Love Big Bite'z Grill! First of all, I don't think I've ever seen an apostrophe "z" before so I had to give them a try. I'm still curious if the 'z means it's possessive or if it's a contraction. Either way I'm giving them a bonus star for their creativity and rebellious spirit. I got a souvlaki pita with fries and it was solid. The pita was great, and the fries were like McDonald's but crispy - which IMO is a great goal to aim for. No complaints and will most definitely be back soon. The man running the front of house (I'm assuming the owner) was super nice. He told me they prefer orders to go through Toast and not Uber Eats FYI. I went in there to use the bathroom real fast because it was an emergency. Once I was finished the manager calls me over quite loudly, and in front of other customers tells me how inappropriate it was to use the bathroom without asking or buying anything. His reasoning to do this was "what if I entered your house, to go to the bathroom and didn't ask you" what a stupid comparison. It was completely inappropriate of HIM to out my business like that in front of CUSTOMERS. I had an emergency and didn't have time to ask him and did not deserve to be embarrassed like that. Overall the food was alright, but the service was very questionable. A lady came in to use the bathroom midway through me and my family eating, and when she returned the cashier went ballistic very loudly about how rude she was for using a bathroom. Strip mall restaurant with a single counter man and cook working during our visit. Everyone who came in (other than us) called the counter guy by his first name, and he knew most of their's, that kind of neighborhood restaurant. Most people did take out, but we sat at one if the tables. One other gentlemen's ate there as well. Not fancy, and tables could have used a wipe down. My wife and I each had Greek food, a chicken gyro for me and a Greek salad for her, both were OK. While the counter guy was gabbing with several customers, not about ordering food, the other gentleman's food order appeared from the kitchen, the cook rang the bell, and the food sat and waited for at least five minutes. The cook rang the bell a second time, but the counter guy never looked back until he rang up another order from a take out customer. My recommendation: do what most people seem to do and call ahead or order takeout, and do not eat there. read more

Stopped by for lunch (take out only of course) as it was close to my office. Ordering was simple, I just called and a kind lady took my order. About 20 minutes later my food was ready for pick up. The process was quick and streamlined, and they had hand sanitizer there. I ordered a gyro combo that came with french fries and a piece of baklava for dessert. The gyro was ok, but nothing that special. The fries were good, crispy and hot. I didn't feel like the pita bread was warm enough and it had the taste of the plastic bag it came in. The baklava, while my favorite part of the meal, still could have been better. I can report the size of it was enormous, but it was very juicy and messy. I also thought it had a taste of preservatives and maybe not homemade? I can't be certain of that, but it wasn't the best I've had. Great Greek Diner This is one of three Big Bite'z in the area. This one is less than a mile from my house. The other two are in Mooresville and Indian Trail, all owned by the same family. My wife, when she is busy and runs out of time, will stop here and pick up dinner for me. It's a typical Greek Diner with Gyro's etc, along with some of the best Lamb dishes on the Lake and a Shrimp and Fish Platter that is great. Had the seafood last week. The food is very good, the portion size is so large that even large eaters like myself have trouble eating it in one setting and the prices are extremely reasonable. So why did it take so long for me to try Big Bite'z??? Well, for one, I didn't know it existed but I sure am glad I do now! Think Showmar's only better with more of a family feel. Very much a Greek diner type of place with the usual suspect Gyro's, Souvlaki, Greek chicken pitas and salads. There is more to the menu however with burgers, fish and shrimp, steak sandwiches, etc. The Gyro is very good, served with lettuce, tomato, onion and yogurt sauce and it is HUGE! The homemade onion rings are certainly better than the frozen out of a bag variety but are not truly outstanding. Do not go here if you're even remotely concerned about Covid. Not only do they blatantly disregard Covid safety protocols, but are outright rude to people who question them on it. I recently ordered lunch for pickup and when I stepped into the restaurant, I realized that none of the cashiers (and very few patrons) were wearing masks. I went ahead and paid for my order, assuming that at least the kitchen staff would have prepared food with masks. It wasn't until after I paid and was walking out that I saw that no one in the kitchen was wearing a mask either. I stepped outside to speak with my family about whether any of us were comfortable eating the food, and we came to the consensus that we weren't. I walked back inside and explained to the owner that we weren't comfortable eating the food, given that the staff preparing it wasn't wearing masks, and asked for a refund (I intentionally tried to be very quiet/discrete as to not cause a scene). Immediately, the owner started yelling loudly at me in front of the entire restaurant, pointing at random patrons not wearing masks and saying "why don't you go tell him/her that they're making you uncomfortable" and telling me that "people like you are ridiculous." Needless to say, he refused to give me a refund and I just left the food on the front counter. read more
