Strawberries were an excellent side to this. Brought some more tart and sweet flavor to the dish. I wanted a more traditional grits, eggs and bacon meal. Stone ground grits were on point and quality of ingredients was forefront. Eggs were scrambled wet as ordered. I asked for my bacon to be so crispy that it could be used as a flag pole. They knocked it out of the park. Bacon if you stood it vertical didn't bend or sway. Just the way I like it. I also didn't find it to be too greasy like I sometimes find bacon. Their orange juice is exceptional. It is genuinely fresh squeezed. Having had fresh orange juice like squeezed right after picking from trees, I am a bit of an orange juice connoisseur and this hit the spot. Fruit bowl was fresh, ripe and plump. Definitely made same day and not premade or sitting. Partner enjoyed his tuna melt on sourdough. The cutest thing ever is that they cut a special shape out of the bread. Then it is sat atop a toothpick like thing in the sandwich. It's just adorable but I'll let you discover the shape and not spoil the surprise. The only item I would not recommend would be the latte. My decaf latte was more like decaf coffee with milk in it. I prefer a more traditional espresso shot with steamed milk. Spouse was happy with their beer choice. Excellent meal, great vibes and love the heart that has been put into this place through and through. They have loyalty cards too with fun items after so many visits. Look forward to sharing this place with family. I thought it was worth the 30+ minute drive to experience something with so many unique special qualities to it. Both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoor is covered with umbrellas. I did notice the menu had 2 items that could be ordered for pets on it. Not sure if it is for takeaway or they can dine on the patio with their people. Added level of awesome, they support a local rescue and you can bring in unopened bags of dog or cat food. When we went they really were in need of cat food. They also I believe offer a perk to each party if they bring in a bag of food. Epitome of excellent local spot and helps local animal rescue organizations. What's not to adore.

They used to have a sign that said "No WiFi, talk to each other," But didn't see it this time around. Anyways, Linebergers is a great spot to eat at if you are looking for some good food in the Lake Norman-Mooresville area. This is a fairly casual steakhouse, so if you don't dress up you won't be the odd ball in the room, but you certainly have a choice. Every server is fantastic. They are friendly, they treat you like family, and are quick. To my knowledge, almost every entree comes with a trip to the salad bar. They have the BEST salad bar. DO NOT SKIP ON THE SALAD BAR! They also give you warm rolls with "Texas Roadhouse style" honey butter to start. I highly recommend the prime rib as an entree. Don't get me wrong, it's not the absolute best prime rib I have ever had, but it is up there. It has great flavor, is seasoned well, and is tender. Their creamy horseradish is just ok, but that does not ruin the quality of the meat. The last couple of times they put chopped onions in my mac-and-cheese, which was weird and didn't taste good at all, but luckily this time there were no chopped onions. Both my older and younger cousins got the mac-and-cheese also, and one said that the cheese was too bland, while the other said that the cheese was too strong (sharp). Me personally I think that it is on the more bland side, so Linebergers can take that advice and apply it into their recipe, but nonetheless it is still good. They have the best dessert called the "Lake Norman Mudd Pie," which is essentially a layer of vanilla, coffee, and chocolate ice cream with hot fudge, whipped cream, and Oreo pieces. It is a good treat to have every once in a while, but is rich!! But, if you want a sweet treat, I would recommend opting for that. As a summary, the hospitality at Linebergers is unbeatable and has some pretty solid food (don't forget about the incredible salad bar). Once again, if you are in the area, do not miss out. Head to Linebergers! You will not be disappointed.
