Walk in the front door and you're right in the bar with high tops and lots of screens. Or head to the back right and you're in the restaurant area with more screens. Either way drinks, burgers, and wings are waiting for you. Service was very attentive - the waitress stopped by quickly and was ready to take a drink or app order. Wings were a good size, meaty, and flavorful. The grilled cheese burger was a great meld of two comfort foods and the PB Chocolate Martini was flavorful. I'm giving this place 2 stars because the wings were cooked to perfection. The bill and pricing-insane. We each ordered 12 wings (3 people -36 total). Two of us asked if we could combine two sauces into one for all 12 wings, and one wanted to split his wings between two sauces, 6 and 6. "No problem" said the waitress. We waited and it was busy so the time was based on the situation (patrons shouldn't suffer though because you didn't staff your bar appropriately). The wings were delivered and they were crispy, amazingly cooked. We ordered the honey habanero and lemon pepper combo (again we asked if we could do this). There was zero spice so habanero needs to not be in that wing sauce name. Still though, that cook killed it-crispy. (Props-big time). So we get our bill and see we were charged a total of $6 extra dollars because we ordered different sauces. Huh? Do you charge to sauce the wings? If anything I should have been charged $1 for the extra lemon pepper seasoning you had to shake in there. But instead we were charged $2 per dozen for an extra $6 on the bill. Thats a jerk move. Legit, especially when things are getting tight out there, you have families there. Look you want to charge for extra sauce then whatever, but let people know. Have a big ole header that says "we have a weak honey habanero and any sauce you add will cost you a buck per sauce". This place clearly has a following and me not coming here again isn't going to do anything. I just want people to see this pricing insanity. read more

The food at Al's has been great and consistent every time I have visited. The restaurant is very fun with Bills and NY decor. The same older grey haired , hoddie wearing lady is there every time and she is not nice. Not sure if she is an owner or just been there a long time, but her customer service literally sucks. The bartender was nice however. I think if you're in customer service... maybe be nice to customers. read more

I had given this place a 5 star years ago and have always raved on this restaurant but after our last visit there we will not be returning. The older brown hair lady server that's always there and has been there for years RUIEND it. Which is sad because we love this place. We paid our ticket at the table and were leaving and she accused us of not paying for our meal in front of everyone and humiliated us. My husband showed her the receipt on his phone and everything and she still argued with him. Only to have the bar tender show my husband what wasn't paid which WASN'T even our ticket!!!! Then she couldn't even apologize to my husband she just said "well I guess you're good then" after all that embarrassment and NO APOLOGY! we have eaten here for years but that was enough for us. She never has a smile on her face and always comes to the table and just says "what do you want to drink" but ya know we have always just took it as her personality but we will not be treated that way. I have been going here sporadically for the last 12 years. It used to have a great menu with very good quality food. I went in today for mid-afternoon lunch and ordered the pizza. It was absolutely terrible. They must have changed crust and other things as I felt it was a frozen (not handmade) crust. Sauce was indifferent and toppings were few and somewhat inconsistent. Service was good but I noticed a huge turnover in staff with help wanted signs up. I ended up paying $30 for two beers and a 12" pizza. I will not make that mistake again. read more

Great sports bar. I would have never known it was in this shopping center until a friend told me. I was expecting a little dive, no it is huge with TV everywhere. Nice size bar and great customer service. The menu is large with everything on it pretty much. I got wings which were delicious. They were huge and perfectly cooked, I asked for extra crispy and they were. They had about ten different flavors, I got buffalo garlic parm and lemon pepper, amazing. I hate to do this but we had a terrible experience. The pizza was chalky and burnt. Cheese, bread, and sauce were all terrible and inedible. We couldn't get it down even with a ton of water. Also paid 9 dollars for tater tots and received about 14 for a basket. It's a shame but it was simply inedible. read more

In the months that this place has been open, we've dined there maybe 5 or 6 times. The food has always been good and service in general has been good. Just got back from dinner and I had fish and chips. One of my favorites but for some reason, I've never ordered it here. I've had burgers, wraps, buffalo chicken sandwiches, wings etc and they have all been good. The fish and chips was no exception. Two nice and flaky filllets which I topped with malt vinegar and they were delicous. The side salad that started out dinner was very good with an excellent Italian Dressing and Croutons. The fries were perfect and I was quite surprised with the cole slaw. I am not normally a fan of cole slaw in restaurants because it's limp and dripping of cabbage juice and mayonnaise. Not this time. The cabbage was crisp and evidently not been sitting around since this morning getting soggier with each passing hour. Just the way I like it. Only word of caution I would give is that this is a sports bar associated with the Buffalo Bills. If you're not a Bills fan, don't bother going at a time when the Bill's are playing. You can't get in the place and if you can, you won't be able to carry on a conversation. read more

We really wanted to like this place, but the food was not very good... if you are just wanting a drink and to watch some sports, then you should be fine. But if you are hungry, don't expect much. We started with the pretzel app. The pretzels were burnt, not flavorful, and the texture was wrong. The cheese dip was good. My buffalo chicken sandwich was ok, but I have had much better. The chicken was dry, not enough sauce, and the bun was old I think cause it was crumbly and not pleasant. My wife had the pierogi dinner and they were literally the Mrs. T brand you get in the frozen section at the grocery store. On top of all that the portions were meager. The servers were very friendly and it was speedy. The food was just lacking. We may give it another try, but not anytime soon. To those about to dine, maybe look elsewhere! This place is our go-to for wing night. Great wings and great sauce selection. My favorite is the spicy garlic parm.

Was looking for a place to grab a beer and watch the games on Christmas and saw where Al's was going to be open so we decided to go venture out. So glad we did. We enjoyed a few cold beers and snack and even had a friend join us. I found the service to be great, atmosphere was just right for game watching and the food was exactly what we needed after eating a ton over the weekend. Will continue to go back and see this as a great alternative to our normal hang outs. read more

Thursday is .49 wings. Wings are a little above average. Honey Habanero is a sweet burn and Old Bay is a dry rub. I ordered extra crispy. The wings are not to big or not to small... Blue cheese sauce is creamy and rich. The issue I had, see my pic, I had some weird wings. Funky shape, bones broken, meat very tuff. Dunno what's up with that, over the past twenty years of eating wings, I have only seen this at BW3's. No biggy, but lost three or four wings on my meal. My wife had the fish sandwich. She reports it was a small fillet, but tasted above average. I took stars off for the following issues.......Indoor vaping - nasty. Loud as hell - it's a sports bar, yeah yeah. Server was not friendly, after asking for water, it didn't come. Asked for ranch, it didn't come. We didn't order a second round, guess what? It came. LoL. The wings are great & the PBR tall boys are cold. I've enjoyed the food every time I've eaten there. It's a solid corner pub.

We come here almost every other day of the weekdays. Love their daily specials and late hours. While other restaurants and bars close their kitchen at 10pm, this one keeps serving fresh and good food anytime until midnight. They open til 2pm I think. It's nice to have a place to get Buffalo wings in Charlotte. Feels like I'm back eating wings in my hometown of Buffalo, NY.

Had been wanting to visit for quite a while. We waited until a Buffalo Bills playoff game to visit so we could really see the atmosphere at its best. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food and drinks were good as well. The service was a little slow but they were very busy when we visited so it wasn't a huge issue especially since the Bills game was on TV to pass the time. read more

A cleaned up dressed up version of Big Al's. Nice tavern style restaurant with a quality pub type menu. Plenty of TV's for sporting events at the bar and outdoor seating with both smoking and non-smoking sections. My go to menu item is the honey habanero wings, sweet and spicy and awesome. Great fun little bar and grill place. Seat yourself anywhere. The atmosphere is great and there are plenty of TVs to catch any sports game you want. The wings (specifically their honey mustard flavor) are great! They are very very pricey ($18 for 12 wings) but they are very tasty. The best bang for your buck comes with the build your own calzones. They are only $8 (or $10, can't recall) but they are massive! Add up to 4 toppings at 50cents each and you can have a dinner AND a full meal of leftovers. Their ranch is also some of the best I've had. Highly recommend this place. read more

The burger was decent, nothing special. It was hot like you'd expect a burger named 'Inferno' would be and also cooked the way I specified, but not the best hot burger I've had. The sweet potato fries were below average and Daddy likes special sauce with his sweet potato fries and the didn't offer any....i also didn't ask for any....so...there's that.
