    White Truffle Burger

Shake Shack is the new family burger place that offers milkshakes, different lemonade drinks, and crinkle fries options. White truffle burgers were the big feature, so we to give them a try. The sauce added a nice savory flare to the cheese, burger, and fried onions on topped. What I like about their burger they are filling, but don't give your stomach that after heavy bloating feeling you regret. Now, I always get the cheese fries. I am not a big fan, but what's a burger without fries, especially crinkle one. I think it may be the grease they use on them. The staff is always nice and walks around to make sure you are OK.

The first time I tried Shake Shack was at the JFK airport. My experience was not good to say the least so as a die-hard In-N-Out fan I was secure in my belief that Shake Shack was no competition at all. I've been in the Cornelius area for the past 4 days for work and when I saw there was a Shake Shack location here I thought I'd give it another go to see if a traditional brick and mortar location would show me the real deal. You can order from a kiosk or at the counter but I chose the kiosk because it seemed faster. The kiosk was easy to navigate and I had quickly placed my order for a Single ShackBurger, fries and their Shack-Made Lemonade. Then sat down at a table to wait for the text telling me my order was ready. It took about 10-15 min but I'm definitely ok waiting for food to be cooked fresh. When I got my food I could immediately see and smell how fresh and hot the burger was. The cheese was super melted and gooey! I don't even like cheese on my burgers much but I'm sure happy I kept it on there this time. Of course I took a bite of my fries first, this is where this location lost one star for me. The fries were not as hot or fresh as I'd liked to have had them. They weren't terrible but they were just at the end of their hold time. They were crispy and well seasoned. I just wish they were just out of the fryer fresh. I still ate them and didn't complain to anyone. The lemonade was tart and refreshing. It was a little less sweet than I like but still fresh and good. As I bit into my burger I noticed immediately how soft and light the bun was. It was such a pleasant surprise since the one I had at JFK was cold and dense. The burger was super hot with that crisp exterior from the grill. My only complaint about the burger is the wilted piece of green leaf lettuce that was on it. There was no life left in this lettuce and it's a pet peeve of mine on any sandwich. Green leaf is meant for salad, or a cold sandwich not a burger. Did I still eat every bite? You bet I did! It was delicious!! If I lived nearby I'd be a regular customer. Don't get me wrong, I still think In-N-Out is my favorite but Shake Shack is an close second for me. I'll definitely hit this location up again if I'm in the area.

Came here for lunch today. Burger is always so juicy and melt in your mouth. The fries are standard crinkle fries. Nothing amazing about the fries. Skip the chicken nuggets as it's not their best offering. But man the burger is probably the best fast food burger ever. The staff is quick and friendly. Their burgers are pricer compared to other fast food place but it's well worth the extra price. The whole store was clean and spotless. If you want a juicy flavorful burger head to your local shake shack and get you a double shake.

It's been years since I've visited a Shake Shake and I finally stopped into this location that I've seen multiple times. It's located in a large plaza and let me tell you, parking can be a challenge. You will find parking, you just may have to walk a little. I noticed that the store appeared to be very clean when I walked in, and there are 3 kiosks available where you can place your dine in or to go order. I opted to use that and was excited to see that they accept Apple Pay. Ordering was easy and my wait was brief. Food was nice and hot when I got it too, so I appreciate that. The burger was good, as were my fries and drink. I had a good experience as I've had in the past. The only negative I'd share is that for this to be a fast food place, the burgers are on the expensive side, with the most expensive one being almost $11, and no that is not a combo. Everything is a la carte.

    Chicken Bites-

I took a 7 year old here the Tai Ice tea shake, she complained about the drizzle on top. She said the ketchup tasted weird along with the honey mustard. We spent $30 for 10 nuggets, Tai tea Shake, cup of Ice cream and a plain burger. We had no fries and I had no drink. This was way too expensive. I only liked the burger. This was a waste of Money.

I did not enjoy this experience. I once ate at a Shake Shack in Dallas and was blown away, but this was very different. To begin, the staff was just doing heir job (no smile) and didn't make you feel welcomed. As far as the food... Burger: Unique strong taste, but strong doesn't always mean good. Depends on your buds. Not my thing (burger, not all-around taste buds). Chicken Sandwich: Blah! They just threw a piece of chicken on a bun and added some sauce. Fries: Best part of the meal, but that's like saying the joust was the best part of Medieval Times. Overall, not recommended.

First visit to a Shake Shack and I'm impressed although I will admit that the burger is close to my favorite Double Double at In n' Out. A little smaller than most burgers in the area, it's definitely a superior product. Burger is not overcooked and dry although well done is a menu option. Made with a good meat with enough fat to give it a good taste and texture without dripping grease. The topping are first class. Tomatoes in this area, this time of year taste like cardboard and pretty much have the same texture. Onions which are an option are nice and crisp. Good marriage of all ingredients and the French Fries are some of the best I have eaten in the Charlotte area. It is a bit pricier than other burgers in the area but as they say, "You get what you pay for". They have been open a little less than a month now and still have some kinks to work out. While I was waiting, I had an opportunity to watch and observe the operation. Started out on the self order kiosk and the particular one I was at permitted to specify my toppings but then froze and would not advance to the next screen so I gave up. Ordered at the counter which worked out fine. During the 15 minutes that I waited, I observed three customers who had problems with their orders. The staff took care of those minor problems immediately and the customers ended up satisfied. Finally got my order which was for dine in and by that time, there was only one seat left in dining room so I grabbed it. There is outside seating and while there were some who took avail of it, I did not want to dine in 40 something degree weather. Ate my meal in peace and again it was very good. My wife did not come with me because she thought it was only burgers but they do have chicken and hot dogs but again the chicken is fried so she might be skeptical of that. Very pleased and will be back.

The service was good, I placed an order on the app and it was ready right as I walked in the door, perfect timing. The staff is very nice and it's very clean inside and well ran and organized. I got the shroom burger and added avocado (which was great especially since there wasn't much sauce at all on the sandwich, in my opinion avocado kinda makes it like it has a sauce on a sandwich with the texture), but I would recommend extra sauce if you don't like avocados. I got it to go and it was an hour to get home and ate it almost right away and omg it was really good! Don't expect it to taste like a burger it's gonna taste like a mushroom with cheese which the cheese was excellent! The only thing I'd really say is too light of sauce and not enough lettuce, also wish I would've added onions. Other than that I recommend and I'd get it again! I AM STUFFED!

Meh, all the way around. The employees are doing their very best but are understaffed. The (4) kids didn't finish their meals. By the way skip iPad ordering if your card doesn't have a chip. We did sanitize the tables on the way out to help out.

This place is always buzzing with people! There's a reason for that, you know. Those burgers are delicious! If you like smash burgers, this is your spot. The meat is nicely flat and a tiny bit crispy on the edges. The toppings are fresh and delicious, the lettuce being a nice leaf and not that shredded mess. The fries are so good! Crinkle cut and crispy, we got ours topped with cheese and bacon. The bacon was great, very crispy, and not burned, but I'd skip the cheese sauce next time. Too goopy. I do love the serve-yourself ketchup pump, too! I got the lemonade and my daughter got a chocolate shake. Both were ok, but nothing too special. You can use the kiosk to place your orders, I've done that during a busy time, but on this visit, we were served by the cashier who was kind, friendly, and helpful.

Expensive.... no combos ... you must buy everything separate ..... wasn't impressed
    Meida A.

Ok, the burgers in my opinion were really delicious. Fries were decent. Cheese sauce on the fries was weird tasting. Not sure if that was really cheese or not. In the end, here we have another overpriced burger joint. Would I come back for the burger? Most definitely but not something I'd crave coming back to regularly.

    Their tables are oddly specific.

Located in a safe section of town with what could only be described as a semi-challenging drive-thru setup, Bruster's has the best frozen treats in town! What's more is the fairly young staff are surprisingly kind, sprinkled with a bit of southern charm, and while eager to take your order, they're lightening quick! To be fair, I usually draw out these reviews to be "cool" but he's it's ice cream, it should be "short and sweet." So with that said I'll try to portray my X-wifes order (not that I care about her, but rather the curious people reading the reviews), my two kids and of course, me! I would say call me "Chilly Willy" for this review but that's not my nickname and I think I'm rambling here, so on with the show. The X-wife got ice cream, she was unimpressed as with life, end of story. See, how quick that was? Now my two daughters will amp up the enthusiasm here. My oldest got the brownie bites blast with CHOCOLATE ice cream. She loved it and I sampled it. I'm not a huge chocolate fiend like her so I found it overkill. My youngest got the birthday cake waffle cone. She downed that thing before brain-freeze could kick in. I declined on the taste as I had a feeling what it would taste like. Kids will be kids. As for the polar bear of the crew, I really wanted a cherry cheesecake blast. Alas they didn't have the ability to make it like I wanted so I settled on an Oreo blast. It was good, but a slight letdown. If I were in a vacuum and craving an Oreo shake it was the best one could get. I guess I'm just griping b/c the option wasn't there. Overall, this IS the icecream shop in the area; notice I'm still saying ice cream. Bruster's has a friendly staff with a reasonable selection and horrible drive-thru especially in busy times. Most families and I'd wager all kids will love it. Stop on by to sooth the sweet tooth in your mouth, just don't forget to brush the chompers!

We used to have a Handel's location closer to us, and we miss it greatly, so we make sure to stop anytime we are near one! Handel's is located in a strip mall-type area, in a corner unit. Specifically, it is located right off of 77 and W Catawba Avenue. There is plenty of parking for the complex, so that will not be an issue. The store has plenty of visible signage to point you in the right direction. Our visit was on a Thursday evening in July, a little after 8:00 PM. There were several groups enjoying ice cream, but there was not an overwhelming line. I believe we only had two or three people in front of us before we were able to order. The area outside of the store is not overwhelmingly large, but they have a roped-off area to show where the line should form to avoid it spilling into the dining areas. Some Handel's locations have an inside, but this location is completely outdoors. So, to place your order you simply walk up to the windows, and can then enjoy their patio seating or take your items to-go. When you approach the windows, you will see all of the signage, menu items, and flavors. The flavors were located on a sandwich board on the ground, which made it difficult to see if you were not directly in front of the windows. I could see this being a challenge if there was a long line, as one would not be able to see the flavor lists until right before ordering. We were waited on by a few of the staff members. Since it was not that busy when we ordered, they seemed to be splitting duties. My fiance ordered a Small Cake Cone of Key Lime Pie, and I got a 4 Scoop Sampler with Frosted Animal Cookie, Monkey Business, Chocolate Peanut Butter Brownie, and Blue Moon. I thought the scoops on the 4 Scoop were somewhat small, but no complaints other than that. Additionally, we ordered a Dogster for our dog, and of course he loved it! Personally, the Frosted Animal Cookie was the only flavor I had not tried previously. It was alright...it is very sweet and truthfully did not remind me much of the cookie (besides the actual inclusions of animal cookies in the ice cream). It was made well, but just personally not for me. I have had all of the other flavors before, and they were all great. I love the uniqueness of Blue Moon, and also how refreshing Key Lime Pie always is. Since it was such a nice night, we enjoyed our ice cream on the patio. I love the lights they have strung up over the seating. There were probably around 5 to 6 tables, and a few benches around the perimeter of the patio. I am not sure how busy this location gets, but I could see there being a lack of seating during peak business times. However, we had no issue grabbing a table to sit at during this visit. I thought the prices were in line with what I would expect from a Handel's. Being that I am not from this area, it is hard to say if it is in line with other ice cream shops in the area. For all three of our items, it was around $15 with tax. My only complaint is that the Dogster was $3, which seems high. The staff were friendly and conversational. Since there was no line, I was talking with the one staff member about the Handel's that used to be near us, and enjoyed learning more about this particular location through our conversation. Overall, we enjoyed checking out a Handel's location we had never been to before. This is in a nice area, has plenty of parking, is clean, and has a nice atmosphere. My only critiques were the positioning for the flavors in relation to the line, pricing on some items, and the portion of the 4 Scoop Sampler. However, do not let that deter you from stopping here for a sweet treat if you are in the area!

It was standing room only, since we wanted to order something and head back on the road. It was a small enough ice cream shop that we were just happy to be there. You could feel the subtle ambiance that life is good and things are fine. With that said, I ended up with a pint of chocolate ice cream and my friend had a 2 scoops of her favorite flavor. They already had pre packed pints in the freezer, so I just did that to save time and not have the staff pack a fresh one. We spent at most 20 minutes here from start to finish. It was a delicious treat after arriving in CLT international airport and spent the evening, stopping at Huntersville. It was definitely well needed. The overall experience here at Whit's Frozen Custard here in Huntersville, North Carolina was good and typical at the same time. The staff here was great in taking care of us and the ice cream was delicious. They were friendly and they smiled more than I noticed. I'm not sure what the difference is between genuine ice cream and frozen custard is but, the taste seems to be no difference. Or very little. The prices here are very reasonable, but if you want added value, you should consider the pint or a quart and save the rest in the freezer for a rainy day. Unless of course, you are buying for a party. My experience here at Whit's Frozen Custard was delicious. I'd definitely recommend coming here, if you are in the area, going to or from CLT international airport, consider stopping by for some ice cream. They make it homemade and its fresh every day. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. Whit's Frozen Custard ice cream shop in Huntersville, North Carolina is located at 10410 Arahova Drive in Huntersville. They accept major credit cards and cash, if you have it. As far as parking goes, they have a small parking lot for customers. There is regional public transportation services that come here from the CLT airport, so that's pretty cool. Just search the one that's right for your situation. And of course, ideally, having your own car or a rented one would help a lot with time. Then there's Uber and Lyft, if you need them for your travel needs too. For the most part though, it was very nice to be here and maybe hope to be here again soon, if my future travels permit to do so. Definitely a sweet treat to be had. Definitely recommended if you enjoy all the flavors of the rainbow. 5.0 stars for the overall experience. Support local! A+
